Neither setting nor rising

"How many died princess…" Raphael asked tiredly while trying to ignore his fellow students crying about their grief and pain. "Fifty eight… two teachers, four police, and one guard are also dead…" Princess replied, sitting with a hunched back while tiredly holding a notepad. "Which teachers? Did any of our classmates die?" Raphael inquired of his frustrated classmate. "Can I answer you later Rapha? I- I can't think straight at the moment." Princess replied while giving Raphael a look that signaled for him to fuck off. Blinking a few times to himself, Raphael then got the signal, however late he may have been in receiving it, he backed off with a soft apology and left the clearly grieving woman. Wholeheartedly cutting off all senses from seeing the effects of the monster, Raphael with his chins up. Walked with a brisk pace to where his other classmates could be staying.

While walking Raphael, recognized by student's who saw his exploits, gave him praise. But with a straight face, Raphael only nodded at these as a sign of acknowledgement, his posture slightly waning from all that surrounded him. With his gaze waning from dodging the dozens of students being tended to by other students. Walking through the crowd of students that at times thanked him, gave Raphael a sense of a pyrrhic victory. However as he saw his other classmates and friends in a safe condition, Raphael's mood came to a change, signified by a modest smile forming. "Eyy!! Glad to see you all alive! Especially you babe." Raphael announced as he pointed and signaled at Ian with a toothy grin. Seeing his antics, a few of his energetic classmates chuckled and returned the banter. "Rapha! You crazy fuck! Nice stuff on saving us all." Sean returned the mannerisms while respectfully and disrespectfully throwing a water bottle at Raphael. "It's nice to see you good Raf, thank you really." Ian said with a sincere smile on his face.

With the liveliness returning to the once depressed atmosphere among the group of classmates. Raphael decided to leave also pass through them as he greeted those he knew along the way. After seeing all his classmates fine and surviving the catastrophic event. Raphael moved on through with a better outlook and a smile as he went to a group of student council members tending to the adults or badly affected students. There he found the still unconscious Sir Reggie being tended to, on the side were school faculty members trying to help the wounded or carrying medical supplies around. Among those he spotted, two familiar girls taking care of someone, the school clinic staff, with her were two familiar faces holding a young man down, seeing them have issues at trying to fix up the student, Raphael moved up to them. "Here let me help sir Noli, sir Noni if you can excuse me for a sec." Raphael said as he kneeled by the young man flaying wildly. Holding his hands over the young man, a transparent film then slowly formed over the young man's upper body. Stopping his movements but enabling him to have enough room in his torso to breathe comfortably.

After a few quiet seconds of the now invisible force holding the student down. Sir Noli with amazement looked at Raphael. "I don't know what you did but that really helped Raphael." Sir Noli said with astoundment at the magical feat performed by Raphael. Amazed and still confused at how he did it, Raphael took out his hand out. Exactly as his hands left the torso of the student, It breaks when I leave contact? How does this crap really work? an inaudible crack sounded out from the thin transparent plate that held the student down. Breaking into pieces, and freeing the student again. Surprised, Raphael put his hand on the students chest once more, now firmly holding down. Seeing and losing the opportunity to free himself from the pain, the flailing student, in desperation. With his free arms wildly flayed with a limited movement, grabbing Raphael's loose clothing or anything.

Seeing this, Sir Noli and Noni quickly took hold of the students arms and held it down. "Easy easy just calm down, we're gonna treat you, just calm down, it'll be over in a sec. Deep breaths deep breaths." Sir Noni assured while holding down the students hand and legs. Giving the nurse an opportunity to fill and cover up the wound, and raised the legs up to keep the blood focused on the core. "Haaa… you're good now, just calm down, and stay put so you won't lose more blood… Sirs you can let him go, and bring me a chair or something to keep his legs up." Said the nurse tiredly while wiping her hands on her shirt. Hearing this, the two teachers slowly let go of the now tired student. "You can let go now Raph." Said Sir Noli, while putting a bundle up clothes beneath the students head, making sure to make him comfortable as best he could. Seeing this, Raphael, subconsciously turned off the small shield that held the student down. What the… My hand didn't even leave contact and it disappeared on it's own, this is getting interesting real quick. Surprised and excited at the prospect of this new discovery, Raphael quickly got up and helped Sir Noni to get on his feet. "Sirs, do you need any more help?" He asked.

"Not at the moment, right now we're just giving first aid to those who need it. Just rest easy for now Raphael, you deserved it, go over there to Lyndsay and Marlene, stay with them for now and wait for further announcements." To which Sir Noli replied as he put a small stool below the raised leg of the now sleeping student. Hearing this he nodded both at Sir Noni and Sir Noli as a goodbye and walked over to his two classmates sitting on a bench while observing those either sleeping or moaning. "Eyy! How are you two doing?! You guys look roughed up huh…" Raphael energetically greeted and quipped at the two's haggard look. Hearing this the two abruptly looked at Raphael, one showing a small smile the other a frown. "Well sorry, we're just humans after all, fucking asshole." Marlene complained and tidied up her hair. Well looks like I stepped in a landmine that's for fucking sure. Raphael thought, as he showed a face that showed someone did something wrong. "Don't mind her, we're just tired that's all. Thank you by the way, for killing that monster." Lyndsay softly said to the blank face of Raphael.

