Prologue: Why don't I dare?

Prologue: Why don't I dare?

"Lu Xun, bastard do you dare to accept my duel?"

Within the Blue River School, a youth was pointing his finger towards another youth. One could see the hatred he had toward the opposite party from his disgusted expression.

Showing an unperturbed expression, Lu Xun sighed and coldly said, "Why don't I dare?" Then harrumphed and continued, "I hope you'll be ready to be thoughtfully beaten in two weeks." Before leaving the hall.

What was wrong with this fellow? Did he hit the wall too hard this morning after that he got beaten up? How can after a single day, this fellow changed so much! It was hard to imagine that it was the very same boy that he used to bully these past few days.

Looking at Lu Xun who left the hall, Dong Bai released a killing intent while muttering. "You're really sick of living Lu Xun." He was totally infuriated.

How can such a weakling be so arrogant? If I do not cripple you during our duel, then my name is not Dong Bai!

Leaving the hall followed by his servants, Dong Bai was suddenly stopped by a young girl.

In this prestigious Blue River School, every student knows that young girl. She was a top beauty and a genius from one of the strongest clan within this Silverleaf City, Xia Xiu!

Xia Xiu was been infatuated by Dong Bai since the first time he saw her. It was also the reason why he was being infuriated because of Lu Xun too!

If Xia Xiu didn't befriend with such a weakling like Lu Xun, then Dong Bai won't even give a thought about him.

"Dong Bai..." Hesitating to speak, she was immediately interrupted by Dong Bai. "I know what you want to say, but he accepted the duel." Looking at Xia Xiu's worried face, his mood worsened and he continued. "It's too late for him to regret now." Before leaving Xia Xiu alone and left the hall.

Watching Dong Bai's back, Xia Xiu sighed while showing a complicated expression.

Lu Xun was only an acquaintance that she met not too long ago but he was still a good person. She doesn't want him to suffer because of her but the harm was already done. She knows Dong Bai's temper, he probably won't hold back during the duel between him and Lu Xun.

If they were going to fight, Lu Xun was probably going to become crippled for life. She thought that he may change his decision after talking with her, but it was a foolish thinking.

.........

Returning to his own dormitory, Lu Xun sat on his bed and let out a depressed sigh.

What depressed him wasn't the fact that he was going to have a duel with Dong Bai, but this body was really too weak!

Liu Shan was an Immortal of another world, a world called Nine Great Heavens.

In that world, he was the founder of one of the strongest sect, the Saint Sword Sect. A legendary figure that represented the mighty Saint Sword Sect.

Unfortunately, Liu Shan died poisoned during a celebration of the Saint Sword Sect. The culprit was an elder from his own sect. Drinking the whine without noticing it, he died only after realizing that it was a trap set up by the latter.

Once he regained his conscience, he realized that his soul fused with a youth named Lu Xun. Recollecting the youth's memories, he learned that he was no longer in the Nine Great Heaven.

The other world's name that Liu Shan reincarnated was the Prism Continent.

A world where two existence, martial artists, and magus were standing at the pinnacle of the world. They were mighty beings revered by the commoners. Even an emperor needs to be respectful towards a strong martial artist or a high-ranked magus.

Having an enormous war potential, they could change the tide of a war between two nations. It was common to have expert martial artists and high-ranked magus within an empire. The more expert artists and magus an empire possessed, the stronger they are.

Lu Xun was a disciple of the Blue River School, one of the top school within the Snowfall Province. The Blue River School located at the south-east of the Qin Empire, in the Silverleaf City.

For a commoner like Lu Xun, to enter the Blue River School was an unbelieved feat that only few people could achieve.

Gaining the agreement of his family, Lu Xun left his village and tried his best to become a martial artist. He wished that one day, he could bring glory, fame and wealth to his Lu Family.

Unfortunately, Lu Xun's talents within the Blue River School was average.

Coming from a poor family, he couldn't afford to buy medicines and pills. In the end, without a solid cultivation, he couldn't enter to the early-stage of the Prism Stage.

One day, Lu Xun was wandering within the Silverleaf City with a depressed expression.

He wondered how he could improve his cultivation without spending money. Without paying attention to his surroundings, Lu Xun bumped into a girl.

It was the meeting of his first love, a girl whose name was Xia Xiu. She was the daughter of Xia Huong, the patriarch of one of the strongest clan within Silverleaf City.

Xia Xiu was the most beautiful disciple within the Blue River School. On the top of being a genius, she was gentle and modest. The perfect girl that everyone wishes to have as their woman.

She was an idol of the many disciples within the Blue River School.

After that he became her friend, Lu Xun received the hatred and the jealousy of the other disciples. Especially from Dong Bai, a young master of the Dong Clan.

