----------------------------------------
Demon Brawler I:
A class sharing many similarities with [Pugilist], but with a demonic spin. This class is about pure strength, cloaking fists in hellfire and beating down your opponent with little more technique than before. Although the class is simple at the beginning, true masters will be able to redirect force from a [Giant Brute] as easily as they can catch a [Flash Fighter].

Bodyguard I:
A class devoted to the protection of an individual. This class specializes heavily in defending one vip, and no one else. With perks that allow one to always be near their vip of choice, along with a balanced stat spread, the [Bodyguard] is truly the best protector out there.

Both classes had 14 points of stat growth, but a class dedicated to keeping Abe alive sounded a hell of a lot better than increased punching power, pun intended. Abe decided to go with bodyguard, and selected it for the final confirmation.

Demon Fiend(Fred)

New Perk:Guardians Resolve
Gain a small (2.5%) passive boost to all stats. Gain a larger increase (5% + 1/10 of trainer's charisma value as a percentage) when directly defending your trainer.
----------------------------------------
Abe whistled at the perk, not because of current power, but what it could grow into. As Abe's charisma, his class's main stat, grew more, the bonus Fred got when protecting him would increase. This was already great news, but Fred wasn't Abe's only monster.

Dire Wolf(Wolfie)
Lvl 8
Hp:290

Roles Available:
Assassin
Pack Hunter
Tracker
Mount
Skirmisher

With a glance, Abe immediately zeroed in on his choice, although he would check any other interesting ones, in his heart the decision was made. Assassin was worth considering, but probably out. Wolfie didn't have a "pack" so that was probably out too. Tracker wasn't needed at that time, but skirmisher sounded interesting.
----------------------------------------
Mount I
A class for rideable monsters. While it may seem basic, a [Mount]'s perks can wildly change how a battle is decided. From riding through rifts in space for faster travel, to boosting allied mounts for a charge, a [Mount] is the most important monster a trainer can have, next to a [Bodyguard].

'Well one is obviously better than the other, but there's no point if Wolfie can't be in my party.'
Decision made, Abe selected [Mount] and awaited Wolfie's first perk with anticipation, He was not disappointed.

New Perk:Saddle Bags
Gain a small dimensional storage space to store a riders belongings, scales with size, class level, and strength.
----------------------------------------
Smiling as he read the message, Abe grabbed his bags and rushed at Wolfie. Activating the perk was easy, and he shoved everything into slots provided in a holographic screen in front of him. After getting everything put away, Abe took Fred and Wolfie to go check on his car, only to find a smoking wreck.
"Ah shit, that was totally you Fred, wasn't it?"
Fred wouldn't make eye contact. Abe had his answer. Moving on, Abe attempted to hop on Wolfie, and struggled. Eventually making it up there, Abe called Fred back into his tattoo and set off.
"Wolfie, get us to higher ground so I can get a good look around."
Not three seconds later, Abe was screaming and holding onto Wolfie for his life. It seemed the quickest way to get the highest was for Wolfie to just jump and climb a nearby apartment complex. When Wolfie stopped, Abe caught his breath and looked around, seeing smoke and flames all over. Abe lived near the outskirts of his city, being somewhat anti-social and preferring to keep his distance when able. So when Abe saw the utter destruction of the inner city, he was sure that his social awkwardness had saved his life.
Everything after half a mile into the city was destroyed. Rubble and flames, bodies and blood, everywhere. It seemed to Abe that the stronger monsters had chosen the areas with higher populations. Guns did not seem to be enough, but looking at the destruction, Abe wasn't sure if a missile would've been enough. And then, he saw it. He decided a nuke might not have been enough.
Hundreds, thousands of fiends, each at least twice the size of Fred. And in the middle? What looked like their king. It was a fiend, in the loosest sense. Where Fred was about 6'7", the stronger ones in the middle were 14 ft tall. Where they were 14 ft, their king was 30 ft. The massive fiend wasn't red like the rest of them, but a deep purple with black lines. He had a shattered crown of obsidian on his head and carried a sleek black ivory sword. His eyes screamed not only intelligence, but willful cruelty.
Thankfully, as terrifying as he was, the king was no eagle and didn't spot Abe or Wolfie. Abe decided to leave while he could, and promptly turned into the other direction, urging Wolfie to go as fast as possible. Abe decided that while yes, regrouping with the military might be nice, avoiding big cities was probably the safest bet, especially if the king was "weak" enough to be spared on a small city of 10,000.
So, without any real plans, Abe and Wolfie rode off into the forest to get away from the terrifying mess that used to be Abe's home city. Abe, thinking being left behind in levels would be a very bad idea, instructed Wolfie to look for weaker monsters once they got far enough away from the city, and the fiends, and also ordered Wolfie to protect and attempt to wake him if they were attacked, just in case. Then he fell asleep.
----------------------------------------
He laughed. He laughed and laughed and cried in joy. This was the best birthday present he could've asked for. Power. The power to cull those undeserving. The gift of magic and of slaughter. As he watched the city around him burn, heard the cries of those too weak to stand up, too weak to fight, Jax couldn't have been happier. He relished it, the pain of the weak. Because he was strong. When he saw the words of the system, he knew what a beautiful gift it could be, in his hands.
Jax was not a bad man, no, his morals were just flexible and quick to change. He wasn't killing innocents, just the people who refused to use this great gift to grow strong. Just the weak of heart and of character, who would rather hide behind their walls while the strong fought to survive. He wouldn't kill the ones who wanted to improve, but the lazy ones? The ones content to let others fight their battles? The ones who "just want to be normal"? They would have died eventually, he was just speeding things up.
