I am a writer. 

I guess that much should be obvious from the title. But I am a writer who hasn't written anything substantial in a long, long while. Life does such a great job of getting in the way of things. So I'm creating this collection of shorts to try and force myself back into the mindset of writing creatively. I think this will be a good way to collect the random things I feel the urge to write. But because of that, I can't offer consistency in my writing. One piece might lean toward fantasy, while another might fall into the realm of creative non-fiction.

I just really want to write again. And since I am horrible at motivating myself to write, perhaps having an audience—or the illusion of one— will motivate me to write consistently. I always did perform better when I had to perform under the expectations of others. And if more people stop by and read, the more motivated I'll become! Plus, writing on RoyalRoad is free, so why not take the plunge?
