Emperor's POV
The Emperor stared at Three in horror. "And you're certain of this?" Three nodded solemnly. "I saw the wolf myself.....there were however........... contrasting details with the boys second spirit."
The Emperor looked at Three with suspicion in his eyes, "Complications?" he asked. Three hesitated, trying to decide what he could say. "Shetland pony."
"What?" asked the Emperor, fiery rage burning in his eyes. Three swallowed nervously. "A Shetland pony....his second spirit is a Shetland pony....."
The Emperor sighed in his mind wondering how long he could suffer such imbeciles. "Get out." He said, barely containing his rage. Three swallowed what he was about to say and gave a quick bow before retreating back into the safety of the shadows.
Seeing Three leave, the elderly man took the chance to emerge from behind the Emperor's throne and sank down onto one knee. "Emperor..are you sure that spy of yours is to be trusted?"

The Emporer gave a dangerous grin. "What are you suggesting?" The man paled. "Nothing, Emperor...it's just...." the old man trailed off absent-mindedly. "What?!?!" demanded the Emperor both exasperated and annoyed.
"Well it's just," the old man continued in a hesitant voice. " There have been records before of high powered spirits hiding their true potential and even appearance...."
The Emporer stared at the old man all annoyance fading from his face. "You think the boy tricked us?" The old man nodded. "Everyone really." the Emporer's face changed as a torrent of emotions crossed his face. "Leave."
The old man didn't ask questions, but, instead gave a silent bow and hobbled towards the exit. As soon as the old man had left, the rage fell from the Emperor's face and was replaced by a deep sorrow.
The Emperor placed his head in his hands and sighed. "How long will you haunt me old friend?" Within the silent room, no one answered.

Lupos's POV
The next day and Lupos, joined by Wing, stood at the gates to the school waiting for the carriage (provided by the school) to show up and take them home. Lupos grinned at Wing as they saw the carriage approach....if one was to look closely at the carriage they may have noticed the small squirrel sitting on the top of the carriage with what looked suspiciously like a letter in its mouth....
