On the day before school started I sat alone in my room, scrolling through social media, looking for anything interesting to pass my time.
That's when I stumbled upon an advertisement for the upcoming idol group "Sweet Magic." I had never heard of them before, but something about their name and their aesthetic caught my attention.
I clicked on the link and found myself watching their debut music video. The catchy tune and the synchronized dancing of the five members immediately drew me in. I watched the video again and again, mesmerized by the energy and charisma of the idols.
The Idol that stood out to me the most was Mika, she wasn't the best singer in the group but her dancing and beautiful appearance more than made up for it. I loved how she always looked me right in the eyes, as if she knew I was watching.
It was getting late, but I decided to stay up all night and search for as many videos of Sweet Magic as I could find. There weren't that many, but I kept revisiting them one after another. There was something about this idol group that had captured my attention like no other. I kept watching until I felt exhausted. Before I knew it I fell asleep.

"Kanashi! Kanashi! Wake up Kanashi! You're going to be late for school!" My sister Suzume suddenly barged into my room. "Aaah" I sighed when I realized I overslept. I got up and rushed down the stairs, showered, and packed my lunch. "Have a good day in school" my sister said before I left. "Don't worry I'll be fine" I answered before leaving through the front door.
I took my bicycle outside. It was raining, so I decided to go back in and bring my raincoat with me. Once I was back outside I hopped on my bicycle and cycled as fast as I could, hoping i would make it just in time.
I was nervous, today was my first day in a new class. Luckily I already knew someone who would be in my class. It was Daiki, he was my childhood friend since we were in kindergarten.
We were neighbors here in Tokyo until he left with his parents on a 5-year trip to America. Today was the day that he would finally return.
