Part 6. Conflict
The doors and water pipes disappeared automatically, and the three of them were lying in a courtyard. In front of them stood an upside-down house with a sign at the entrance that read "Upside Down House."
"Haha... Haha... Haha... It was a close call, huh~~~ Hahaha!" Toosb burst into laughter as if he had narrowly escaped death.
Amisa slowly stood up and walked towards Jasky. Seeing this, Jasky quickly stood up and said, "Are you okay?"
Smack!
Jasky snapped back to reality, feeling a burning sensation on his cheek. He couldn't believe it as he touched his reddened and swollen face. He turned his head and saw Amisa wearing the same terrified expression that had appeared behind the pink cheese tea cup house, even more severe than before.
Amisa asked coldly, "Why did you not help when you saw me tied up?"
"What are you talking about?"
"You saw me bound, and your first instinct was to have Mido steal the key. Did you plan on leaving me behind without those water pipes?"
Toosb ran over with an apologetic expression, saying, "I'm sorry, Amisa. The situation was pressing..."
"If we didn't find the Door of Kindred Spirits, we would all have been trapped under the debris," Jasky interjected with a cold tone.
"So, it doesn't matter what happens to me, right?"
"I didn't say that. I intended to use dessert magic to save you."
"When I saw you guys, the floor was perfectly fine. You could have saved me first, but you had Mido steal the key. Were you planning on saving yourselves and leaving me behind?"
If you encounter this narrative on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
This sarcasm made Jasky angry too. "If I were only saving myself, would I have asked Toosb to find the door?"
"Amisa! Calm down a bit!" Toosb hurriedly stepped in between them. " Jasky made the decision in less than 30 seconds. Without the key, we couldn't have escaped!"
"You're the same! You told me those headphone microphones wouldn't attack, and that they would return to normal once we got the key. What happened?"
"But... but I got the key just now, and the phone stopped acting up..."
"Shut up! Are you saying I'm lying? Once I got the key, they didn't stop bothering me. Do you want to hear all those sarcastic comments? Do you know how much it drove me to the brink of madness?"
"Alright, I apologize," Toosb said helplessly, scratching his head.
"What are you apologizing for?" Jasky retorted without backing down. "He's not wrong. I also got the key, and the recording devices returned to normal. We didn't think of any other reasons and just jumped to conclusions. You're the one who chose that path."
"So, are you blaming me for choosing the wrong path? Fine! If I had known you only cared about yourselves, I should have handled it myself. I could have just taken the Black Mirror from the church and gone home!"
"So now you're speaking the truth?" Jasky pointed at the blue dress pocket emitting a black faint light. "At the opera house, that bizarre singing of yours made me suspect that you might be hiding something. Is it the forbidden dream instrument the voice instructor mentioned? And you want to escape from the Pink Tea Cup House!"
"What opera? I have no idea what's happening!"
"Of course, you wouldn't know! Because you were being controlled by that thing! We've been warning about how the mirror might destroy the world, but all you cared about was restoring your voice. Did you not care about the lives of others?"
"What about my life? You could have saved me. Clearly, you dream entities are all untrustworthy!"
"'Dream entities'?" Jasky was confused by this new term, and so was Toosb.
"Exactly! The Pudding Cup Corridor bird person said that to you?"
"... Seeing Amisa silent, Jasky shook his head and spread his hands. "Admitting it? You actually believed someone whose background you didn't even know."
"At least he told me where this is. Unlike certain groups of mentors who only beat around the bush and dragged me into some racial war."
"What do you know? They have their reasons!"
"And I don't? I was forcefully dragged here while trying to make a movie. For whose sake? It's all for themselves. You're all the same, selfish individuals!"
"So, are you not selfish?"
"It's not the same as you being selfish!"
The two of them argued fiercely, neither willing to back down. Unnoticed by them, the black faint light in the dress pocket was growing stronger.
After a few minutes of standoff, Toosb attempted to ease the tension. "Um, should we go check out that house first? Without seeing the Intellect Insect, none of us can leave..."
"I don't need you to tell me! I'll find a way to leave on my own. Don't come and hinder me!" Amisa walked towards the Upside Down House. Mido tried to follow, but was shouted at, "Don't follow me! Traitor!"
Bump!
"Chirp..." Witnessing Amisa slamming the door shut, Mido lowered its head sadly. Toosb gently picked it up and noticed a hint of ferocity Jasky's expression.
"Are you okay?"
"Let me calm down." Jasky sat down on the grass, closed his eyes, and contemplated, trying to organize his emotions. He could feel the heavy impact of the recent argument.
"............"
After five minutes of silence, Toosb slowly spoke up. "Um, I think, Amisa was just under a lot of pressure from losing her voice. You know how toxic those electronic devices' insults were."
"Don't we have pressure too?" Jasky sighed with resignation and forced himself to stand up. "Forget it, let's move forward."
"Alright..."
