A curtain of night fell onto Ancient Sun City. The air became cold and Bai could see his breath curling in front of him. He didn't know how much time had gone by as he gazed at the crescent moon behind the translucent clouds.
His body and bike suspended in mid-air, he hovered over the city looking down on the expensive cars beneath him. He gulped.
"This couldn't possibly be the Sky Dragon Inscription. He only did it in five minutes!"
The Sky Dragon Inscription would be used on flying swords made from rare materials for young masters! Most people wouldn't even recognize it if it was in front of their faces. He only deduced it was the Sky Dragon Inscription because of how high the bike could soar.
"That stinking old man."
If this ever got out, he would be hunted down by clans and sects to research it!
'Well, as long as no one knows, it should be fine, right?' Bai thought.
He laughed nervously.
"FUCK!"

"Did you hear that, Father? It sounded like it came from above…"
"How could that be possible? We're riding a S140 Supreme, personally inscribed by a master of the Vermillion Bird Sect. Don't speak nonsense, Helen."
"… okay."
As the vehicle slowly moved through traffic, she poked her body out through the window.
"Helen, what are you doing!?"
Helen carefully scanned the night sky with her dark, purple eyes.
"A man on a bike…"
The middle-aged man sighed. "Helen, don't be preposterous. Get in. We're headed to the Jovial Jelly.
"Jovial Jelly?"
"Yes, its a restaurant for commoners. We wouldn't even be going, if news that Pill Grandmaster Chen frequented this place didn't surface."
"Ah! He's gone!"
"The cold air must be harming your brain, Helen. Get inside."
**************************
"That was too close for comfort." He didn't expect a young miss to poke her head out of incoming traffic!
The bike slowly descended into a deserted alley. "I'm going to be late at this rate..."
He swerved out the alley into the crowded street, shifting between the people like a cat.
"Hey, watch where you're going!"
"Haha. My bad!" Bai shouted back. It would be hard to ride completely unabated because the bike became faster after the inscription!
Neon signs flashed by, turning into long lights. He could still hear the moans from the motels on the street. His face became a tinge red.
'Even she who strays off the right path can be forgiven, for that is why she loves so deeply.' Bai thought, nodding his head three times.
"Deeper, Charles. Deeper!" A feminine voice resounded from the second floor of a nearby motel. "Ahn!"
Bai lightly coughed. 'Isn't that a bit too deep!?'
"Let the whole world know what real love sounds like!" A man with a deep voice responded.
'No one wants to know!' His ears red, he increased his pace towards the Jovial Jelly.
It wasn't long before Bai arrived in front of a small restaurant. He left his bike near the entrance like usual and went through the old wooden door.
"Bai, you're late! Hurry up and change."
"Ah, sorry Kaier. " Bai looked around the restaurant. "There's so many people today!"
"Yeah! There must be an event going on nearby." She whipped her head towards him. Specks of sweat flew and she wiped her forehead with her hand. "Let's make this restaurant the best in Ancient Sun City!" Kaier gave him a thumbs up.
Bai sighed before replying with a genuine smile. If only he could get this girl to look at him as more than a friend.
"… right." The heat within the restaurant made her skin glisten. Her brown hair wrapped around her face beautifully, inciting lust in any man's heart. Two golden eyes pierced into his soul making his heart unsettle. There were many young men who visited this place just to court her. After a few bad encounters, Bai decided to take her spot as a waiter. Business decreased a quite a bit which made her sigh once in a while, but today blew all her worries away!
"Thank you for saving my life back then, Kaier." Bai said softly.
The broken transportation array brought him to the outskirts of her grandfather's farm outside Ancient Sun City. If she didn't take care of him, he would have died in the wilderness. Her grandfather was already gone by the time he arrived and never returned. In the end, she sold the farm and took the rest of the savings to start this restaurant a few years ago.
"Why are you bringing that up now? Customers are waiting." Kaier reprimanded.
"Kaier, the truth is I-" Bai slowly pulled a handful of lillies from his back. He wanted to buy a delicately wrapped bouquet, but he couldn't afford it.
"Look at all these people, my Kaier's business is doing well it seems." A handsome young man appeared behind Bai. His black hair seemed to glow in the light, colorful his tie crisply tucked into his vest.
"Zelix!" Kaier's smile brightened the entire space around her. She slightly blushed, fumbling the plates she was holding. "Wait a second. I'll be right back!" She headed straight into the kitchen. Bai became impassive.
"I'll go get changed." He abruptly turned away before stopping in his steps as Zelix's voice reached his ears.
"Making a move on my girlfriend?" Zelix sneered.
"Yeah." Bai lightly smiled. He couldn't care less about Zelix. The only reason he didn't thrash this guy already was because Kaier hated violent men!
"Shameless pig! If you weren't a close friend of hers, I would kill you already!"
"Try it." Bai's face was apathetic. He crushed the lillies in his hand and stuffed it into his back pocket.
Zelix was at the advanced stage of the Mortal Realm. If it wasn't for Bai's terrifying reputation, he would have already killed him a long time ago! "Just you wait, Bai." Zelix hissed before turning to serve some customers.
Before Kaier returned, Bai already went to change into a vest and tie. His sleeves were rolled up, displaying the tattoo on his forearm. He approached the first table, an elderly man and young woman. He began to open his mouth and an old man interrupted him with a snort.
"Even a thug can work at this establishment! Why would a pill grandmaster visit this shitty place?"
Bai clenched his fist, breaking the pen in his hand.
"My apologies to the Yao Clan Elder." Kaier said swiftly, hoping not to offend this major power in Ancient Sun City.
The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.
"Bai, go clean some tables." Kaier said.
