I made my choice after hearing of how powerful The Undead Lord Shade, was with magic I'm certain that I could also become a great magus it would suit me the most since I don't want to swing around a heavy sword like an idiot.

Plus I had a fear of needles ever since I was a child when I imagine getting hit by a sword it would be like getting stabbed by an oversized needle why should I risk hurting myself in combat when I could use a summon instead to tank the hits.

First plan of action is asking this old guy where I could learn magic and finding a way to make some money wearing these clothes will only draw attention I don't really need.

“After hearing the tale of the great war and how powerful Shade was how would I go about learning magic?”

“Hm interested in being a Spell Caster eh well I won't stop you”

“You have two options you could either join the mages guild and test yourself to see if you have the ability to use magic or bind an Elemental Spirit to yourself”

“What exactly is an Elemental Spirit if I may ask?”

“Spirits are mostly used by Shaman's since they're the primary source of all Shaman's powers you see most Shaman's enter contracts with a spirit either by the spirit willingly choosing to or the caster overpowering the spirit resulting with the spirit having no choice but to follow the caster commands.”

“Therefore even if you aren't talented in magic you can still become one by defeating a spirit in battle yet I would be careful since if you bind an evil spirit to yourself you may die or go insane.”

“I would advise against this practice since it is looked down upon by the holy church and all elven kingdoms.”

Binding myself to a spirit huh well from what I can tell it sucks I all ready have two in my head constantly having nightmares I would prefer not to get a third.

Speaking of spirits I wonder why they have been so quiet these days could it have something to do with this summoning I'll think over this later for now I'll get as much information I can.

“In this world how exactly would I make money?”

“You can earn copper silver and gold coins through joining the adventures guild doing quests for money or joining the army of a kingdom”

“My personal choice getting a job as a blacksmith maybe an enchanter you could even get rich off a dungeon if you're strong enough to defeat the monsters inside”

Hmm dungeons eh it'll be a good training ground plus getting rich on the side isn't bad either might as well ask him about guilds.

“What are guilds?”

“Guilds are formed by a group of people who share the same goal they help each other out to achieve what one single person cannot do by himself.”

Even if I don't have talent to be a Magus In order to join the Mages guild it won't stop me from joining the adventures guild as a backup plan.

“Where could I find a map exactly?”

The old man thought about it for a bit then said.

“If you head north to the guardsman post you can get your first one for free if you lose it then you'll have to pay a fee for the second map.”

“Thanks for answering my questions old man I'll be heading to the Mages guild now”

Before I left he said something that puzzled me.

“I wish to aid you decadent of Proserpina and Aidoneus in your quest accept this”

The old man reached into his pocket and handled me a giant snow white egg with black markings around it it gave me a strange feeling like I saw it before yet I couldn't pinpoint where.

“Why are you giving me an egg? Also what did you mean by decadent?”

The old man with platinum blonde hair that has lost it's golden shine said.

“You'll find out soon Dark Hero for now goodbye.”

A bright light flashed when it cleared the old man disappeared without a trace.

How did he know I was a hero? Also what did he mean by Dark Hero? Now I'm even more confused just when I started to learn more information about my situation the puzzle becomes even bigger.

No point sitting here I might as well take that egg with me and head over to the mages guild to see if I have the ability to use magic.

20 Minutes Later

I knew I should've gotten the map instead of heading here first would've saved me a lot of time then again no use In crying over spilled milk what's done is done.

When I entered the mages guild I saw what I assume to be elves with angelic features and pointy ears besides them there were a couple of demi-humans with normal human features other than their weird hair or eye colors sometimes both.

The colors of the walls in the room were painted in gold and blue while the dining tables were long and looked it it could fit 15 people per table.

The atmosphere became gloomy when I entered the room most of the elves and demi-humans stopped what they were doing and started staring at me they started to whisper to each other.

“Tsk tsk how dare a meat head human step foot into the mages guild a commoner at that”

“I doubt he has the ability to use magic if he does novice at best.”

“What's with the egg that guy's holding? It looks strange.”

“Who cares he's probably a lowly farmer.”

Bunch of arrogant elves I'll show them how powerful of a magus I'm for now I must take my magic test to my surprise instead of finding a beautiful nee-chan what awaited me was a cold dark brown haired demi-human bishounen out of some manga with poisonous green eyes wearing glasses. After letting out my rage for 5 minutes I turned towards the brown haired man he had a displeased look on his face.

“I would like to join the Mages guild.”

'The brown haired man simply cleaned his glasses off turned towards me and said.

“Follow me.”

After going through 5 doors we reached out destination it was filled with lots of art that was stunning to the eyes what caught my attention the most was the giant crystal in the middle of the room.

The brown haired man coldly said.

“Put your hands onto the crystal it'll see if you have the ability to use magic or not”

As told I went closer to the crystal set my hand onto it and after a few seconds it started growing a bright red/orange It kept getting brighter and hotter when I turned towards the green eyed boy his face was of fear and surprise.

“..Impossible”
