It was just a regular day, everyone was doing their job, the coffee shop workers made iced latte's, the people who make robots tested out their new AI and hunters were out in the wild to catch food. They all never would have expected the occurrence, some call it "The Reapening" as it killed an extremely large amount of people, and some called it "Heaven's light" as it gave them supernatural abilities.

Joseph was a regular worker at a robotics department focusing on creating robots for the government, it wasnt specified to him what for but they have to be mobile, fast, accurate and smart. They were testing their newest model, VIKTOR, it was a remarkable robot with a name that fit him too. VIKTOR stood for Variant In Kato's Teachings Of Robotics, they read and learned a lot from Ichiro Kato.

They were running tests in their outdoor field, seeing if it could navigate an, admittedly a man made, forest and do the tasks it had to do for their project goals and what they had to work on in regards to the robot. The robot worked well but has a scary looking visage, a terminator esque skeleton with a steel human skeleton powered by pistons instead of muscles and tendons, if the robot looked into Joseph's eyes his spine would always shiver, even if he knew it couldn't hurt him.

As Joseph watched the robot crush a fake skull to bits with its bare hands he suddenly saw a bright light and it hurt his eyes, he decided it was best to let his team handle the rest of the robot as he wanted to either be out of sight of it, or be able to see it and not be seen by it but not be able to see it. As he went inside the light kept getting brighter and brighter, he entered a few locked doors and after what seemed like dozens of doors the light finally stopped breaking through the cracks.

"Oh boy if this causes that robots ocular modules the corp is gonna be piiiiissed, i better grab a new pair just in case its fried, I wonder how Carl and Ian are doing in that light. Eh they're probably fine, most likely went inside too cuz that light was about to blind me, anyways back to getting new ocular modules for good ole vik, hope he doesnt struggle hah-" Joseph suddenly feels and hears a loud boom and falls to the floor, he quickly gets up, grabs the eyes for the robot and runs back out with sunglasses on.

Ian and Carl lay on the floor motionless, but the robot, VIKTOR is still standing upright and looking at his hands, moving them as if he is confused with them and doesn't know what to do. Joseph looked at his friends on the floor. Joseph runs to his friend Ian, he puts his fingers on the side of his neck to feel a pulse but is mortified when he doesn't feel one, he mumbles to himself "w- wh- what ha- happened?"

As he sees VIKTOR walking towards him, he runs back inside, locking the robot outside and himself in, he walks around the building and sees some alive and some slumped over in their chairs. Everyone is freaking out and looking around, calling their families and making sure they are okay. Everyone returns home and Joseph later hears an emergency message.

"EVERYONE, THE DEATH OF EVERYONE HAS BEEN NAMED 'THE OCCURRENCE' FOR NOW, WE ARE UNAWARE WHAT HAS CAUSED PEOPLE TO DIE BUT SOME HAVE SURVIVED WITH ABNORMAL POWERS. ONE PERSON HAS BEEN CAPTURED WITH POWERS HAS BEEN NICKNAMED 'WOLF' AND HAS THE ABILITY TO CONTROL PLANTS AND ANIMALS TO A CERTAIN DEGREE. IF YOU HAVE SURVIVED THE OCCURRENCE PLEASE ENTER YOUR LOCAL GOVERNMENT ESTABLISHMENT ON YOUR BIRTHDAY, WE DO IT LIKE THIS TO AVOID EXTREME AMOUNTS OF PEOPLE FLOODING THE ESTABLISHMENTS.
