Chapter 4: The Symbiote
Edward Toon:
While I certainly didn’t expect to see my former superior it makes sense, he was manipulating the information of the world for quite some time by the time that I left the service. Anyways, I continue to roast the steak, well the thing most similar to steaks I have seen since the tutorial started at least, and I pull newly created case, created by the tree from the wall and I place the 8 vials of neurotoxin inside, shut and secure the case while continuing the small talk.
“Where do you find the monstrous bovines that you gave to me?” I ask languidly.
“A spot around 5 miles from here.” David responds, but is quickly interjected by another in his group.”
“Why are we telling him this, and he only has a non-combat class, why don’t we just take the toxins.” A man with veiny red eyes and brown hair states.
“We couldn’t do anything to him here, and either way, it would be problematic for us because we'd be out of toxins at some
point because, as you can see, there are only about 10 vials on this floor.” David states in a patronizing tone. “No wonder your class is Genetic, Ursine Berserker is a perfect fit for your personality.”
In response to that slight, the man’s face became more red and he attempted to throw a punch at David, but turns out, nothing was there. That must be an ability of his class to manipulate the light information around him that others perceive. David promptly reappeared 7 feet to the right of where he was, or rather where he was the whole time. The Ursine Berserker began to chase after him, but was intercepted by another one of his allies in his party, and was promptly knocked out. A few minutes later, I hand off the case of Toxins and 7 Steaks of the bovine creature in a different, insulating case. Now time to nab some samples. I walk up to the bovine creature, grab samples and throw them into the Centrifuge in my Manipulator Arm before walking to the door and opening it. I walk through the door, resolving myself to go hunting. I start to generate the 2 minute spoil neurotoxin which takes 14 seconds to generate due to my mind attribute, because apparently, the time to generate is 6 minutes and that subtracted by my mind attributes is 14. By the time the Toxin is ready I have found my quarry, a large creature similar to what formerly be referred to as a beaver. It has black fur with two multiple feet long fangs emerging from its upper jaw. The creature is currently attempting to cut down a tree for what I believe is a dam. I begin to sneak towards the creature as it continues to make a racket by chewing on the tree's base, and just as it finishes cutting down the tree, it finally notices me and I dart forward but am intercepted by its tail, which, for some reason, has spikes the size of my leg. I am impaled through the left arm, completely mutilating it beyonds feasible repair, the seemingly metallic spike piercing through bone, yet I feel no pain. I wonder why that is while I begin to shoot my arm forward in an attempt to kill the beast. I am unsuccessful as I am thwacked by the tail a second time, this time not being pierced, but damaged nonetheless. As I begin to move in for a third attempt, hopping awkwardly towards my opponent, it simply disappears into the water. I sit there, with a mangled limb, slowly bleeding out, my own blood staining the ground around me, and I simply contemplate why I chose to attempt to kill a bloody beaver of all creatures. Then, I a crackling of footsteps, bipedal footsteps, the placements of feet are far too delayed from anything else. As I begin to worry I black out from what I suspect is blood loss.
Interlude-
Invidia Silvia:
When the Tutorial began I was 26, and visiting the UK for the sake of figuring out what type of genetic disease I had, which has the effect of causing me to be paralyzed. Before the tutorial, I had been a Pathologist yet when the tutorial came I got an Alert.

When I picked my class I was required to pick the Genetic Class, Symbiote. I began the tutorial with a leather tunic and pants and I was quickly located by a mutated variant of squirrel, which I managed to kill with my claws, a 1st level skill my class provided. I ended up leveling 3 times and crawled up to sleep in a tree before waking up. When I wake up I drop out of the tree and begin to walk down the river to find more beasts to kill before I come upon a man mauled by a river. At first, I believed he was dead until I saw the rise and fall of his chest, but I was quickly distracted by what my Bloodline and Class were telling me before blacking out.

Hours Later:
Edward Toon:
I wake up to the sound of a voice in my mind, but it has a voice my thoughts never do, instead of the perception of my own voice that my thoughts normally chorus it is the voice of a woman, at least, from what I can tell. The voice says:
“I certainly didn’t expect such a good host to come around, so badly injured, but never mind that. Based on courtesy I’ll give you my name and class. My name is Invidia Silvia, and my class is the Genetic class, Symbiote-Staged Bonding. Additionally, I am now your left arm.
“What the Hell!” I mentally shout in response, no having the instinctive courtesy for mental communication that she seems to have.
“Hey watch it, you’ll give me a headache!” She mentally shouts back. “At least open your eyes and get off the ground!” When she says this I remember that I was formerly bleeding out, so I sit up, opening my eyes. As soon as I open my eyes I look at my left arm which looks human, but I can’t move it voluntarily. Immediately after, 3 notifications pop up.
You have become the Symbiont of Invidia Silvia:
