“They are here,” Horys said. “They arrived near sunset.”
They had come here to speak to Lady Kornet, ruler of this fiefdom in the Kingdom of the Blue Dragon, but she had not come to greet them personally, sending only her castellan to speak with Sorika and the others.
“Where?” Sir Wynet asked. “We have just come from a quest location and we were to meet up with them here in Lady Kornet’s territory.”
They were in the dining chamber, the night hours getting late, but the moon shining bright rays of light past the diamond patterned window braces.
Atop the heavy wooden table candles burned, with more flickering above from the double chandelier. The melt-off from the wax and the excessive build up had formed into large ominous stalactites.

Horys nodded. “They went with two of my lady’s knights, Sir Morryn and Sir Xanderial to the top of the hills located directly outside of the village to the north-east. They went—“
“To destroy a spider nest,” Sorika said, finishing his statement.
Horys nodded gravely. “There’s something about that nest that is unnatural—even for monsters.”
“Then there is no more reason for us to linger here. We will rejoin our party immediately,” Sir Wynet said. “Thank you for your help.”
“No, Sir Knight. Thank you.”
With a final nod, Sorika tuned and led the group out of the small castle.
“A spider nest shouldn’t be very difficult to destroy,” Mai said quietly in Sorika’s ear. “Maybe they’re in trouble.”
With a quick glance at the other girl, Sorika increased the speed of her gait. “Let’s not waste any more time.”