"Okay." Bai calmed himself. "Old bastard!" He muttered.
The young girl's purple eyes gleamed. "The man on the bike…"
*******************************
"Hmph. If this pill grandmaster doesn't show up, this'll be the worst day of my life! First that fake monk, now this phony pill master."
"Yue, you're still angry?" A cold feminine voice said.
"Elder sister, are you going to take his side?" Yue pouted.
"Are you denying that you dress a bit provocatively for a woman of the Ji clan?" Nalan questioned, sipping her cup of green tea.
"Hello ladies, what would you like this wonderful night?" Zelix asked in a greasy manner. His knock-off Tircois watch shone meekly.
He couldn't control his eyes as they scanned the woman's bodies lecherously. He couldn't help but lick his lips. These two were the most beautiful women he had ever seen!
Bai's eyes tracked Zelix's movement as he only waited on young women. "This fucker!" He muttered.
"Screw off!" Yue replied.
"Yue! I apologize for her haughty behavior."
"Don't apologize to this pervert, Nalan! His eyes were locked onto our breasts the entire time!"
"Control yourself, Yue! Don't you see there are other major clans in this restaurant?" Nalan furrowed her brow.
"Well… huh?" In the corner of her eye, a familiar figure looked over in the direction of their table with an intense glare.
Bai quietly cleaned the table, fuming with anger.
Half his hair was slicked back, giving him a refined air. His tattooed arm gave him a slightly dangerous air that made him charismatic.
"Fake monk, what are you doing here?"
Bai ignored her completely, coming right beside Zelix. A dark energy circulated in his meridians, even the evil qi avoided it like a scared child. Short puffs of black air escaped his mouth as he began speaking. He grasped Zelix by the collar, raising his feet off the ground. "If you hurt Kaier, I'll make sure you never walk again, fucker." He attracted the attention of everyone in the restaurant.
Zelix felt a chill run down his spine. 'How can a guy with a broken dantian have so much killing intent?' Before he could respond, a voice interrupted them both.
"Bai, I thought I told you to go clean the tables?" Kaier swiftly appeared again. With all these prestigious guests, she couldn't afford to leave a bad impression of her restaurant!
He reluctantly let go his collar and Zelix fell to the ground on his butt.
Bai looked at Kaier with a complicated expression as she helped Zelix up from the floor.
Anyone could see this was a little romantic affair. They quietly looked on sipping wine and enjoying the show.
A young master clapped slowly, drawing the gaze of Bai. He had women on both sides, flirtaciously whispering in his ears, their hands moving under his shirt. Both his hands were filled with gems. The dark red dress shirt seemed to be drenched in blood giving off a sinister feeling.
Grabbing the waist of Kaier, a beautiful masculine voice echoed throughout the restaurant.
"Is this beauty worth all this commotion? This young master will save you both the trouble. She belongs to me now." Feng laughed heartily, staring lecherously at Kaier's thighs and chest.
"Not bad." He said. "Your fit to be my maidservant. Haha."
Kaier wrapped her arms around her chest, dripping in cold sweat.
"Zelix, help-" Kaier began, but Zelix already made up his mind.
"This junior dares not offend young master Zhu." Zelix cupped his hands and bowed deeply, backing away silently.
Feng Zhu arrogantly sat in his chair as he smirked. "I won't mind my manners then."
Kaier let out a soft cry as tears began rolling down her face. The others in the restaurant quietly observed. This was the fate of the weak in Ancient Sun City. Saving one wouldn't make a difference.
Just as his hand was about to crawl into her blouse, He felt a shoe plastered against his face. He flew! His body slammed into a nearby table as food stained his dove-white dress shirt.
"Young Master Feng!" His compatriots looked on in panic, before giving Bai a closer look. Their master's cultivation wasn't simple, but they couldn't see any qi around Bai!
Bai walked in front of Kaier and crossed his arms. The dark energy circulating in his meridians sped up faster and faster, raring to be released.
"Keep your hands to yourself, shithead." Bai said resolutely. He stood like a tree, unwilling to move.
"Good! Very good!" He leaned on the chair, his hair a mess and blood running down his nose. "You seem to have guts unlike the spineless man before." Feng got up abruptly, recovering from his miserable state. His clothes were wrinkled to the point one wouldn't recognize it was of the Tircois brand. "You're going to offend me, Feng Zhu, for some girl? Even if shes your woman, you're courting death, trash."
Kaier's mouth quickly moved, but before she could say anything, Bai already spoke the truth.
"She's not my woman."
The restaurant slowly became silent. Sacrificing your life for your woman could be considered honorable, but this was being impulsive beyond reason.
"Are you an idiot!?" Yue screamed from behind. "You're throwing your life away for some bitch?"
"It doesn't matter." Feng said, cracking his neck. "You both won't be leaving this restaurant alive."
Bai could feel Kaier trembling behind him.
"Haha. If I live free and die young, won't I leave a good-looking corpse?"
"Your skin is too thick, moron! Don't you realize the situation you're in!?" Yue reprimanded, smacking the table. It broke into pieces onto the floor.
"You're paying for that." Bai said in a serious tone.
"Pfft." The stone-faced Nalan giggled, the sound of her voice entranced the men in the restaurant. Under the scrutiny of so many major clans and an angry Feng Zhu, to say things like these were very interesting.
Feng's jealousy surged! The infamous cold beauty smiling for some trash? He couldn't accept it!
"You're still scared?" Bai's rough hand pinched Kaier's nose, causing her to squeal in pain.
"Ow! B-Bai, what are you-"
"I will always stand by your side, even if the entire Tian Country is against me."
He grabbed the crushed lillies from his back pocket and stuffed it into her arms.
"Will you accept my feelings?"
