Long before the awakening of the Yuishi and the Shutras, there was only darkness. Within this never-ending darkness, stood the last of the Ayidi, beings of great power akin to godhood.
Faint sounds of a melody of ages passed could be heard coming from the being’s mouth. As the being sang, its skin began to shine in a pale luster of gold. From its hand, there laid a flame as bright as the sun. From it, the Darkness could see a faint trace of sadness from the being’s face. Its face seems to have aged considerably, his hair had turned white and his wrinkles were more noticeable than before.
As the song ended, the being began to look at the darkness that was surrounding him, his red shining eyes eyeing its enemy from afar. In a quick hand gesture, the being poured more essence into the flame to keep it alive, but it made him feel weaker. He had difficulty breathing, but the power from its breath did not falter. Each time the being breathed, the Darkness around it shook in terror. The fire from this being was strong, but the Darkness was not preoccupied as it knew that this being was about to die, thus allowing it to consume the last fragments of this space.
“Truly treacherous you are…. Mistris!” screamed the being as tears began to pour out of his eyes. He tried to move, but he found himself unable to. His body filled with deadly wounds was no longer able to support itself. He suddenly felt as if a great weight was being put unto him and began to fall down. As he laid down, he closed his eyes and sighed.
“I was not able to save you nor our people. I have failed you, in this life…” whispered the being, a faint trace of melancholy resided in his voice. He knew his time was up, but he still tried to stretch his arm far into the darkness, as if grab hold of something yet visible, but unattainable to him.
“I will find you, wait for me!” shouted the being with his last breath. Its voice filled with longing and yet dread echoed throughout the space as its breath shook it. Fear began to instill itself in the Darkness, but its fears were alleviated as it saw the motionless corpse of the being, whose arm seemed to still be stretched far above his head as if something was holding it, in place.

Sensing that the being was dead, the Darkness began to descend upon him, however, it stopped and looked in awe and fear as the Will of the being came out of its heart. The Darkness, not wasting any time, swopped down and engulfed the Will of the being. The Darkness to its surprise noticed that the Will began to bathe in it as if it were mere water.
The Darkness disliked the Will, it tried to consume it again, but the Will persevered. Sensing something amiss, the Darkness continued its restless assault against the Will, knowing that it would become its mortal enemy. This struggle for dominance in this deep and vast, yet unpopulated space continued for many millenniums. As ages passed, the Will became strong. It became as bright and strong as a flame, undying and ruthless against the Darkness. Slowly it started swallowing the Darkness, driving it deeper and deeper into the recess of the space. Seeing the Darkness finally defeated before it, the Will began its work. Realms, universes, and worlds were created to populate the space and within each and every one of these, it sculpted mountains, plants, forests, and created water. The Will sensed that it needed to create living beings that were akin to it to populate the space. The Yuishi, masters of light and fire, were the first to be born and bathed in the light of the Will. Soon afterward animals, mortals, and spiritual beasts of every kind were born.
Seeing this, the Will was content, it began to create and disperse spiritual essence around the space. Now, however, seeing all of this, the Will knew the Darkness would try to devour it. Sensing the impending doom of its creation, it began to create laws. Laws that will prevent its creation from aiding the Darkness. Ten laws were formed and scattered across the space as to rule over all life with an iron fist. It named these laws, the Laws of the Heavens.
Once the laws were scattered, the Will’s fire began to dwindle. A single and unnoticeable spark created by it separated itself from the Will and began to make its way towards the space. The Will taking no notice of it, had, once again, started its long watch and battle against the Darkness that still resided in the space…
