Everyone went back to their classroom as the bell rang. Those outside came rushing in the gate as it gets closed, like some bunch of ants fleeing from water.
The words that my parents said to me last night were still intact deep in my mind, making me unable to concentrate while reading the book I just bought recently. I had to read a sentence over and over again just to understand what it means.
A noisy class like always. But once our teacher arrived, everyone shut their mouth. Now this is the part I don't get.
"Stand! Bow! Sit!"
Following the command of the class chairman.
The teacher was gleeful for some reason. Well, she was already gleeful to begin with, but her smile gives off a strong impression.
Out of curiosity, I asked.
"Sensei, did you get a boyfriend?"
Everyone went silent once again and started to murmur one another.
Then they began bombarding me one after another.
"That's rude, Hayasu-kun. Look, sensei is down the drain thanks to you."
"What the heck is wrong with you? Understand a maiden's heart first, before you talk about love!"
"Boo... Hayasu, can't you see sensei is still young. She doesn't have to rush."
I wanted to rebut the last one, but I think there will be another wave of bombs coming right at me if I do so.
"M-Maa... That wasn't really why I'm in a good mood, but I forgive you, Hayasu-kun. Actually there's good news for you guys."
Everyone rejoiced from hearing the words "good news", because news from teacher, whether good or bad, is something really interesting.
In this case, it would truly be a good one no matter what. It's like some sort of "breaking the law of physics" miracle.
"Well, besides from the school festival..."
I called it. I knew it was the school festiva— Wait, that's not it?
".....From today onwards you will have a new classmate, who just transferred in recently."
"""""..."""""
"W-What happened to all of you?"
eh? No way...
All of us fell into a deep moment of silence. No one talked. No one reacted. No one jumped up and down from the excitement.
Breaking the silence, my best friend, Yuri Zenku, stood up and asked teacher to confirm something.
"S-Sensei, i-is the transfer student.......a g-g-g-girl?....."
Stuttering, but surely.
The teacher looked at him, but didn't answer him with words; only with a bright smile.
"Ora—"
A word came out of Yurii's mouth in a voice that could barely be heard.
Oh boy.....
""""""ORAAAA!!!!!!!!!"""""
I had to cover my ears to block the battle cries of every male in the classroom.
They celebrated like wild beasts would. Some of them banged their head on the chair and others removed the uniform and swirled it crazily. There were also moments that they sang praises in high-pitches like a choir would.
The girls were disgusted from the boys' action, including me.
I don't really know why, but I wasn't doing the weird things the other boys were doing. I was still sitting on my chair since awhile ago.
Acting as the leader of those male in heat was Yurii.
The boys gave him a cape-like cloth and wrapped it around Yurii's shoulders, and let put a crown-like headpiece on top of his head. This gave a quite absurd impression of a king.
"Hmhm... Sensei!! Let the transfer student come in please!...."
I cringed after seeing his face that sparkled like never before. I think I wasn't the only one though.
"... As gentlemen, we cannot let the lady keep in wait. Am I right, boys?"
""""Yes, your highness!!"""
E-English!?! Why?!
His voice when he said that gave my backbone a lot of chills. Yet again, I think I'm not the only one. Poor girls...
"Okay, okay... Please settle down and keep your uniform on, or else I won't call for her."
The boys got shocked and immediately put back their uniform.
In a blink of an eye, they were back to their seats like nothing happened.
".......Ahem~...... Then, I think you've waited enough outside. You can enter now."
I expected the transfer student like another student coming in.
I didn't have the slightest interest in her, because of how boring she might be.
Thus, I looked away and to window beside me.
In front of me is the leader of those beastly males, my bestfriend, Yurii. A pain in the ass, to be honest, but even so he's a good person and someone I can trust.
Leaning backwards, he whispered to me.
"Hey, let's bet if the transfer student is like an oujo-sama or not. I say she is. If I win, you treat me to lunch; otherwise, I treat you. How does that sound?"
Sounds reasonable. I guess I should try.
This tale has been unlawfully lifted without the author's consent. Report any appearances on Amazon.
