Friday 2014 April 25th Luna's mother had died and her furnearl was being held today.
In a gravesite where a bunch of people had gathered, Luna had been watching as they lowered her mother’s corpse in a casket down a hole. Luna’s facial expressions had diminished as she saw the casket going down the big hole in the ground.
‘She’s really dead’
Luna had wanted to turn back time to a point where herself, her father, and mother were once a happy family. She had missed the time they had first spent in Anchorage, where her mother and father hadn't started to fight, where she wasn't friends with those assholes, she had deeply missed it.
“Luna… it's going to be alright, you're a kind strong soul I know you're going to be ok. Your mother would be proud of you” Her father had scrambled for the right words to say.
Thinking about what her father had said and what she had been doing for the past few months and said to herself.
‘I'm not kind or strong at all, if anything I’m a coward,’
An hour had passed by and the funeral had ended, with no one remaining in the graveyard. Luna and her father had been the ones to leave the graveyard last the drive back home for them had been excruciatingly silent.
By the time they had reached home her father had asked her.
“Luna, you can tell me if your hurt y’know”
Luna had unknowingly ignored her dad, silently cursed herself for not spending time with her mother more. She headed to her room.
Luna had been sitting in her room for hours upon hours, and had been doing nothing for the entire time. she had asked herself repeatedly what if she was a better human being would things be different then. Would she have had a better life if she was braver and stopped herself from being such a bad person. What if she had been more knowledgeable and stopped her parents from fighting.
Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.
She had been wallowing for the entire day wishing for a better life. By the time it was morning Luna had still been up, her father had knocked on her door, to be met with silence.
“Luna, are you up?” her father had questioned.
Not hearing a response Luna’s dad had continued.
“You can stay home from school if you want to, I've got to work” Luna’s Father had informed her.
He had quietly walked away leaving Luna alone by herself.
Five days had passed by, In that time Luna had barely eaten, and stayed in her room. She did not know what to do about herself anymore, contemplating why she should be alive in the first place.
As she was sitting in the room with a dead expression on her face, her phone had ranged from a text from one of her actual former friends, Camila. She had sent something that made Luna stare at the screen for
“Sorry for being such bad friend Luna”
Luna had replied quickly “You have nothing to be sorry for. I was the one who had left you to hang around with those bullies.”
After a few seconds Camilla had replied. “ And I was the one who let you do it, I’m sorry.”
Thinking for a moment on how to reply to her friend she had said “ It was my own decision that led me to do what I had done, plus I don't think you could have stopped me anyways”
“Really because I don't really think so, If I had stood up for you would you have been my friend still” Camilia had declared.
“We are still friends, right,” Luna had texted in return.
A minute had passed by for Camila to reply “ Yeah“
Camila and Luna had been talking for a few hours till the had decided they had wanted to meet at an arcade to hang out for a while.
Getting out of her room wanting to dress herself she had noticed that she had been quite stinky. Luna had taken a warm shower to clean herself up. Getting off the shower she had gotten some new clothes thinking about what her and Camila are going to play.
By the time she had been there, so was Camila. It was the first time in a while that she felt something other than being sad. It was so exhilarating to play games with Camila.
“Camila, Thank you, if not for you I would have been trapped in my room for all my life. I promise I’ll be a better friend and won't hurt anyone anymore. I’ll start by apologizing to everyone I had hurt and ask for their forgiveness” Luna had declared while watching her friend play dance dance revolution.
As soon as she had said that she had fallen over. Feeling that her heart had been torn to shreds inside her body. Luna didn't want to die already; she hadn't even had the chance to say sorry to anyone at all. She had finally begun to want to live .
She tried to shout for help but the only thing that came out was saliva with her tears running down her cheek like a river.
Luna had died.
