Title of chapter

It was weird, really.

I suddenly know which kinds of songs on which instruments would have effects, like a recovery boost. Ironically the song of recovery is one that can only be sung, without an instrumen. My head throbbed with the beating of my heart as if my skull was twitching at the sound of it.

With a bit of a blurry vision I made my way to the adventurers guild branch. The faster I got there the better. I won't be the first, that's for sure, but most are still resting to deal with the backlash of awakening a class.

I have it easy since bard is a spirit based class. Physical classers have it the hardest since every piece of their body starts to lash out at them, not just the head. If what I know is right then Intelect based classers barely feel anything, which would explain how a few of my fellow newbie classers walked out so casually.

Goodness, I hate it here. Why are there so many people?

My vision became a tad bit clearer and I quickened my step also just a tad bit. I'm in no hurry, but that doesn't mean I will waste a possible opportunity. Just because you don't need to run doesn't mean you should slow down.

As long there's something I need to do I will always be in a hurry.

My vision became gradually clearer which lead to me gradually speeding up. Once I could see clear again I moved at the fastest possible pace that's just below a jog.

Sweat weighed down my hair and I started to breathe heavily.

God dammit! Why did they make everything so far from everything else?

The guild branch finally came into view, fucking finally! Both my hurried pace and the midsummer sun gave me a beating, then a lesson about dehydration.

Did you know that you become really dizzy and light headed once you dry out? No? Well, now I do.

I opened the guild hall- branch- whatever, you know what I'm talking about. There are people in there, because what else are they supposed to do? I don't see a line anywhere, am I really that early?

If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it.

The hall was big but I didn't care, I didn't look around.

Where do I sign up now? I have to look around.

There, a receptionist desk. Around the desk, heavily breathing, sweat glueing their hair on their skulls and nervous eyes.

Fresh classers.

But why are they just sitting there doing nothing?

I walked towards the receptionists desk without slowing down. There are a lot and I mean a lot of papers on it. Name's are written on each, five names per paper, just like father said.

Only five heads per party is allowed for tier one adventurers.

I was planning to joining a balanced party, vanguard, sole support, long range damage, flanker, etc. However one name caught my attention.

Rose Lionheart

Her name stood alone because of course it did. She's the daughter of Siegfried Lionheart, possibly the most well known man after the King.

She doesn't need an introduction.

And that's why no one joined her.

Oh well, it's not like my name doesn't carry weight.

Rose Lionheart

Rainer Sagner

Now, I'm gonna go to a Inn and get something down my throat because my insides are this close to drying out.

----------------------------------------

The very next day

"You must be Sagner."

"Yes, I am. And if I'm not mistaken your Lady Lionheart."

"I am."

I'm gonna be honest, I expected a lady with key figure from someone like Siegfried. This is the very definition of disappointed expectations.

But instead of disappointed they were grounded to dust and used to bake bread.

She stood two heads taller than me (by shoulder height) and honestly if I couldn't see her face I would have mistaken her for a man. Whatever proportions she did or could have had where sacrificed for the sake of strength. By what I heard everything below her neck she inherited from her father and everything above from her mother. Her hair's a silky white and her blue eye reminds one of a calm lake. She has a piece of cloth wrapped around her head at an angle that covers one of her eyes, an eyepatch probably.

Her strength stat is probably higher than all my stats combined.

Strength and Intelligence are stats that can change on certain conditions, a tired mind is less effective and a malnourished body will fail on you.

However constitution and spirit that are constantly at their peak, only certain and specific stat altering conditions or a shit ton amount of training could change them noticeably.

"So lady Lionheart, there is something I wanted to test and I think you could really help me with that."

"Please, call me Rose. And what would that be you want to test?"

I looked around, making sure that no one was nearby. Then I blew the horn my father gave me for the constitution and strength enhancement.

"Hit me."

"What?"

"Punch me right in the chest."

"But, why?"

"You'll see, now punch me!"

She shrugged, winded up her arm, reaching far back and...
