A Scorpion's Journey!
My New Friend's A What?!

My New Friend's A What?!

Beyond the door, Toxonia sees a boy, not much taller than her, in a dimly lit room. There's torches on the walls, and everything in the room is very primitive to her. The boy turns to face her, and the boy, which she could not make out originally, she now is viewing their true appearance. She cannot believe her eyes, and her scorpion mouth goes ajar. It's a humanoid, much like her, but they're a tuna. She doesn't know whether or not to laugh or scream at the sight, but either way, it's a living organism. The person speaks after a moment, in a very curious and energetic sounding voice. It's oddly familiar to her. "Who are you? Woah! You're a scorpion! And your tail is so long!" She takes a moment to respond, but she does. "T-Toxonia..." Her voice sounds hoarse, like she threw her voice and confidence into an incinerator, and tried using the ashes to speak again. He looks a little shocked. "Are you new to this world, too?" Toxonia looks very surprised by this question. "T-This world? What is this world?" The boy does not respond, but instead, shrugs. She expected as such. "Well, one moment, I was at home, and now I'm here. My name's Sylvius. I'm a level one, soon-to-be, master of the ocean!" Toxonia notices he's full of life, and it reminds her of someone she used to know, but can't remember at the moment. He speaks again, seeming confident. "Hey, I'll call you Tox. You want to travel this world together?" Tox, obviously, nods. The more people, the better off she is. "Come, I wanna show you something!" He grabs her hand, and leads her out the old front door quickly, taking Tox by surprise. When they leave the house, she sights the most alien world she's ever seen in her whole life. There's grass everywhere-and flowers, too-but there's floating sky islands, and there's giant holes in the ground, approximately 100 feet in diameter. They're strewn about randomly, and they appear to be endless abysses. Before she can even think, a message pops up in her view. "Welcome to Valor's Edge." Sylvius decides to speak. "Isn't this beautiful?" Meanwhile, Tox is absolutely horrified, confused, and utterly lost. "B-Beautiful?! This looks horrifying!" Sylvius laughs at Tox's response, and grabs her hand again, leading them down from the cliff where the house resides, and leads her to a pond. "Not only is this world different, look at the water!" Tox glances at the water. It's shimmering with light, and the water is green. "W-What? Why is it green?" Sylvius lets go of her hand, and jumps into the water. Tox tries reaching out, but it's too late, and he's already under the water. He emerges from the water after a minute or two, laughing. "It feels so good!" Tox stares at him with a look of utter disappointment and worry. "Y-You could've been hurt, Sylvius! Why'd you do that?!" He scoffs at her, still smiling. "What are you, my mother?" And he resubmerges. Tox, curious about the water, touches it very cautiously. Upon touching it, Sylvius pops out, startling her. "AH! D-Don't do that!!!" He laughs hysterically, before looking at her smugly. "Well, ain't you just a coward." She glares slightly in annoyance, before sighing. "Well, what's up with the sky islands? Why aren't they dropping?" Sylvius looks at her before, yet again, shrugging. "I donno, but let's try to find a village, or something." He swims to the shore very quickly, and gets out next to Tox. "Let's find civilization, Tox!"