Reaching the middle-stage of the Alpha Prism Stage, Dong Bài was a rare talent amongst his peers. Compared to Lu Xun, the difference between them was like Heaven and Earth.

Several days after that Lu Xun met Xia Xun, Lu Xun left the Blue River School to buy low-grade medicines plants. Having saved his economy for a whole month, he could finally afford to buy them.

Dong Bai took this opportunity to follow him. Accompanied by his servants, they cornered Lu Xun in an isolated alley and beat him to death.

It was at this moment that Lu Xun's personality changed. Of course, the main reason was Liu Shan whose soul entered within Lu Xun's body.

Recalling Lu Xun's memories, Liu Shan opened both of his eyes. With a firm resolution, he slowly muttered. "Don't worry Lu Xun, I'll avenge you before returning back to the Nine Great Heavens." before starting his physical training.

Right now, Lu Xun's body was really weak.

He didn't know how to refine his Qi through the Qi Refining Technique. Worse than that, he still didn't enter the early-stage of the Alpha Prism Stage.

If Liu Shan was to fight Dong Bai now, it was nearly impossible for him to win. Not to mention to fulfill Lu Xun's revenge.

As for why Liu Shan wanted to fulfill Xu Ming's wish, it was only because he fused with his body. If it wasn't for the fact that he needs to become stronger, Liu Shan won't even give a thought about helping Lu Xun.

It was because that Lu Xun died that he could reincarnate into his body. Liu Shan doesn't really have a grudge against Dong Bai, in fact, he even wanted to thanks him. But since he now possessed Lu Xun's body, he felt guilty and thought that he should at least return him the favor.

After two hours of intense physical training, Liu Shan's body was full of sweats. Picking a white towel from the closet, he washed the sweats on his body.

Once he finished washing his body, he sat on the ground and started meditating.

A little yellow flame ignited within Liu Shan's body. The little flame that was two times smaller than the end of his index. Examining the little flame, both of his eyebrows frowned.

Lu Xun's Qi Energy was the same as a commoner who never trains his Qi Energy. Liu Shan even wondered how in the world did this fellow succeed to enter the Blue River School.

After a long thought, Liu Shan decided to learn a Cultivation Technique that doesn't use his Qi Energy. The weakest one that comes to his mind was the Primal Body Strengthening Technique.

The Primal Body Strengthening Technique was a relatively weak Cultivation Technique. It was a cultivation technique that could slowly improve one's body. Every time one break through a layer, one's strength could improve tremendously.

There was a total of twenty-four layers. After completing a layer, the next one was ten times harder to reach.

Compared to the cultivation techniques from the Prism Continent, it was relatively strong.

With Liu Shan's actual body, reaching the first layer was extremely hard. Even so, he was the sect founder of the mighty Saint Sword Sect. A few hours of meditating were enough for him.

Searching for the twelve meridians located within his body, it took him less than a few minutes. After finding the spots, he started meditating using the Primal Body Strengthening Technique.

3 hours later, he reaches the first layer as he expected. It was an amazing feat that only a genius could achieve.

But Liu Shan was the creator of the Primal Body Strengthening Technique. He knows every layer and each condition necessary to broke through them. It was a feat that he could do as easy as breathing. Noticing the changes of his body, he let out a slight smile.

Liu Shan's body was now three times stronger than before. Muscles were appearing on his body. Knowing that it was impossible for him to reach the second layer, he stopped meditating it.

Since his body was now a bit stronger than before, he decided to improve his qi energy by meditating the Soul-Spirit Flux.

The Soul-Spirit Flux was a cultivation technique that improves one's qi efficiently. It could also purify one's qi to an astonishing level. Although Liu Shan's qi energy was already pure due to the fact that he never eats pills, it was not one hundred percent pure.

After an hour of meditation, Liu Shan succeeded to reach the first layer of the Soul-Spirit Flux.

The qi energy within his body now was ten times larger having the size of half of the palm of his hand. It was also the purest qi energy that one could find within the Prism Continent.

Satisfied by his progress, Liu Shan examined his body and noticed that he entered the early-stage of the Alpha Prism Stage. Liu Shan's qi energy could now be considered as decent.

Standing up, he decided to practice the Dragon Mirror Movement. A martial movement skill that could improve one's movement to become smoother and quicker. It could also slightly improve one's physical strength.

Practicing the Dragon Mirror Movement for half an hour, Liu Shan's stomach suddenly growled loudly.

It has been more than five hours since he started his intense training inside his room. It was already strange that he wasn't hungry until now.

Leaving his room, Liu Shan directed towards the refectory of the Blue River School.