With a couple blinks, the words that came out of Lyndsay finally registered. Realizing he was just standing dumbly for a couple sec, Raphael quickly put up smile. "Ahh Haha. Don't mind it! I didn’t do crap, it was those officers, the guards, along with Rise and Daitch that actually did stuff." Raphael said as he put up his hands, like waving his innocence. "Stop showing such fake humility Raph, if it weren't for you Daitch and Rise wouldn't have moved either." Lyndsay replied, asserting Raphael's bravery.

Blanking out for a sec, Raphael accepted the compliment with a nod. "Speaking of those two, do you know where they are? And also can you tell me how bad our situation really is?"

In contemplation, Lyndsay with a sigh took out her phone and showed it to Raphael. "Princess didn't tell you? Well here, some little below sixty students died, most of them from the ABM strand, only one survivor in a single section. The police escorts, two teachers from the college department. And it was the guard Jerry, I think that died, and over half are wounded. The government pretty much told us to fend for ourselves, so it would be great if you could have people ride in your car to lessen the burden." Lyndsay said with a sigh at their current condition.

"For those two, their just around here. Rise helped the others get supplies to help us, while Daitch is being treated by Maxine over there." Marlene suddenly added while pointing at a tree surrounded by bushes a bit far out.

Now fully understanding their current situation, decided to leave the two for now. "Gotcha, if you guys want a ride to skip out on the crowded buses, just let me know. Invite princess and ally to, I'll go see if I can convince Sir Paule or Sir Noni to let us bring the bodies of those fallen, it's the least we can do to those who died." Raphael said as he left the two alone.

Tracing his steps back, Raphael saw more activity where the clinic staff and his teachers were. This time he noticed his 4 teachers having a discussion among themselves, with the government officials, away from other school staff, or students. Seeing this development, Raphael quietly got behind Sir Noli. "Sir, can I talk to sir Noni and Sir Paule for a quick second?" Raphael quietly whispered.

Not surprised of his student sneaking up on him, Sir Noli glanced at him and quietly replied. "Why? We're in a deep discussion right now in what to do after, if it's nothing important don't pursue it Rap."

Not knowing if it was best to tell Sir Noli, Raphael hesitated for a second whether to let Sir Noli in his idea. If I tell Sir Noli, he might stop me, but there's also a chance that I can convince him to side with me. After a weighing out the pros and cons, Raphael decided to gamble. "Well Sir I want to convince them to bring those that died with us, it's the least we could do. The last thing we want is another monster like that piece of shit, to bastardize the fallen."

Pausing a bit from the heartfelt grievances of a student. It was Sir Nolis' time to contemplate, after several seconds of no response, Raphael nearly lost hope thinking his teacher ignored him. "What you said is understandable, but there won't be enough space for the wounded and other students if we did that." Sir Noli pointed out.

Ecstatic at what he heard, and that Sir Noli didn't outright deny his suggestion. "There's storage area by the buses on the side sir, it's not the best but it's better to have them there and take them with us. Instead of letting them out in the environment like they are now. Or we can have those with cars carry people, I'm willing and I'm sure everyone is willing to help." Raphael enthusiastically replied, but made sure to not show it. To not betray the serious atmosphere

Hearing that his student thought of it deeply, Sir Noli decided to budge and entertain the idea. "It's good you had a plan before suggesting this, right now they're arguing about where we should head to. After this, we'll talk about this with Sir Paule, and Sir Noni. And don't worry I'll support you." Sir Noli assured as he brought his attention in the meeting again.

Seeing the chance of succeeding, Raphael left the adults alone and went a distance away. Observing them, waiting for any developments, and waiting for him to be called by Sir Noli. Which came sooner than he expected, exactly with his arrival, Sir Noli brought up the subject with the rest of the surviving teachers and officials. Crediting Raphael for it and stating his reasons and solutions to achieve it. With the sound reasoning and argument Sir Noli gave, tying up loose ends that Raphael might have missed. Nearly everyone agreed, after a few minutes of fleshing out the details and coordinating everyone. The meeting ended on a good note leaving everyone satisfied and in high spirits now with a clear goal after such a calamity. "That's it correct? We'll head to the lower area shelters, as they're closer to a military base. And we'll have everyone carry those that died to the storage of the buses, with utmost respect. After we have every wounded and dead tucked in we'll be able to leave. God bless everyone, that's all." Sir Noni announced, resulting everyone to disperse and do their part to quickly leave the campus that monsters could enter in any second.