"Sure, why not? It's just lunch, so what could possibly go wrong?"
"Heh... I'm betting against the luckiest person alive. Saying such thing is already making me lose hope, you know."
"Says the guy who made a bet."
"Haha...."
After having the bet, the transfer student finally came in.
I watched the moving clouds in the sky and the birds in it. Like I said, I'm disinterested with transfer student, so I'm not aware of what she looks like.
For some reason, the boys didn't shout for joy and all that crap. Since even Yurii didn't say a word, I guess he won the bet?
Normally, people would be speechless upon seeing a beautiful girl.
Giving her encouragement, teacher set the stage for her.
"Please don't be shy."
...
"My name is Elisa Shiraha. Because of my father's work, I had to transfer schools from Sachizen All-Girls Private Academy. I love to cook, wash the laundry, and clean the dishes. I am very confident i-in my cooking.... O-Oh my. I forgot what I was doing. I-I'm very sorry everyone."
Everyone started laughing in a friendly way.
Oh boy...
The way she stuttered was cute though.
Without even looking, I can already feel the 'oujo-sama' impression from her.
Her voice sounded very graceful and is very soothing to listen to.
".......Then... let me end my introduction. Nice to meet you, everyone. I hope we can get along well."
Everyone applauded for some reason. I just went along with the flow and applauded along with them.
Then finally... Some boys cried?... And girls too!?
"D-Did I make you cry!?"
"Hahaha.. It looks like your new classmates are happy."
"Sensei... Is that so...."
"Well, enough of the drama. Which seat do you want to go? Don't worry, we do seat rotation every term."
The open seats were two seats surrounded by girls and one sit near the window at the back corner, which is right beside me.
Those beside open seats gestured their best for her to sit there. A natural reaction, I suppose.
Teacher got curious from what she said in her introduction.
"By the way, Shiraha-san. I heard your family is rich. Why is your hobby doing chores and such?"
"Ah!"
Everyone fell silent once again, after just being noisy.
"That's because it's for Kei-kun~"
""""""...""""""
"Kei-kun" huh?... That's a nostalgic name I've been called in my childhood days. I wonder who's that lucky guy she's talking about?
Of course, I still haven't seen the transfer student. But out of curiosity, I took a peek of what she looked like.
"Hm... So who's this lucky "Kei-kun~"? Your boyfriend."
"He's actually from this class......I think."
Golden hair, sky blue eyes, fair skin. And most importantly, the RBW handmade bracelet she wore. It definitely was her, Elisa.
Wait... "Kei-kun"?... Isn't that....
"Kei... Kei... Kei... Were you referring to Keitaru Hayasu?"
It seems like teacher's guess was a bull's-eye!
The transfer student, Elisa Shiraha, got excited from what teacher said.
"Yes, yes. That's him, sensei."
Sigh.. She's the same as always. Always forgetting about the important stuffs— No. This is bad!—
"So what's your relationship with him? Cousins?"
You damn foolish teacher!!! What do you mean cousins!? This is why you're still single!!
"He's my....."
Fidgeting all of a sudden, everyone got curious from what she was about to say.
I can feel the daggers pointed at me.
So far, the boys haven't spoken a single word; much worse, reacted like awhile ago. At least go wild or something. Don't just stay silent.
"—Fiancé...."
She said it!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why?!!!! You just dug my own gra—!!
"Neh...."
Yurii be like.
3... 2... 1...
"You have to treat me lunch, okay~"
"?"
Seeing Elisa Shiraha's clueless expression, I face palmed myself out of disbelief.
I could feel everyone's piercing glares and ill-intent inside them.
But the worst thing that I could possibly ask for, is a rumor that will spread like wildfire. I hope it doesn't happen.
"So I'll take it that that you'll sit beside him. But are you sure that you want to sit at the corner?"
"Yes, sensei. Thank you very much."
After saying it with a cute voice, she headed straight to her seat beside my chair. Everybody looked at her dumbfounded.
"U-Uh......I... Sensei has to do something important, so I can't help you plan about the school festival. Maybe tomorrow or later. This will now be your... free time."
