A week has passed since the groups attempt at escaping the school, many students were being punished for a large amount of reasons, most of them were ridiculous. There is another challenge that the group will have to face, the teachers are going to tell the students all they need to know about it. Before all that would unfold, the Principal of the school had made a new rule, that would be a surprise for everyone.

It is 5:30 in the morning, everyone is in their dorm sleeping, when all of a sudden guards start barging into their rooms.

Guard: “RISE AND SHINE YOU SCUM! MORNING EXERCISES ARE BEGINNING!!!”

Arata: “W-Wha-“

Guard: “GET YOUR LAZY ASS OUT OF BED, NOW!”

Yoshida and Arata quickly jump out of bed like soldiers, making their bed and dressing up in their gym clothing.

*Yoshida yawns*

Yoshida: “What a drag…”

Arata: “Tell me about it…Do you think someone screwed up badly and got everyone involved?”

*Yoshida sits on the side of his bed*

Yoshida: “That is quite possible, I just wonder what’s the cause?”

The guard comes back to their doorway and looks at them, without saying a word Yoshida and Arata rush out of their room and go to the track field. Kaito, on the other hand had issues waking up as he is a heavy sleeper. He is forcibly woken up by a guard hitting him in the back.

*smack*

Kaito: “O-OW! SUZUKI! WHA-… Oh sorry there sir. Thought you were my friend.”

Guard: “Get…out…of…bed…NOW!!”

Suzuki was at the doorway ready to leave but had waited for Kaito to get dressed. Arata and Yoshida had waited nearby the dorm for Kaito and Suzuki to catch up, as they caught up Yoshida had to tell them some news he came across.

Yoshida: “Guys listen, I’ve heard some talk from the teachers lately. I believe that we are going to start with exams soon.”

Kaito: “What?! How soon?!”

Yoshida: “By the sounds of it, it’s probably going to start next Monday.”

Arata: “We still have another 7 days until they announce it, so if anything we get a head start in this.”

Suzuki: “I agree with Arata, keep this between us and we’re going to be solid during exams.”

The gym teacher that had the early morning class, wasn’t very enthusiastic about it. He forced the class to run from 5:50 till 7:00, classes begin at 7:10 in the morning.

10 minutes had passed since the class started running and the Gym Teacher gave out some special punishments during the entire hour of the run.

Gym Teacher: “ARE YOU WALKING THERE! I’LL BE ADDING 15 EXTRA MINUTES ON YOUR LIST!”

The teacher was merciless for every students, especially for slackers. Suzuki and Yoshida made it out of there without having added extra run time, unfortunately for Arata and Kaito, they have been assigned an extra 30 minutes in total.

Yoshida: “Those two are really out of share aren’t they?”

Suzuki: “Well I mean…they are weebs.”

As that word was said Kaito and Arata both sneezed at the same time.

*achoo!*

The morning classes were of no big deal, each of them passed really quickly without any struggle or punishments. Then lunch break rolled around.

*stomach grumbles*

Arata: “I’m starving…”

Kaito: “Want to get some pizza?”

Arata: “What about the rest? Won’t they tag along?”

Kaito: “They already went for the default lunch.”

Along the way Arata & Kaito were discussing about how much they miss watching anime and reading manga.

Arata: “WAIT!”

Kaito. “Huh?”

Arata: “This might be just a IF, but what if they have m-m-manga in the library?!”

*Kaito stood still*

Kaito: “Arata…let’s go grab that pizza slice and then…RUSH TO THE LIBRARY!”

Some time had passed, both of them arrived to the entrance of the library, but before they could even enter they were blocked by a guard.

Guard: “ If you’re going to enter you better throw that food in the trash. Maybe throw one of yourselves in as well.”

They just laugh it off while throwing the slices in the bin, and then proceed to enter the library.

Arata: “Ok, spread out and look for a manga!”

While they were looking around, Kaito bumbed into a girl that had an expression on her face like she has found gold.

*Kaito walks up behind her*

Kaito: “Are you…okay?”

???: “M-m-m-m-m…”

Kaito: “Huh? M what?

???: “M-M-MANGA!!!”

Kaito: “WHERE!”

???: “Right in front of us!”

Kaito: “ARATA THIS WAY!”

Not even a minute passes when Arata arrives to the scene, the only scene that he witnessed was Kaito and a girl on the ground, shedding tears of sorrow.

Arata: “W-W-What happened?!”

*Kaito sniffs*

Kaito: “This...This manga is from the 90’s and it’s a crappy romance…”

*Arata gasps*

Arata: “DAMN YOU FAITH ACADEMY!!!”

