The lichen achieved what had not been possible before, its hungry drove it to concentrate and refine the acid that it used to dissolve rock to one that used small amounts of chaos that flooded the node to etch the surface of the mote until the weakened surface failed the pressures of two competing systems. These systems had been attempting merge with the new life. A classic dungeon system and a complex and evolved life-based system both were driven to merge. In normal circumstances only one would have prevailed but in this node as first the dungeon system invaded followed almost instantly by the Life-based system a wave of chaos washed across the mote just as the two systems crashed and fought with the mote to control the structures of the mote. To survive the chaos both surrendered to the mote and before the wave reached its peak both systems were accepted by the outstanding amount of life that accumulated within the mote.

In seconds a new life form was born. As a result of the conflict a flare of heat was emitted and the lichen was crisped before it had been able to damage the dungeon. The node expanded to about a cubic meter in volume as a result the crack in the wall was further expanded now more than simple cells were able to reach into the node for the first time.