Walking towards the door, everyone said a few words of encouragement to her.
"Good luck, sensei."
"I pray for your good luck, sensei."
"Sensei, don't stay in there for too long."
"Stand. Bow. Sit."
When she said "something important", what she meant was "cry in the girl's bathroom after receiving a critical hit on her heart" sort of thing.
Right after, exactly right after, teacher closed the door, the ill-intent turned to malicious intent.
I saw teacher just run through the hallway while crying, as if she was heartbroken. Kinda made me want to pity her.
""""Keitaru!! Hayasu!! You have some explanation to do!!!!""""
"—Eh? Hayasu isn't here!! Heks hiding somewhere!!"
"Every boy with a "junior", go and search the entire classroom!"
The boys just don't know how to tone down their voices.
I don't really get why the neighboring classes don't mind the noise they make. I mean, the walls and windows are soundproof, but still...
Searching for me was pointless.
Meanwhile, the girls all gathered around Elisa and had a typical "girl" and "transfer student" talk.
Coming out of the classroom and shutting the door afterwards, Yurii found out where I was at.
"So this was the place that you hid. When though?"
"Meh.. I predicted that this was going to happen, so I went outside when sensei did."
"What a genius you are..."
Praising me for such thing won't flatter me at all, since it was just a mere coincidence straight out from luck.
"I don't know how or when you got a fiancé...."
"So you want to know? Is that what you wanted to say?"
"Not exactly.. But something like that...."
"You want to be enlightened from what's happening? Is that the word?"
"Yeah. That's the one."
He sat beside me to listen.
Yurii, although sly at times, isn't a straightforward person. Probably because of his unique talent in gambling.
"You know those cliché childhood stuff in your otaku delusions?"
"What about it? Was there some sort of "promise" flag that you did?"
"Nothing of that sort. It's the more embarrassing one."
After thinking deeply through his mind, he finally had hunch of what the story behind my "romantic" encounter.
"D-Don't tell me... you actually played with her... and...."
"Exactly—"
"Pff....."
This bastard...
I looked at my best friend, only to see that he's barely holding himself from bursting into laughter. Kinda pisses me off.
"Haha, sorry for that one. I just— Pff..."
".... Pff... Hahaha. I'm such an idiot to do such thing."
"Haaa.. So what happened? Let me guess.......You guys were playing some sort of "family acting" game."
"Well, like I said, it's cliché. When I was around three years of age, my parents and I went to vacation in the seaside for a month, I think. As a kid, I would venture out of the summer house and wander around the beach picking up shells and smooth pebbles. One day, I met this girl that was around the same age as me drawing some stuff on the sand with a stick—"
"That girl drawing on sand is Shiraha-san? Wow."
"Anyways, I looked at what she was drawing, you know a child's mind, and noticed that she drew a happy face. So I asked her why was drawing such a simple thing. She was surprised and all, because she probably didn't know I was there. She gave me the stick and I drew her—"
"Heh— So that's why you're like this."
Interrupting me once again, I threatened Yurii.
"If you're going to that again, I'll stop story telling."
"S-Sorry. I was just excited an all. Just make it quick though. The next class is about to start."
".........So I drew her face smiling. Although, yes, it was my first time seeing her, I was pretty confident that I drew it perfect enough. When I was about to say what I drew, she cried for some reason and left......The end, story's over, happy ending."
"Wait, it's not yet done! You still haven't told me the cringy game you did."
I got up from sitting down and went back inside the classroom
It seems that they've settled down after I left.
"Come to my house if you want to hear the rest of the story."
Just like that, I shut the door on his retarded face.

>>>>>>>>>>Elisa's Perspective<<<<<<<<<<
I-I'm so nervous. This is the first time that I'm transferring schools. I didn't expect it to be this nerve-wracking. Not only that, Kei-kun is here.
No, no, no. Don't be nervous around Kei-kun. He's kind and isn't the type of person to be disappointed.
Okay... I've calmed down..
"Whoo...—"
"""""ORAAAA!!!!!!""""
Eh!.. That startled me.........I wonder what's happening inside.
...
W-Will I be....fine....?
