‘I-I didn’t want this…whatever brought my piece to life is ruining everything! Those people who talk about cheating and getting through life easily have never lived this reality I am living now’ Sim thought.

Roman stood with the heavy sword in toe . He held the weight of the entire world on the handle in one hand. The blade radiated heat like a firework exploding against the wind. The aura from both metals made the air shimmer, creating the illusion of a bright sun illuminating the scene around it.
Sim noticed the pouch located on his belt filled to the brim with rune stones. Even with the limited amount he had, he knew they could last them until he could find the necessary items to complete his quest. As much as it was annoying for him to think about the runes in such a dire situation, there was no time to waste as he had to finish the fight before someone else showed up.

Holding her hands out as large steel balls dropped to the ground beside her. Some appeared in between her fingers, others floated in the air. Each ball had several tiny runes inscribed into their exterior.

Isla could control the heavy metal balls with her mind smashing them at Jewel Isla could control the heavy metal balls with her mind smashing them at Jewel who was standing nearby. Her attacks were slow but powerful enough to cause harm to a beast. Sim had to remind himself not to stare at the way her body moved when fighting with the massive weapon.
“Fuck!” Jewel howled.

She swung her blade all the while avoiding the barrage of metal spheres aiming at her every minute movement. Sim could see that she wasn’t used to being outmatched in combat with an opponent like herself. She kept trying to strike back, but Isla was constantly blocking each of her blows and retaliating in retaliation. Every time she managed to land a hit, it only caused more confusion for Jewel.
“Unified Control!” Isla yelled.

Roman had to dodge [Awakened spirit of Lily.] Her attacks were brutal slamming into the fragile flooring beneath the four. She kept her eyes set on the group watching as they tried to move away from her. She continued to attack, knocking the floor out from underneath her so she could jump over and grab the group with her long arms. Roman took a quick glance at the floor then at Isla.
Sim felt useless and afraid as he watched Isla and Roman tear it up out there. His heart beat fast as he looked around him. Everything had fallen apart. The room had begun to shift as the floors began to tremble. There was so much debris scattered across the room. Sim felt the walls shaking.
‘It’s coming… this is the moment where all of this ends…. Where we become part of the debris… the debris… pieces of everything we ever knew and loved, gone…. We will lose everything’ Sim thought in panic.
“Unified Control!” Isla howled.

The chaos of dodging Isla’s psychic driven metal balls made it difficult for Roman to gain footing as Jewel charged with her blade at the pair as Isla became determined to take advantage of her disadvantage.
“I gotta do something…” Sim muttered.
He watched the three striving to beat the other. They pushed each other further into the rubble. Their feet slipping in the unstable surface. He needed to make a difference. He wanted to show them the same level of respect they gave him. The ground shook violently under him causing him to fall back. He was losing balance. His vision grew dimmer.

Sim drew his weapon up trying to aim for Jewel allowing a light beam explode straight at the crimson witch. It exploded on impact and sent Jewel flying off her feet. Her body hit the wall with tremendous force, shattering the stone. Her body slid down the wall, sliding off the top of the staircase and into the rubble below.
“Sim, what the hell did you do that for?!” Isla scolded.
“I-I wish I knew!” He laughed nervously.
They could hear people waking up below them as Jewel was angry cursing Her eyes glowed red as she prepared her next attack. The entire floor started to crack under immense pressure as cracks formed beneath her feet. Sim watched as she walked towards him. Her footsteps echoed around the area. Sim closed his eyes bracing for the worst, for the inevitable.
“Jewel, fancy seeing you here,” A familiar voice chimed.
Gawking down through the massive hole beneath them a man dressed in an olive green military suit appeared. His brown curly hair was parted perfectly to the side. His brown eyes shone brilliantly as he smirked at Jewel’s rage and fury. His eyes slowly trailed up, taking notice of the rest of her comrades. He chuckled, looking at Jewel as if she had grown three heads.
“Kavan…” Jewel growled.
He pushed his hair back, letting his golden earring hang limply over his left shoulder as he spoke
.
“Well, well… what do we have here?” Kavan said in amusement.
“I was just about to leave,” Jewel explained.
Steel metal balls slammed down in front of them sending the group scattering. Bellamy raised his arm and summoned his spear to catch the ball in his palm. With one swift movement, he hurled the ball through the air into Jewel’s stomach. She stumbled back unable to block it and fell to the ground coughing as blood dribbled from her mouth.
“Lily, I didn’t expect to see this early,” Kavan snickered.
“If I don’t protect these dimwits then we are done for,” Isla stated.
“Hey, Roman!” Kavan shouted.
Above Sim and Roman waved awkwardly as they were still recovering from the shock of seeing the man before them.
“So it's true...you've finally decided to join us..” Kavan said with a chuckle.
With each passing second, the tension grew tighter with each passing second. If they continued this any longer they wouldn’t be able to hold out or so Sim thought.
“Everyone knows you are just eye candy and hardly anything worth our time!” Isla laughed.
“You will regret saying that!” Jewel shouted angrily.
“Brother, this is Captain of the Nightlanders Guild!” Isla declared proudly.
Kavan carried his spear proudly as he smiled. His armor gleamed under the light. His black cloak fluttered slightly with the breeze. His hair flowed as the wind blew through.
He felt embarrassed thinking about it as he was always seen as the “good boy” of the guild, but now he realized it wasn’t just him that portrayed the role he played in their lives. All of the played a part in giving him confidence.
“Sim, I have to talk to you about the rune stones later,” Roman noted.
“Oh?” Sim responded curiously.
“I don’t think light is a good one for you,” He stated.
His muscles felt sore as the stone dropped to the floor. He couldn’t even stand up without feeling tired and weak. His body felt like lead. Even though Sim wasn't injured from his battle with Isla, his body still felt weak. He felt like he had been hit by a train or worse... by a car. His limbs felt heavier as his breathing started to go ragged. Sim felt like throwing up but he held it back.
“I can tell you probably feel like shit!” Kavan laughed.
“It’s his first time using the runes!” Isla snickered.
“But you have never used those huge metal balls and you are laughing at me?!” Sim sighed.
“You forget she is now the avatar for Lily hence she is carrying all of who she is with her!” Roman informed.
Sim felt utterly annoyed that both Roman and Isla were taking pleasure in humiliating him again. He clenched his fists tightly.
“How about a friendly sparring match then?” Kavan smirked.
“Hell no!” Sim shouted.
“You won’t get stronger being childish,” He smiled.
The world was slowly shaping. No matter how hard he fought it was becoming harder and harder to stop it he had to use the runes to keep himself going.
“You are right,” Sim thought.
