Arc 1: Sect Leader Rugigsha

Arc 1: Sect Leader Rugigsha

Sect Leader Rugigsha stared off into the distance, resting his arms against the various semi-precious stones that made up his castle, where the young cultivators of his sect, The Ashes of Deity's, were training by fighting with each other.

One of the cultivators fighting, tripped on a stone, muttering a curse word under his breathe. Rugigsha frowned, noting to himself to order one of the elders to reprimand the child for breaking one of the rules of the sect.

The opponent that the cultivator was currently facing, was quick to capitilize on the boy's mishap and he used a technique to enforce his fist, knocking out his opponent in one hit. Rugigsha smiled, anticipating the future that the boy down below, might have, if the boy worked hard enough.

As he was looking down at another practice match, he heard footsteps behind him. A loud voice, suddenly crackled in his ear, saying, "Brother!" He turned around trying to mask his irritation.

His half-brother, Setarut, a very vicious and homely looking man, started advancing towards him, disregarding all etiquette towards his set leader and telling him all about his adventures outside the sect. From slaying hordes of monsters, to bedding beautiful women, he said it all. Once the man realized that he was not interested, he quickly changed the subject.

He came closer, trying to whisper conspiciously to Rugigsha's ear, that he had found something powerful. Rugigsha's eyes glanced at his brother in interest, before looking away trying to act nonchalant. Sensing the invitation, his brother quickly took out a sword, presenting it to him. He grabbed it and started examining it, until he felt it.

Shard of the Demon King's Greed ?????????

Rugigsha's eyes bulged with greed. He thought to himself,"It's MINE, ALL MINE." After pointing the sword at his vermin of a brother, he ordered his brother to tell him where he had found it. His brother pulled out a map, coming closer to him until he was all but a few inches away. Rugigsha quickly snatched it from his brother and examined it.

Realizing it was just an ordinary map of the world, He started taking out the sword, trying kill his brother for having the nerve to lie to him. But then, his brother took out a needle and stabbed him with it. He immediately started convulsing and writhing around trying to get rid of the pain.

Before dying, he stared at his brother with rage, cursing himself for being taken by surprise, before getting impaled in the face.

~Setarut~

He stared in shock at what he done, before realizing that there was no turning back now. He picked up the sword that was impaled on his brothers face holding it in his hand staring at the interface in front of him that was only clear to him.

After looking at the effects of the sword, he sneered at his brother ruined face, remembering all the times that Rugigsha had looked down on him with contempt and disgust. For good measure, he spat on his brother's face and stamped on it, reducing it to a bloody pulp. He pocketed his now-deceased brothers spatial ring and took out the magical flare that the members of the cult, Demon King's Sect, had given him along with the sword to enthrall his brother . And he fired it into the sky.

After a few moments of silence, the undercover cultists revealed themselves, but not before spreading disorder. The fires started along with the faint clashing of weapons. He flew down, the wind rushing against his face, and landed where one of his former sects elder were fighting one of his fellow cultist. He assisted the member, who was struggling to keep the elder at bay by using one of his various techniques to crush the elder's head like a watermelon.

The member nodded in appreciation, before flying off to join yet another fight. After helping several more allies, he flew up into the sky, as far as he could before lighting up another flare and shooting it out. Below him, all the cultists retreated into the sky. The sect members below, started firing skills at them, causing many of the cultists to fall because of direct hits and get torn apart by the onslaught of skills.

Still, some of them survived and they, along with him, began preparing one of the formations that the cult had given them with the energy crystals also given to them.

The formation slowly began, a huge red circle started materializing above the sect getting brighter and brighter. Still, cultists were still being dropped by the onslaught of skills. Albeit, at a slower rate, since most of the sect's members had realized something was amiss and were abandoning the sect. "But it was no use," he thought to himself because they had set up a Block Movement Formation.

Seturat, exhausted his Energy Crystal that he had, and he took out another one. Although this one could hold a lot more energy. Energy Crystal, he started using up its reserves. All around him, cultists frantically poured energy into the formation.

Until, it activated. Demon King's Wrath. A huge beam of blood-red power, rained down on the sect. Massive surges of energy blanketing the sect, incinerating all the buildings and lifeforms.

After the tangible amounts of power, disseminated enough for them to examine the aftermath of the attack without getting harmed by the remaining energy, they cautiously flew down. What was left of the sect, was simply a crater large enough to fit one of the medium-sized cities that the sect had previously controlled.

If their spies were correct, they were always correct, there should be at least one baby that had survived and was feeding on the energy. He shuddered at the fact, that there were monsters in the world that could feed on energy that powerful without blowing up.

He examined the crater along with the other cultists, trying to find something. After awhile of not finding anything, all of them were suddenly summoned by one of the formationists who controlled the Block Movement Formation.

The formationist explained to them that she had felt a disturbance in the formation right before the sect was annihilated and she hadn't thought much of it and thinking that it was one of the elders of the sect who had managed to get his hands on a legendary teleportation artifact and activated it before he or she was dying, until she heard that they could not find any of the babies. He tried to remember if his brother or the sect had an artifact that was powerful enough to teleport them out of the formation.

Then, he remembered, his blood running cold. A while back, his half-brother had claimed that one of his private expeditions had resulted in him getting a legendary teleportation artifact.