All that noise the group caused, made some guards arrive to the scene. The scene was of a girl in tears on the ground and Kaito holding Arata by his collar. Needless to say the guards quickly grabbed Kaito, and started beating him as they threw him out of the library.

Arata: “Y-You! What’s your name?”

???: “M-Me? I’m Sakura, Sakura Shimizu.”

Arata: “Quickly, come with me to the guy that just got thrown out of here.”

Sakura: “Y-Yea…”

Once they’ve arrived to Kaito, it looked like he had a severe wound.

Sakura: “A-Are you okay there?”

Kaito: “Y-Yea- ow – ow – ow – ow!”

Arata: “I think you have a broken arm, Sakura! Help me carry him to the nurse.”

On the way to the nurse, they stumble upon Suzuki and Yoshida on their way back to class. As Arata explained the situation, Suzuki bursted out in anger.

Suzuki: “WHAT THE FUCK! THEY TOOK THIS TOO FAR NOW! THEY’RE GONNA PAY FOR WHAT THEY DID!”

*Yoshida places his hand on Suzuki’s shoulder*

Yoshida: “I don’t like it as well, but we have to put up with this crap until we find another escape route.”

Sakura: “Did you guys just say escape route?”

Arata: “Good job, you’ve revealed what we’re doing…”

Sakura: “N-N-No, no, no! Me and my friend have been trying to find ways out of here aswell!”

Suzuki: “Ahhhh, I’ve calmed down a bit now. Did you find any way if I may ask?”

*Sakura looked down at the floor*

Sakura: “N-Not yet.”

Yoshida: “Once we drop off Kaito at the nurse, can you introduce us to your friend? We might have a better chance of escaping if we work together.”

*Sakura looked back up and smiled*

Sakura: “I will, and once we’re out, I’ll treat you guys to a crepe.”

The entire group on the way to the nurse had a boosted morale, feeling like they had their hopes increased.

Sakura: “Let’s do this after classes, meet me in front of the girls dorm at exactly 7:00PM.”

Time passed as classes continued, at the end of the day Kaito was still at the nurses office resting. The group met up at the location they were told to be and waited for Sakura & her friend.

Sakura: “Sorry to keep you guys waiting! She is a bit shy when it comes to other people, so it took a bit more time.”

Yoshida: “That’s fine, who might you be, if I may know.”

???: “H-Himaru…Himaru Rin.”

Suzuki: “Nice to meet you Rin. We heard you are making plans to escape this school.”

Rin: “T-That’s true.”

Yoshida: “Don’t worry, we have the same plan. The problem is how do we escape?”

Sakura: “Let’s not talk about this here, let’s go inside.”

Arata: “We’re not allowed in the girls dorm.”

Sakura: “Don’t worry, we’re going in from the back.”

Yoshida: “Wait, don’t the windows have metal bard blocking going in and out from them?”

Sakura: “Not the ones in the toilet!”

Arata: “We’re so screwed if we’re caught… FINE! Let’s go!”

Once that was settled, the group sneaked through the toilet, up the stairs and then into Sakura’s and Rin’s dorm.

Sakura: “We want to keep this conversation as short as possible. So I’m going straight to the point here.”

Everyone: “ Ok!”

Sakura: “ There is a sewage system in one of the locker room on the ground floor, located in the School building.”

Everyone: “…”

Sakura: “Escaping isn’t really a luxury I know that! But if it means getting out of here, what’s stopping us?”

Everyone: “Shit.”

Sakura: “Don’t you guys want to get out of here?!”

Everyone: “Yes.”

Sakura: “Then we’ll do this!”

*Everyone in the room sighs*

Everyone: “Fine…”

Yoshida: “We’ll have to plan this out in detail. The next few days, we will spend analyzing the guards movements around the School building and it’s surroundings.”

Sakura: “I’ll bribe the cleaning crew in the school to leave a window open.”

Arata: “How will you do that?”

Sakura: “Don’t underestimate my abilities.”

Everyone: “Whore.”

Sakura: “N-NOT LIKE THAT YOU IDIOTS!!! The cleaning crew consists of students, so all I’ll offer them is some bonus food or money and they’ll listen.”

Arata: “PLAN DIRTY RATS IS A GO!”

Everyone: “N-No…”

Sakura: “How about…Road to Freedom?”

*Everyone nods*

Arata: “PLAN ROAD TO FREEDOM IS A GO!!!”

After that, the boys sneaked out through the toilet once again and back into their dorm. The next few days, Arata and Suzuki were assigned to watch the left wing of the school for the guards patern. Yoshida and Kaito, are going to watch the right wing of the school and Sakura and Rin the middle. In the following 3 days, they will mark out the locations and prepare to execute plan Road to Freedom.
