“Emma, why are you back so early?” Kaylyn had asked in confusion thinking that Emma was going to come back at a later time because of the text she had sent.
“5:46 PM is not early mom” Emma had said in a playful tone.
“ I thought you were coming home at 8 or 9, because that's late, not 5 o’clock,” Kaylyn responded with a sincere smile.
“Anyways, do you want to come to a cookout with me?” Kaylyn had inquired.
“Sure mom I don't really have anything to do anyways” Emma had replied.
With that Kaylyn had looked for a phone which was seemingly lost in the couch they she had been laying on. When she had found Kaylyn had texted her work friends in a group chat a question.
“Would you all mind if my daughter came along with me?”
“No” Cath had answered immediately
“I dont think it's a good idea to leave a kid with a bunch of drunk adults,” Caleb had answered.
“Yeah no, I just wanted all of us to be there” the bun man had answered.
Thinking about the instantaneous denines rude denies Kaylyn had gone to inform her daughter about. When suddenly her phone rang in her hand from a notification.
“If you are looking for a place to drop your kid off, she can stay at my place with my mom. I don't really feel like going anyways,” Martin had responded.

Emma had finally come back home after the mess of emotions within Mrs.Zoe's encounter, she had wanted to relax and watch some television, maybe even take a nap.
“ Emma, sorry I can't take you with me. Would you want to go to one of my coworkers' places instead?, apparently his grandma makes nice cookies” Her mom had mentioned.
“Sure” Emma reluctantly replied and agreed simply because she had asked her.
“Neat, I'll tell you when” Her mom added.
An hour and half passed by, and Emma had arrived at one of her mom’s co-workers' places.
It was the same black and white condos that she had helped the old lady from before.
After saying bye to her mother she had gone towards the condos with a thought that had lingered in her mind ever since Mrs. Zoe had told her about her problems.
‘It's your fault, you killed Luna’
With that Emma had entered the condo being met by a large man with a thick beard, empty black eyes that had seemed to peer through a void, a healthy amount of hair, wearing blue striped pajamas.
“Your Kaylyn’s kid, you're older than I thought you were, you look about the same age as my own daughter” The man had said with a weary expression.
“Ma! The guess is here” shouted the man.
An old lady with a black night gown had come to the door a few minutes after she was called. Rushing she had said “ I am here, where’s the kid,”
Mrs. Zoe had started at her for a bit then shouted “Emma! I didn't know you were coming today, would you like some snacks”
After greeting each other the three of them had come up the stairs that had separated the door from the rest of the house. The living room was rather spacious. Having multiple paintings, with a patterned brown, green, gray striped couch sitting right in the middle of the room, and a tv facing the north side of the room playing a movie, and a bucket of popcorn on a glass table in between the two.
With Emma feeling like she had weights on her heart they had asked her to join them watching a movie. Not really wanting to agree, she had. Mrs. Zoe had grabbed the remote and played the movie, The Judge.
