Chapter 1
A world without a future
The year is 2022 its been four years since the world fell into disorder. After suffering from a cold war and humanity almost destorying themselves with super weapons they somehow came to an uneasy peace… that is until they showed up, Nephilim or the fallen ones is what people are calling them. Completing catching most countries off guard the damage they caused was devastating. Facing complete annihilation each countries was forced to work together to combat these creatures.
*Sigh* How did I end up in this mess? The girl thought while watching the scenery fly past her, today was just a like any other day waking up at 4am following her drill sergeant morning workout, than eating breakfast. But before she can even finish her breakfast, a group of soldiers came into the mess hall told her about some project and before she could even respond found herself practically thrown into a copter leaving everyone in the mess hall dumbfounded.
Still somewhat in shock the girl looks at her kidnappers trying to figure out what they want. “Sorry miss are attention wasn’t to kidnap you.” One of the solider said while noticing the girl gaze. “It just that we’re on a tight schedule and we couldn’t wait for your response. “O-ok” was the only thing the girl could say the solider was trying calm her down but all it did was raise more questions. Like why did they send trained solider to pick her like she was some V.I.P especially since they’re on tight schedule? Feeling even more nervous now the girl look at the I.D that one of the soldiers gave her when she got the helicopter.

What the heck is a dawn project? I never heard of it before is it some type of new super weapon? If so why am I eligible to join I barley finish my training at camp, they must have confuse me for someone else. *sigh* If I keeping thinking this hard I’m going to get a headache, once we get to our destination I’ll clear this misunderstanding up but for now I’ll just enjoy the view.

Finally after 2 hours the copter arrive at some base near a mountains ranges. As soon as the helicopter landed she was led out of the copter, “sorry miss we can’t show you around base since we got another mission, but someone should be coming for you in a few minutes see you later.” As soon as he finished talking the solider got back on the helicopter and then took off. “Wow they really are on a tight schedule.” Alisa just stood there watching the helicopter fly away not knowing what do until someone called out to her. “Ms. Fawn I presumed?” “Y-yes that’s me” Alisa turns around and noticing the solider. “Right this way please” the solider started to walk motioning Alisa to follow him.
After walking for a few minutes Alisa notice that they pretty much walk past all the barrack and into something like a science department after minutes of silence Alisa finally spoke up, “Um excuse me where are we going?” The solider turns around having a slight confuse expression on his face. “You didn’t know? We’re heading to Dr. Thomas office you have an appointment with him. “Dr. Thomas?!” Alisa shouted her face completing falling into a panic state. “I- I think you have the wrong person” “No the Doctor personally ask to see Alisa Fawn in person, you’re her right? “Y- Yea that’s me”. Alisa was completed dumbfounded. Dr. Thomas is considered to be the smartest person in the world he created state of the art military tech that gave the humans a fighting chance against new breed of creature, why would someone as famous and smart as him want to see me?

Finally arriving at an office that had sign on that said Dr. Thomas the solider knock three times until a male voice said come in. After entering Alisa saw three people wearing white lab coats sitting around a fancy desk that look like it belongs in the oval office, looks like they were having meeting. “Sorry looks like we’ll have to finish this meeting another time gentleman” A man blonde hair and a buzz cut who I presume to be Dr. Thomas stood up ushering the lab coats to the door. After the lab coats left Thomas turn toward Alisa let out a gentle smile which made her look away nervously, “Thank you for escorting her to my office” Thomas said while turning towards the soldier. “No problem sir but I must head back to the barrack since where short on man power.” “Go ahead and thanks again” The solider give Thomas a salute and then left the office leaving Alisa and Thomas alone.
“Ms. Fawn I’m very happy you could make it” Thomas held out his hand waiting for her to shake it. “N-nice to meet you” Alisa said while nervously shaking his hand. “Ha-ha no need to be nervous, c’mon sit” Thomas motion her sit in a chair that was facing his desk which he proceeded to sit in. “Now the first thing I want to say is sorry we met under this situation to be honest at first I was planning on personally coming to you talk you, but the higher ups stop me so I had no choice but to send someone to get you, which brings us to this situation”. “I’m not going to sugarcoated it humanity is losing this war even with all are superior technology were still no match for these creatures which is why I created a new project that will combat them directly and I want you to join it.”
Thomas look at Alisa with a dead serious look that stun Alisa for few seconds. “Why me I’m just trainee that just got out of school?” “That true but I don’t want soldiers I want someone with a sense of justice that will fight this threat without fear and also lead this world to a new future… A new dawn and I think that person is you.” It certainly was true Alisa always had a sense of justice which she seem to inherit from her mom. Her mother use to tell her stories of when she was in the army like when she and her platoon save a starving village from slave traders or when they led people that got caught in an earthquake to safety. Which much to her mother dismay made her want to join the army? “Listen I know you may had been forced to come here but you get to choose whether you want to join or not” Alisa study the man face he didn’t seem to have any ill attention plus the main reason why she join the army was to save people just like her mother. To Alisa this was like a dream come true. “Yes I want to join the project” Thomas smile widen “excellent I knew you make the right decision well than welcome to a New Dawn.”
