A translucent box blocked my vision, but I was too busy looking at all the people around me.
I remember I was finally being placed until I was moved away exactly 4.5 minutes later.
Perhaps I wasn’t ready, and I am here for testing. Yet, I am still connected to the tank. I did not know how the humans brought me inside through those unwieldy doors.
Humans are very wise, they must have found a different way. I am still in the same tank though. One human stepped forward, and began making noises. I listened, yet could not comprehend his greatness. I mentally shunned myself.

He pointed at me, then clasped his head. I could only wonder.
----------------------------------------
I used [Identify] on the thing before me. A “mechanical pet” sounds rather subservient for a creature of such stature. It is of no matter to me.
”SBT, can you understand me?” I pointed towards it to hopefully grab its attention. If it wasn’t sentient, then perhaps “pet” is a stretch.
I became frustrated at the silence. Some of the summoners began shuffling and whispering, a healer came in for the unconscious summoner, and I spoke again, “RESPOND.”
I guess that is fine. I told the healer to bring some guards to lift the object to the storage.
The summoners and I scattered toward the door in complete silence, passing by the healer.

He made a louder noise, then calmed down. Another green-robed person came in, holding a long walking stick with a green orb at the top. Elderly? She did not seem very old. She brought the staff to the person-who-I-now-realized-is-either-sleeping-or-dead. The glow strengthened, and the person got up, looking around. Humans are truly the most intelligent beings. I was unaware of the healing capabilities of g r e e n. I will remember that. The loud man made more noises towards the woman, then all of them left the room. Leaving me here.
----------------------------------------
A little while later, some men incased in steel came over and walked to my sides. Were they going to get inside? Then they reached for my treads, and pulled upwards. Their wisdom was immense. They all started shouting, then one left. The man of steel returned 23 minutes later with three other larger men in steel. They all found their spots and- lifted me. So very wise. To cover oneself in hydraulics.
----------------------------------------
”Holy shit this thing is heavy,” I grunted. I walked like a crab out the door, hauling the summon along with me. Some mages turned to look but were not bothered by the sight. After hours of trekking through the academy, we made it outside and into the storage cavern.
We left, a job well done. I began thinking of my family at home. Good thing it’s almost end of shift.
----------------------------------------
The humans brought me to a deep garage that is full of glowing swords, barrels, some birds that were caged, and more.
They did not take out my AI, nor did they give me orders. Wow, my first real day as a tank. I spent the night scanning the items, and the same translucent screen appeared. I did not know where it was, as I could not move from it. Perhaps these are my orders. It was in writing I could understand.
Obtained “Scanner V”
I gained another scanner? I tested it, yet I could not find a new one, I already had 360 degree vision. I did notice, however, was that my scanning was cleaner, and went farther.
The same people from yesterday came in to haul me out, bringing me somewhere I have never seen before.

We placed the object in a large carriage designed for bigger items. Summoned items go for a hefty price, and could bring unknown benefits. Once, a small object was bought for 5 gold, the mages were sure it was useless. Turned out that it conjured lightning, although not very flashy or strong it did well for sneak attacks for its extended lightning thrower, its compact size, and black coloration.
The carriage went off towards the bidding “house” in the distance. I could still see the great structure from here.
