Adventures of Stephen Silworth
The Woman with a tail

The Woman with a tail

One marvellous morning in Ward City, the acclaimed Stephen Silworth was having a breakfast in a café that was located at the intersection of Maker Street and Culinary Street in the close vicinity close to his own office. His secretary had a week off at that point, for family reasons. Stephen might have yelled at her too much in the past month.

So he wanted to have a breakfast. When he arrived, the café was almost full, so he had to sit down to those free seats at the counter. He asked for a standard breakfast, which he was given after half an hour. Of course, he started to read a book, but the barstool, he was sitting on, had nothing to lean on. This made his back miserable. He had quality meal consisting of half fried eggs and the cheapest sausages the city could produce.

“What a pathetic service. I would hang myself, if I was the manager…” Told Stephen to shopkeeper, whose grim stare gave him an immediate response.

“If you would be the manager, people might start throwing their faeces around, like last time you came here doing business… It made my shop quite notorious.”

“Told you, there is no other way dealing with an ape’s ghost. You have to hit them with your excrement. I only play by nature’s rules here…”

“Why did you throw yours at me, then?”

“I made a mistake. I am not used to throwing some of my dump around in a restaurant, you know. I was nervous.” He made a smirk, when the shopkeeper did not pay attention. Following the casual conversation, Stephen turned around. He heard some people enter the premise, so he wanted to examine them. A man came in, and shortly after him a blonde girl, with all the best qualities one can have, stumbled in. Her stern blue eyes, semi-frail body, perfect bosom and bottom displayed her as an angel, who fell from heaven, because the other, way uglier ones ostracized her. The young man was ordinary, but he had timid posture. There was nothing else. He was just an ordinary nerd.

Stephen thought that this might result in a devious disaster, so he observed closely and waited for his personal play given by fate. Also, there was an older women and a millennial next to him, whom he hated without any reason. Hating prejudice, and they surely reeked of that, he branded them being the people he tended to work with. The whining youth and the whining old, whose only words were ‘My Generation does it better’, contributed to his hatred, but he had common sense. Not everyone is bad. And he never denied any customers, especially when they had money.

The man sat down to a booth, the girl sat next to his. After some minutes, the girl stood up, and relocated herself in front of the man. He was knee deep in some research notes or so, he did not realize she was there. Stephen overheard what came afterwards.

“Hey there…” She said out of the blue.

When the man realized there was a girl in front of him, his only reply was “Me?”

“Yes.”

“How can I be of your service?” He blushed. Stephen saw he had no experience with women, and he was swayed by the girl just by saying hello.

“Do you know how to use a phone?”

Stephen saw his disappointment. “Yes, I do?”

“Can I ask your number then? I find you kind of cute.”

The man could explode any moment. “Of course.” He wrote his number down to a tissue, and gave it to her.

“Look. There is a particular reason I am talking to you. I have been working for a long time now and let’s say, I forgot to tend to my needs. Unfortunately, I have no one to help me with this…”

The man gulped.

“Would it be possible?”

“What exactly?” He blushed and started to act anxious.

“You know…” She shifted her hands toward her nether regions.

If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.

“If you want me…” At that moment, he accidentally poured some water over the girls white shirt, which became almost transparent, revealing her natural aspects.

“I am getting all excited…” She stood up, and the transparency transferred to her lesser parts as well. It was not as plain as he thought it would be.

When he realized who she, or preferably zhe, was, he started stuttering quietly. “O… O… On second thought, I would refuse…”

“What? You agreed…” Saying these words aloud, her eyes reflected all the mistakes he had done, and that he would be put into her care.

“I have an important meeting in half an hour.” He stuttered even quieter.

“You can’t do this to me…” She said more audible than the last one.

The young woman next to Stephen stood up and went there to join in. “What did you do? Did you hurt this fine lady here?”

“I do not think he is a lady…” answered the man, was almost inaudible.

The girl made facial expression that made people think she had been harassed by this ultimately abusive person.

