Prologue

"Good lord, have mercy." The sound of blarring horns continue as the enemy attacks kept on happening, no one knows where it was coming from, but the invisible attack of the enemy is causing panic and mayhem in the battlefield.

The priest looked at her surroundings, full of gore and blood, comrades fallen, died miserablly, face sketched in misery, and their bodies torned apart like paper, it was a gut-screething sight. Even for her, a veteran priestess who had countless wars sat in her belt.

Before the fight begun, they encounter two monsters, one tall humanoid-type monster with a bloody rag covering its face, and a tiny humanoid-type monster with green complexion, the first monster was annomity, no one knows what it was, but the other one was easily guessed, it was a goblin, despite it wearing the same rag as that one. The moment they were about to purge the pagans, the two disappeared like smoke, and thats when the slaughter begun.

Her eyes looked for the scource of the attack, in the far end of the room? Are they inside a crack on the wall, chanting spells to their location? She doesn't know, as she kept looking everywhere around her, causing her more distress as she saw her people die by the invisible hands of the enemy. Throats were slit by an invisible force, eyes were gouge to prevent seeing what ever it is, tongue taken to implant fear and more panic, the more disorder they are, the more easily this battle will be won, the enemy and the priestess were thinking the same thing, as they both did their own thing to fight each other. One shouted orders to keep the disorder at order, one keep on slicing and breaking the orderly group. It was a fight that is unending as the time goes on, five thousand high-leveled Ascendors is being massacred by two monsters, with one being a goblin on top of that.

When she was becoming exhausted from using her mana to look at everywhere, she finally saw a glimmer of the assailant, it was a brief moment but she saw the monster turning transparent, and emerging out from a comrade's back as a totally different being, a human with red eyes. It then slice the woman who was shocked to see her friend alive after seeing that friend fall from the enemy.

Shocked at the revelations, she immediately shouted orders and revealed the enemy. With an order given, one that is shouted louder than they ever heard from their commander, the group instantouesly acted upon on which the information given, and surrounded the man with red eyes. They formed a shield wall, coming out from the gaps were razor-sharp spears.

However, as if this were to always happen, the monster just snickered, and disappeared once more. The sound of silence donned the audience, not even the sound of rocks being moved were heard, as the army were still like stone, however, their subperv stillness was their downfall, as a massive magic circle appeared before their feet, covering them whole. The priestess cried out, chanting up a skill that will take time to ever used again, as she formed up a massive barrier to fight whatever attack was coming. A second passes, seven, nine, eleven, a whole minute passes by, the magic circle was still there, but the attack is not coming.

Confused, the priestess spotted the shapeshifting monster outside the barrier, alongside with the goblin, holding a staff. It spoke in a capricious tone, "Haha... It always work, doesn't it Goblin?" The goblin squinted its eyes, its large nose moving like a floppy stick, as it responded with a glee, "Kekekeeke! Always! Works! Idiots humans always fall at our false attack! Wasting precious skills!" At this point, the priestess realized that they have been had, as she was too terrified at the outcome of this battle, she collapsed on the floor, the barrier breaking into pieces.

"No more mana huh? Pretty gal, you should'nt have gone into this parts, and most importantly, you guys should'nt have slayed our kin." The tall monster used it powers to smile in its raggy mask, mocking the priestess entirely. "Time to say hello to your maker." As the last ding was heard, the false attack shattered, emerging out of it was another magic circle, but this one was red, and what emits from it was an evil aura that colud match the devil itself, and it was no doubt a powerful one. As pillars of fire emerged, forming a wall of fire. "Become crispy and delicious for our kin to eat. This is karma served cold." The priestess wasn't listening anymore, she was just standing there emotionlessly.

However, she soon screamed in pain, her cries blended well to the infernal hell of the others, her comrades, true to their core and will, "Share one's pain, and struggle as one, then success is found.".

Admiring their work, the two monsters looked at each other. "We have come a long way huh, isn't this nice my friend?" On which, the goblin responded, "Yeah!! We have come long, from misarable slaves to chieftans to our home! Hip-hip hooraY TO us!" The two laughed, one that is gentle-like, and the other laughing witch-like.
