"Extremely sorry! Extremely sorry! Extremely sorry…" I repeated to her while bowing to her.

This skill has come in handy several times in my life. After my arguments with Kaori, I came to understand that it's always productive to take all accusations and just apologize immediately. This really saves a lot of time for both of us as I know that she is not going to back down soon and I am not as energetic as her to keep arguing with her.

But, as usual, Kana-san brushed off my pleas and launched into her next set of commands. "Now listen, just park yourself here until evening. Don't go wandering off. If anyone comes in, tell them you're under the weather and to talk to me. In the evening, I'll pick you up; we have to go somewhere far from the city. So, get ready!"

"A long ride?" I asked, a hint of excitement in my voice.

"Forget your budget fantasies and stay in your lane."

As she started to leave the cabin, I quickly interrupted, "Hey, Kana-san, I need permission. Can I call Kaori-san? It's been a whole day since I last talked to her. It's really urgent."

"In the office?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.

I nodded eagerly, like a puppy hoping for a walk in the park.

"Go ahead and do your thing in the office, just make sure nobody catches you chatting with her and starts wondering if you're up to something shady."

And then she went away.

I took out my phone and it instantly dialed Kaori's number.

After a few rings, she picked up the call.

"Hello? Hello? Kaori."

There was silence. No response came from her side.

"Hello? Kaori?"

"Hello, Adachi-san, how are you? Are you doing well? Have you eaten anything?"

There was an uneasiness in her voice. She spoke lightly but her words were coming out hastily. Like how much I cared for her, she cares about the same about me.

"Oh my dear god! Please be at ease. I am doing well. Yes, I have also eaten some cheese sandwiches and bread and toast."

As I was naming whatever food items that came to my mind, my mouth was drooling with saliva. I have to eat something right now!

I further continued, "Now leave me and tell me about you. How are you doing?"

"Now, I am feeling somewhat relieved! I was trying to call you yesterday so much! But you never answered. You don't know how scared I was. I didn't even have any contacts with your company nor with Kana-san."

"Oh! So sorry! I forgot my phone here in the office. I asked Kana-san to tell you but I don't know if she did it or not?"

"Yeah, Kana-san contacted me at night. She told me about you and delivered your message to me. So, be thankful to her. Treat her nicely, Adachi-san. She is such a nice lady."

I assured that I always treat everyone with respect.

After that we talked for a few more minutes before starting to run out of topics which made me understand some of the problems of these long-distance relationships.

One problem which I came across just now was that there's a disconnect in our conversations. We have been dating for many years. But in all these years, we rarely ever talked on the phone for more than an hour. I mean there's only a limited amount of topics which you can touch when being so far away. And that's why your conversations start to become lifeless until it completely dies out.

And a relationship with no communication is bound to fail!

Although I am not really thinking much about this since I am staying here for more than a few months.

I am not greedy. Once I get enough money, and Akira comes back- I will go back and live peacefully with Kaori. Maybe then I should start some business or start investing?

Well that's a matter of the future so I should calm myself a little right now.

Soon after my little chat with Kaori, I started to feel immensely irritated and the reason was evidently clear- My Hungry stomach wanting something to eat!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Give me food!!

At this rate I will go insane. But since I couldn't leave this place, my options were very limited. I also tried calling Kana-san but she wasn't picking up.

Furiously, I walked around the cabin, occasionally drinking some water from the mineral water bottles present on the table.

My exercise continued for another half-a-hour later, when I noticed two employees passing through the corridor. Through the transparent door of the cabin, I caught a slight glimpse of them- a human male and a human female.

I immediately called them when they both nervously entered the cabin while giving a casual greeting. By this time, I placed myself on the chair, calmed my drooling mouth, tensed brain and tired body trying to act like a boss.

Now although I was ready to interact with them, I suddenly became confused as to how I should start the interaction. I don't know their names, their positions or even their closeness with Akira. Not knowing even an ounce of info, what should I say? Where should I start?

'Give me some food.' Doesn't sound nice.

'I want food.' Hmm.. That too doesn't sound good.

As I was thinking or rather overthinking about this situation, the woman interjected, "Hello sir, Do you need anything?"

And she stood there confidently while the man was trembling in fear, his eyes downcasted as if he was hanging in a death valley.

Hey man! Don't be so scared. I am a man just like you and not an executioner. Although I must say I am really liking this smell of fear from you Hahahahah…

Just kidding.

Taking my time, bosses can take whatever time only employees have to be fast, I replied, "Oh yes! I wanted you to do some very important tasks for you. It's a very important task, so be careful."

They both attentively looked at me with utter seriousness making me even more nervous that I already was. I continued, "Hey, you both! Don't stare like that. It's making me nervous."

Shocked and flabbergasted, they both apologized to me.

"So, listen what I was saying was that-"

Just when I was about to talk, someone opened the door and entered the cabin. My focus immediately shifted to that.

And there was no other Kana-san, suspiciously looking at me. But unlike always, she was right now holding a tray with food in it.

She then closed the door while holding the tray in the other hand. Sticking the sweet crafted smile to her face, she came forward, placed the food on the table and in a gentle voice said, "Akira-sama, Here's your food."

She then turned to those and asked them what they were doing there.

The girl replied, "Good morning, ma'am. Sir called us. He was giving us some important tasks until you just came."

Hey- Don't tell her! She will kill me.

I could already feel Kana-san's rage leaking from her eyes.

Ahhhhhh- Her eyes make me feel dizzy. Somebody, Somebody call a doctor for me. I am dying!!

Kana-san then told them, "It's okay now. I have come. You two can go now."

"Is it okay sir?" She asked me

"Right sir?" Kana-san too asked me to let them go, but she sounded more like a command than a request.

Forced by the chains of these situations, I said, "A.. aaa. Yes, you can go. Kana is here. She will handle the task."

"Then please excuse us sir. Have a good day sir. Have a good day ma'am."

Then they both went away.

As soon as they both went, I quickly turned my eyes to the ground trying to avoid any eye-contact, trying to come up with an excuse.

Damn! At this rate I will become bald in a week.

This work is very stressful.

"Kana-san.. I am going to the washroom for a second.. Please excuse me."

I quickly tried to sneak, but Kana-san grabbed me by my shirt and threw me back to the chair, and grabbed my shirt very tightly.

"What happened to Kana-san? Why are we being so intimate right now? Sorry, but I am already dating someone."

"My bad! I didn't know that. Don't be scared, boy. I only want a few sweet moments with you. Just to chat with you."

"Well, we can do it without the use of such force right?"

"Just tell me what are you trying to do right now?

"Talk to you."

"No, the thing before that."

"Go to the washroom to pee."

"Don't anger me more you damn pig. For what reason you called those two. Why do you always try to create problems? Can't you just simply sit here"

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh! Scary! I want to cry right now!