“It is definitely a she. How dare you question her gender? It doesn’t matter what she looks like, or what she has. She chose to be a woman, and she is beautiful for it. You should be ashamed and you should feel lucky that she chose you. Not everyone is as lucky as you are.”

The man did not even reply. He was devastated.

Stephen heard the old woman say something. “If you agreed, you should do it. It doesn’t matter what you feel. You agreed, so do what you must. If everyone was slacking off, nothing would be done. And I am sure it is a she, no male could be this beauty…”

Stephen stood up and approached the table. “Are you finished with your presentation?” He whispered “Come to the toilet as soon as possible.”

“And who might you be? His privileged white male boss? Are you okay with the atrocities companies commit against women and trans-people day after day?”

“I do not know of that, maybe ask Ms Sausage here.”

“Whaaaaaat??? How dare you?”

He did not even look at the young one. “You have gender studies degree, or what?”

“Yes. And that makes me qualified in deciding if you are oppressing people or what.”

“It doesn’t matter what you think…” Replied Stephen

“What matters is how she feels…” Replied the young one angrily.

“Right now I feel that I am a homosexual woman, who is marginalized by someone like you, who know better how I feel. I was put into this terrible body and…” Stephen started to cry fake tears. “It is awful I have to put up with people like you…” In this moment of confusion, the guy slipped away. Then Stephen ran away, like a spoiled little brat, whose parents didn’t buy the candy he would have wanted to lay his fingers on.

The bathroom, designed for male usage, was in a terrible state. Stephen peeked in the women’s once, and that was of exceptional quality. Clean sink, toilets, paper and soap were present, stuff like that. None of these quality service were present at the male section. Nobody knows why.

“You’ve got into quite a situation…” said Stephen to the guy. “You know, I do not resent people, who have taken a non-conventional way of representing themselves. I only hate people, who try to force themselves on others, always coming up with things that is convenient only for them. I do not care about gender, race or sexuality. If you have the merits and take responsibility, then please. Just do not be a jackass.”

“Yeah, yeah, great. So what should I do?” He was anything but calm.

“How long was the thing between Mr. Sister’s legs?”

“What does it matter?”

“If it is normal, then he just wants to have fun. If that is the case, I cannot help. On the other hand, if it was long, then you found yourself a succubus.”

“A what?”

“A succubus. You know what it is, right? Commonly depicted with horns and furry legs. In reality, they only have a tail, which is located where human genitals would be. It is common that they make a complete fool out of their targets and force them to do something embarrassing. That gives them power, you know.”

“Right… How can I get rid of it?”

“You could kill her, but I do not recommend it. You look weak and pathetic, so it would not work out, not to mention what would happen afterwards.”

“That is it?”

“Naturally, there is another way…”

“What? What is it?”

“Promise me you will leave all your prejudice and start to judge them by their knowledge rather than their physical qualities. Promise me, you will respect people and do not fall into their traps again. There are people who want to be more equal than others.”

“So?”

“You might consider me a monster, but, you know, I do not care. Just promise me.”

“I promise. I will.”

“Compliment her. Say something like a dragon guarding treasures… They especially like dragons and treasures.”

“What?”

“This is what you should do to people in the first place. You shouldn’t use people…” Stephen lectured him with careful words and ambiguity, as he was definitely using his customers. “Go.”

The man went back to the table, with Stephen close by. “I am sorry for this ruckus. I shouldn’t have accepted in the first place. I believe you are an excellent being with all the qualities I do not possess. I want to guard you like dragons do with their treasures. You are an important part of our world. I am happy that I met you…”

As everyone was staring at the man, the girl disappeared.

“Sometimes all you need is some encouraging words. No rights, no fight. Just words to carry on. I hope you will understand. What we need in the present world is a purpose, because we are all as equal as we can be. There is no way you are not accepted in a modern society, if you do all you can for yourself and your community.” After saying these words, Stephen left the café for good. He promised never to come back again.
