13. Congratulations

"Sloth?" I looked to him with a confused expression. "How? Did I die!?" So like me to assume the worst right off the bat. However, in this case I might be right.

He just chuckled. Somehow, looking kinda cleaner, and not tired.

"No Laura you're not dead."

"Then what happened?"

"I wanted to congratulate you. For being the first of my representative to survive a whole month. And for being the fourth highest level of the seven. Usally my reps are in the 7th place because they tend to die quicker."

"Wait. So that intence feeling of death was your fault!?"

"Normally after sending the representatives off we never talk with them again. So in the result of pulling some strings, you had a minor spasm."

"Minor!? I thought I was dying!!"

"But you didn't."

"God damn it!" I shouted.

" Is their an actual reason that you brought me here?"

"A small one," he relaxed himself on his couch. "You're the only one of the seven who hasn't chosen a class."

"Oh that." I was just thinking that not to long ago.

"Well, picking a class wasn't my main priority this last month. Considering I wasn't even sure I'd still be alive!" I snapped.

"Thats true. However, I figure I would tell you what the others had chosen. To get your head in gear for what you're going to end up dealing with. Since a class can help you get a skill tree that isnt as random as it already has been."

"What are the other?"

"Starting from strongest to weakest this is what you're going to see" he pointer to his television screen.

Lv Class. Sin.

38 Elemental mage Gluttony

29 Pirate Greed

27 Assassin Pride

26 None Sloth

25 Infernal mage lust

25 Gardian Envy

20 Arma mage Wrath

Three mages, two rogue, and a tank. An almost average collection of classes form an rpg. Elemental and infernal seem straight forward, but what's Arma?

No I'll worry about that later. If I make the assumption that the magic users and the rouge types have long range attack skills. Then I should find a class to counter attacks, or boost up my defence. But with my stamina wouldn't last if I just blocked, and just because I could tank doesn't mean I handle all the shit they could throw at me.

Because of my curse, my staminia drops faster and cant rise higher then it already is. I could choose a magic class too, but my stat for magic is pretty bad for my level. Granted I could properly get a skill to influence that stat like 'brutalist' does for my strenght. But as far as im aware of nothing within a fighter, rouge, or magic class would work with my current stats or condition.

The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

"Seems that you're in a pickle."

"Yeah no shit."

As it stands I can tell that none of the classes they chose would an option for me. Im fast, but my stamina would burn out real quick if I over do it. My strength is awesome! But my defence is complete shit that I'm an even more fragile glass cannon.

"What classes would you consider a better option, with my stamina in mind?" I turned to sloth. "Im not asking for a super strong class. Im just asking for somthing that I can do."

"Hmmm" he grabbed a tv remote and pressed a button showing four of classes." Here use the remote to pick one for more info." Sloth handed me the remote as my eyes returned to the screen.

*Alchemists

*Bard

*Beast Tamer

*Illusionist

*priest

"A little more then I was expecting."

Illusionist and bard I'm already very aware of what I can do with them. Since bard can also create illusions too. But I dont have the body, skill, or charisma to handle a bard class.

Alchemists is just my synthesize skill with a title. Just poison and medicine mixes that I already can make because of my skill.

Priest is a healing class, but its power granted by god. From normal rpg's its fairly similar to dnds cleric. So im looking at limited spell uses. I can already make potions with the right ingredients.

Lets look at beast Tamer.

Beast Tamer: These lone wandering forest dwellers come from all backgrounds and cultures, seeking the mastery over vicious beasts to call a companion. Beast tamers can form a pack/contract after a fight with or willingness of the monster/creatures. Beast tamers are capable of choosing evolution paths for creatures who are contracted to them. If the creature and Tamer trusts are in synth it is possible for the Tamer to gain skills similar to the creature although mastery of said skills would be much weaker in comparison to the creatures skill, also if the creature were to die or seperate its contract from the tamer said skills would disappear.

So if I saw a wolf, I could fight it and I could be my friend. Or I could make it willingly join me and it would be my friend. Then after we become super best friends I could use some of the skills they have.

This sounds perfect!

"Sloth, I'm going to pick Beast Tamer! It seems then best choice."

He held back a laugh as he looked at me.

"What?"

"I'm just thinking about your track record of the animals you had during your child hood."

"S-shut up!"

"Just don't forget to feed them this time around," he teased.

"I won't! I got better since then! Like my cat Leo!"

"You mean the cat that ran away?"

"That wasn't my fault! Dad opened the door!"

"Anyway, good for you. You finally have a class." He gave me a petty applause.

"Just send me back. For all I know the Ice man is probably trying to sever my contract with Astrel while I'm unconscious."

"Shame. Here I was hoping we could chat a bit longer."

"...You're lonely," I teased with a cheeky smile.

"Not really. People Around me are just annoying and boring. You're the only thing thats kept me entertained so far."

"Wanna rephrase that?" I glared clenching my fist making it crack.

"No I'm good."

"...Send me back"

"Fine, fine." He stood up pointing looking at me raising his hand.

" Before you go I wanted to tell you to stay away from the church. As well as the representative of pride." His eyes glared seriously as he mentioned pride.

Pride? From the list before they're the third strongest, right above me. I mean that makes sense, but why specificly them? Then theres the Church, why do I have to stay away from that? Before I could ask, my body felt like it was falling.

Fast.
