The Age of Despair Understanding
Since departing from Bryalshire Palace I decided on gathering some information about this world to get a clear understanding of the events that have taken place.
I learned from a mysterious looking old man in black that there exist 6 races Demi-Humans, Humans, Demons, Elves, Dwarfs, Beastmen, Dragonics, Half Giants, when I asked him what happened to full dragons and giants he laughed and said “Ha I haven't saw any of them since The Age of Despair.”
When I asked him to explain he said there was a war that happened 150 years ago where the Allied Forces of Edhest battled the combined armies of the Demon King and Undead Lord, known collectively as The Age of Despair, a conflict that raged over all the continents.

In the beginning of the war the arrogant elves attacked the Undead first with the just cause of serving their goddess by getting rid of unnatural beings with their powerful holy magic the elves had no chance of being defeated but that wasn't the case at all.
Instead they had an overwhelming defeat time and time again into the elves enlisted the help of the humans why would the humans help the elves you may think when the elves think themselves superior to the humans simple they were promised magic items gold and land in exchange for their services humans have no end to their greed.
With the human race numbers the undead had no chance of victory after losing their king they were hunted for sport on the brink of extension into their savior appeared the Undead Lord Shade with his powerful magic he was able to prolong their deaths for another month but that was all the time he needed to convince the Demon King to ally with him.
With the combined might of the Demon King's Army and the Magic Of the Undead Lord they were an unstoppable force they were able to push back the elves and humans helping the undead reclaim their lands and the Demon King Gaining useful allies and deadly enemies.
The other races 4 races paid the Upstart Demon King and Undead Lord no mind into on that dark day the Undead Lord was able to use his magic to corrupt the Dragon Emperor Alan turning him into an undead dragon under their control luckily for the dragons before the whole kingdom was turn into mindless zombies some of the dragons were out on missions or away from the palace to escape their fate.

The remaining few went to the Demi-Humans who's king was a close friend of the Dragon Emperor with his help they sent messages to all the other Rulers and created an allied force to stand against the undead and demons once and for all.
Yet Even with the combined power of all the races the Demon King and Undead Lord's military strength was too powerful therefore the Giants were the first to fall to corruption out of the Allied forces.
The Allied forces were being beat every battle the people were outraged angry and scared at the same time due to this a Hero was born Alexander The Chosen he who came from another world picked by the gods themselves with their blessings he was able to slay all enemies in his path leading the allied forces to victory.

Post war (Note this is a year after the war not the current time line)
The Dragons went on to rebuilding their race by mating with the Demi-Humans creating humanoid Draconic warriors and Mages making an even stronger kingdom than before with their allies. (example stronger demi-human blood [img]http://i.imgur.com/91Z7WEl.png[/img] stronger dragon blood

The Beastmen still live free in the wild.
The Elves and Dwarfs are still at each others throats and the Humans are allied with all the races expect demon they still can't get over their defeat.
The Undead mostly lurk in caves and dungeons while The Demons rule the deserts preferring to stick to themselves.
