Kaier stood there stunned. She could not withstand the pressure. All of the nobles looked on, whispering and snickering to each other as if watching a show. Every moment felt like an eternity.
"Well?" Feng said impatiently.
Kaier snapped out of her bewildered state and met Bai's expectant eyes. Before she could respond, Bai openned his mouth first.
"This is pretty bad timing, isn't it?" Bai showed an indifferent smile, but his eyes were lifeless. He already discerned her answer. 'Death has made me impatient.'
"Go. I'll take care of this."
Even though Kaier looked into Bai's eyes, she felt as if he was looking through her. She felt very uncomfortable. Her feet were rooted, unable to take a step and break his gaze.
"Rejected in front of so many. Haha. So humiliating." Feng sneered.
Hearing Feng's voice like needles, Kaier ran out of the restaurant without turning back once.
Feng sighed. "Had you not acted arrogant towards me, at least you would have kept your life. Such a shame."
Nalan stared deeply at Bai. Almost hesitating, she pushed the words she wanted to say out of her mouth. "Are you not regretful? You are going to die a dog's death in this restaurant for a fruitless love... Come, Yue."
Many elders nodded their heads. This youth was too rash. Judging by his appearance, he did not have the backing of a significant figure to offend the Feng clan. It was akin to committing suicide.
She stood up, preparing to leave with her little sister. She did not come here to witness a murder and the pill master did not make an appearance.
"We all do things we desperately wish we could do differently given another chance."
Nalan's footsteps stopped, wanting to hear the rest of his words. She didn't have many regrets, but the ones she held onto burdened her soul and even affected her cultivation.
"…"
As Feng's entourage slowly encircled him, he took off his vest and loosened his tie. "Those regrets just become part of who we are, along with everything else. To spend time trying to change that, well, it's like chasing clouds."
Nalan turned around angrily, finding Bai's gaze locked onto her in the gap between Feng's men. His smile was carefee and indifferent as if she was a child. His words were direct and did not coax her like the elders of her clan.
"Even for that woman? You don't even have much time left to live!" Yue cursed through her teeth. She did not want him to die before she settled her score with him. But she would not offend the Feng clan for personal reasons.

"When you fall in love, the natural thing to do is give yourself to it. That's what I think. It's just a form of sincerity." Bai replied lazily.
"Sincerity? You're just a dead man talking crap!" Yue lashed back.
"You better hope I die today. If I catch you wearing promiscuous clothing again young lady-"
"Argh! So annoying!" Yue screamed, strutting out the restaurant in large strides. Nalan gave him one more glance before following her out.
Provoking two major clans in one night without fear…
This fellow was too interesting!
Feng Zhu was furious. 'Why do you never look at me, Nalan?' he thought. 'Yet this wastrel can? I won't hand you over to this trash!'
"I'll kill you!" A pale yellow energy began to twist around Feng's hands, slowly growing until it encompassed both his arms. The cloth on his arms were shred to pieces and the floor beneath his feet cracked under the domineering pressure of his qi.
"To think I would get to see the Feng clan's Sonic World Breaker in person."
"Pay close attention, he will most likely be the next clan head."
"Hmph! Let's see what this young master is capable of!
Significant figures talked as they pleased with different intentions.
Feng's cultivation slowly rose to the Intermediate Immortal Realm!
"Hmm. It seems he is not inferior to the Ji clan's Yue…"
"What does it matter? Hao clan's Dvitri will definitely win the Hidden Dragon Competition. Nalan also has a chance, but I doubt she will partcipate after last year's incident."
Bai readied himself with his Eight Great Palms and Mortal Submissive Fist. He glanced at the bracelet as it showed no reaction to his impending doom. 'Come on, stupid bracelet. If you have any powers, now would be the time to show it.' Bai was confident he could hold off Feng, but not for long. In the end, he was still a cripple.
Suddenly, a minuscule amount of mysterious energy began to leek out of the bracelet and into his meridians as if responding to him. This energy was impossibly pure. Even the energy on the Sacred Mountain of the Luo sect wouldn't be this pure!
The energy made Bai feel intoxicated. It had been much too long since qi circulated more than a few times through his body. Just then, the energy headed towards his dantian, causing him to hold his breath.
'Is this a dream?' He thought. 'Can this energy heal my dantian' However, as the energy ignored it, a bitter smile creeped up his face.
Just as he was about to make the first move against Feng, the energy attacked the evil qi in his body! The evil qi was immediately dispelled without any resistance as if it was a mere ant. Before Bai could shout madly at his fortune, Feng's fist landed squarely on his chest. Feng seemed to be at the center of a hawk, before it slowly dissipated. The cry of a hawk sounded shortly after. He arrogantly smirked at the young geniuses of the other clans and sects.
"Spirit Projection!?" An elder gaped.
"The Feng Zhu is a true genius, be sure not to offend him in the future."
"It seems the Feng clan will soar even higher... Tch."
Bai's body was blown out of the restaurant and slammed into a brick wall outside. A deep dark hole was formed, leaving only his feet dangling for others to see.
"All that talk and losing in one hit. What trash."
"Perhaps it is not the young man that is weak, but the young master that is too strong…"
"Hmph! I'm not finished with you yet, bastard-" Feng said, only to hear a maniacal laugh slowly form from the depths of the brick wall.
Bai crawled out of the hole, a sinister smile on his face. "With this, I can do it… I'll slaughter them…" His eyes were wide open like a savage beast, looking at the moon and stars and ignoring Feng Zhu.
A black slither of energy still roamed in his body, growing as his negative emotions flared with his newfound power and his mind filled with thoughts of vengeance.
Just as Feng was about to strike Bai, a gold energy began to expand from the center of his body, a figure starting to form.
"I-It can't be… spirit projection!? Was he concealing his strength?"
"The Golden Lion of Xaraki returns… I must report this to the patriarch."
