Pure Chaos
"Look over there!" Someone in the crowd shouted.
Helga and Isaac, along with everyone else in the neighbourhood looked down at the track coming from the town. It was a group of four people, including the tall bulky man who sold Isaac fruits.
"What the hell is going on?" A shivering old man asked.
"It's Government officials. They're saying the town has been harbouring a criminal.."
Some people gasped and a few just looked nervous. Isaac looked over at his mother and saw a dark look on her face.
"Everyone, there's a sailing ship to the west of the forest behind us. We can go there and we'll all be able to escape." a man said.
The group of fourteen immediately began running there, their footsteps squelching in the wet mud below their feet. It started raining even more heavily, the sky beginning to rumble.
"Maybe the fire in town will go out..." Isaac thought.
"Quickly, I saw them coming up the hill to the neighbourhood." the tall bulky man said.
They eventually reached the sailing boat which was tied to a post near the shore. People clambered in while the tall man untied the rope. Isaac and Helga were about to go in but were stopped by a shout from beyond the trees.
"Stop right there!" A voice shouted.
A tall man wearing a general overcoat, a hat and wielding an unsheathed rapier exited the trees with a group of Government soldiers.
"That's a general from the Government..." Helga stuttered.
Isaac stepped back a bit terrified for his life, while also tearing up a little.

A few of the soldiers ran forward with their weapons. The tall bulky man stepped forward and beat them all with his fists alone. The people in the boat were stunned along with Helga and Isaac. How could someone be so powerful? Isaac clenched the dagger in his hands, feeling more confident.
The general slowly walked forward smiling.
He lunged forward at high speeds and grabbed Helga.
"I couldn't even see him move."
"MOM!" Isaac screamed, the tall man immediately grabbing him back.
"You all get out that ship now or the woman dies!" The general shouted.
Everyone in the ship began lowering the weapons in their hands, considering the words of the General. Helga was a co-worker to some of them and even a kind, soft-hearted neighbour. They could never give up someone so selfless for their own gain. As they had these thoughts, the general felt a sharp pain pierce his ribs. He looked down and saw a child with rage in his eyes.
"Don't lay a hand on my mom!" Isaac said sternly.
More soldiers came running out of the forest as the general kept his tight grip on Helga, even after they fell on the floor.
"I wasn't able to sense that kid at all..." the general thought.
He held on even more tightly to Helga who began coughing from the tight grip.
"I'll remember you both..." The General said while looking at Isaac and the tall man.
The tall man immediately knocked Isaac out and ran to the ship. They set sail quickly, the people at the back of the ship knocking back any of the soldiers attempting to get on. Bullets flew past the ship as everyone ducked out of range. The ship slowly made its way over the horizon, leaving only one soul behind.
One day later:
Isaac could feel the light touching his eyelids. He didn't know it yet, but it had been an entire day since his hometown was invaded by the Government.
"Hey. You're up Kid."
The voice sounded familiar. Isaac sat up, his eyes adjusting to the rays of light hitting his face. From what he could see, he was in the jungle with someone. He looked over to them and saw that it was was the tall bulky man who sold him fruits and beat up the soldiers.
"You.." Isaac said slowly.
"Sorry, but it looks like we've been stranded here. After your mom got taken away and we escaped on the ship, those assholes on the sailing ship had to get rid of two people to free some space. Looked like we caused the most trouble, thus leading us in this situation." The man explained.
"My mom.." Isaac teared up.
The man quickly attempted to cheer Isaac up, "It's fine. They probably haven't killed her."
Isaac started to cry even more, the man's attempt proving to be a failure.
He just sat there watching Isaac when he suddenly heard rustling from the bushes around them and the trees above them. He immediately stood up on guard. As he looked around with intense concentration, a group of hunters came out. All wearing primal clothing, holding spears with red markings on their face.
Isaac looked up with tears still in his eyes, now understanding the situation around him.
