Hell, she really didn't hold back on that last kick, I swear if I didn't know better I would think she was trying to kill me.
But who would think that a divinity could make such an adorable expression? It took most of my willpower to not try and jump her.
Of course if i tried, divinity or not I would probably end up dead... She's scary when angry.
Lifting myself from the ground I brush the dust from my clothing, grimacing at a particularly annoying stain on my shirt.
Releasing a fraction of my Divine Power, a gold and silver aura emanates from by body, the aura permeating my clothes and cleansing them of dirt.
To think, that I have only been a divinity for a mere two days, yet I have already become accustomed to wielding my Divine power.
Hell, two days ago I could barely call forth my aura, yet today I can manipulate it as easily as my own hand.
--------------------------------------------------------------------Two Days Earlier--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dark clouds gathered blanketing the night in a starless sky. The moon, a dull glow through the forming storm.
The winds whipped and wailed at the lands bellow, shrieking as if to curse the world. A single teardrop of rain coalesced, before it fell from the skies. As if on cue, the stormy clouds let loose the tears of heaven flooding the barren lands bellow. Each drop of rain like a mortar upon the land, throwing dirt and stone up into the air as they tore miniature craters in the ground. Soon the raindrops connected to form streams which in turn linked to form rivers; roaring dragons that carved their way through the lands of stone, rushing ever downwards to the cerulean blue sea.
Where wind and rain had come, soon followed thunder and lightning. Small sparks flashed fleetingly through the black clouds above, flashing and jumping between the clouds like the synapses of a monstrous being above. Within moments, large bolts of lightning struck the ground, arcing and twisting through the air like violent dragons traversing the sky.
'Crash. Crash. Crash'.
Lightning fell from the sky with increasing repetition, each strike calling forth a resounding thunder to cross the lands, each strike akin to the tribulations of an immortal or the strike of a god's hammer across the anvil that is the world.
Ninety-nine bolts of lightning struck the earth bellow, the soaked ground carrying the currents far and wide, dissipating only upon reaching the sea far from land. All rain had stopped, all wind had died, yet the clouds did not abide. Slowly and quietly, a spark grew within the heavens, illuminating the blackened clouds above. The clouds acknowledged the arrival of their owner, coalesced, spinning and churning, as though a black whirlpool within the skies. The spark in the centre grew and grew. For each rotation of the clouds, its size doubled until a piercing ball lightning, a divinity in the skies had formed, discharging sparks into the clouds around.
At first, there was silence. A pillar of lightning broke free from the clouds above, a rampaging beast that threatened to devour the land in its entirety descended on the mountain below. An incinerating light bleached the land; its rays painted the world in monochrome.
Where it reached, stone and earth turned to glass: glistening plates covering the land.
Unauthorized duplication: this narrative has been taken without consent. Report sightings.
Where it passed, entire seas were vapourised: oceans of mist where left in their place, settling upon the glass-lands.
Where there is lightning, thunder follows closely behind. An almighty roar shook the land, blew apart the storm and mist, shattered the glass lands: the scattered shards flew for miles around and ingrained themselves deep within the ground.
In the epicentre of the cataclysm the once mighty mountain stood; now reduced to a crystalline plateau of glass, the aftermath of the lightning having formed obsidian from the liquefied upper half of the mountain. The black mountain riddled with a spiderweb of gold and silver cracks, with origins in two points upon the heart of the plateau where a man and a woman laid unconscious, their bare bodies smoking from the heat of the lightning.
I awoke to a blue sky and a bright golden sun shining down burning my eyes.
"Shi-i-i-i-t"
I cry out, shutting my eyes in reaction to the light whilst rolling across the ground. Wait... I have eyelids? I open my eyes once more, this time with my head turned to the side in preparation for the light and I see.
"O-Oh!"
A goddess. A beautiful goddess lay before me.
Her body had a lightly toned form, with enough fat to retain its curves yet not enough to show significant muscle. Her bosom large enough to attract the attention of near any man, yet not ridiculously large. A perfect hourglass figure, a true golden ratio between her chest, waist and hips. Her full lips, rosy olive skin, strong nose and cheekbones, perfectly arched eyebrows, and lustrous straight black hair that reached down to her shoulders. But for me, the finisher was the small beauty spot on the right side of her face, just below the corner of her lips.
A goddess a goddess. There is no other way that a woman from my wildest dreams could exist. All thoughts of how I came to be gone, I rolled on my belly and inched towards her like a caterpillar.
Up close she was even more stunning. Flawless skin with no makeup, a light blush on her face giving her rosy cheeks.
Feeling myself flush as blood rushed to my face, my breathing became ragged as I tentatively reached a hand towards her.
I'm not a pervert I promise, I'm just trying to check her pulse! I'm a doctor dammit.
As my hand neared her 'neck' I gulped. It has been a long time since I've seen a woman 'a la naturale', as research took up the majority of my time so right now I'm incredibly nervous.
Just as I was about to 'make contact'...
"Ahem."
She woke up...
"What are you doing?"
"..."
"..."
I grab her chest.
"Don't worry I'm a doctor."
"..."
"Hmm you have an irregular heart rate, I would recommend a massage therapist; fortunately I'm qualified."
A wide grin spreads across my face as I inch my other hand towards her.
"All enemies of women shall die."
"Wait wha-AA!"
The world appeared to be flying alongside me, with my face to the sky. Did I just get kicked? Huh is it just me or is it getting dark again? Ah shit not agai-zzzzzzz.
(Author's Cloud - We interrupt this POV due to our MC getting the pervert beaten out of him by our female lead, we will try to prevent him getting irreparable brain damage, the next segment of the chapter will be released hopefully tomorrow)
--------------------------------------------------------------------Author's Cloud for real--------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry all of you readers out there, I know that only now when the holidays are over am I finally starting writing again, but I have a serious condition. I'm a part time NEET and lazy person (orz). It takes an incredible amount of willpower to for me to do anything outside of eat, sleep, game (and look KAWAII as ****) during the holidays, and I have so much fun reading stories myself, but I created Alpha After Omega (How does AAO sound as an abbreviation?) and such, like a drunken wastrel single father during a rare moment of soberness, I realise that I have to care for my baby, and care I will! like seriously if I was a father, how could I grow my kids if I can't grow my stories. Right?
So anywaaaay, I'm going to try make writing a regular thing, I feel if I make it a habit then I'll get used to making more frequent releases.
And again gomen-gomen for being an irresponsible author hopefully not too many of you guys gave up on my story, Falling Out!
P.S. considering my username is FallingFromTheSkies, what do you guys think of me abbreviating myself to FFTS?
