Meteor shower continued, and various world governments tried different things. Some tried to capture all superhumans, and some attempted to employ superhumans. Some declared discrimination against superhumans is illegal and acted like nothing happened.

Mehmet days and nights turned into a pursuit. Mehmet wanted his own superpowers. He joined many dark-web forums about superpowers. As long as the meteor shower continued, new superpowers appeared. When day four came, and the meteor shower stopped, superpowers stopped appearing.

Mehmet was unlucky; he didn't have a superpower, but he didn't give up. Everybody on the planet was affected by meteors. Everybody was a little bit stronger, a little bit faster. That meant the meteor affected everybody, but only some people became full superhumans. Most just become five percent stronger.

Mehmet calculated there had to be a way of absorbing some meteor particles. That way, he might have got some superpowers, but all the meteor parts were collected by governments.

In Turkey government has a rule of registering superhumans. As long as they got registered and were not involved in any crime, they could continue life as normal.

Despite the best effort of the government, most superhumans did not registered. They preferred to be hidden. If Mehmet had powers, he would not get registered too. For now, the government did nothing to superpowered people, but who knows what would happen in time.

The thing that would happen happened on day five after the start of the meteor shower. A young man madly in love with a girl opened up to his target of affection. But the girl did not feel the same way. He got angry and lost all control. If he was a normal guy, things would have ended with him getting into a fight and getting beaten. But he was a super, later classified as a tier three super. He started rampaging, and when finally he got killed with a rocket launcher, he killed over three hundred people, including fifty cops and soldiers.

After that day superhuman tier list was made, the list went like this:

One in a thousand people gained tier-one powers, which meant powers made you as powerful as a person with a gun. One in the ten thousand people became tier two, which meant you needed 5 swat police armed with submachine guns to deal with that person. One in a hundred thousand became tier three, which made you as strong as a main battle tank. One in a million became tier four and became as strong as an infantry battalion. Earth governments fear the possible appearance of a tier-five superhuman, a person so strong the only option of dealing with him is a nuke.

Mehmet subscribed to the idea of energy collection, which meant superpowers were the result of the energy in meteors. People who, for whatever reason, get affected by the energy more become superhuman. The more you are affected, the more powerful you become.

So Mehmet thought about xianxia novels he read on the internet. If the energy of the meteors were around, he could have some methods to gather that energy into himself.

He started meditating. The first day, he felt nothing, but the next day he felt the energy getting inside of him. He continued to cultivate like a xianxia character.

Days go by because of the Loverboy incident (that's what that massacre was called). Any unregistered superhuman gets arrested on the spot. While Mehmet cultivating government started a superhero program with registered superhumans. The main hero of the city Mehmet lived in was a tier three guy with electric powers called Shocker.

Mehmet normally didn't like school, but nowadays, he hated it. Because he was after superpowers, and school took time from his endeavor.

In class, girls led by Merve were mocking Selma, a girl whose only fault was being ugly. Mehmet wished to do something, but he wasn't going to use violence against girls. He just mumbled, "That bitch doesn't get her lesson." At that moment, he noticed Hatice doing something with her hands. And Merve started shouting, "I am burning, I am burning." There was no fire. Hatice just used heat control to give a burning feeling to Merve. Mehmet just gathered two plus two and understood Hatice did this, and more importantly, Hatice is the one who burned Merve's house.

As Mehmet expected that afternoon, police came to school with the Shocker. First, they interrogated and examined the girl Hatice attacked. Then they questioned anyone in the class when the incident happened. When Mehmet's turn came, he was right before the Shocker. Instead of a silly costume, Shocker was in a police uniform. He was a cop before the meteor incident, so when the government started registering supers, he voluntarily registered and cooperated with the government. He was among the first to be selected when their superhero program began. His being also quite powerful in the superhero ranking tests becomes icing on the cake.

He asked Mehmet, "Did you see what happened?" Mehmet said, "Merve suddenly started crying. "I am burning, I am burning." later the day, you guys come here. I assume you suspect a superhuman did something. Otherwise, I don't think you would be here." Shocker said, "Smart boy," and let Mehmet go.

Then questioning turn came to Hatice. Mehmet really didn't want Hatice to be found out. He wanted to know a superhuman he could access for many things, for starters, questions.

Shocker asked Hatice, "What happened?" Hatice looked tense. Mehmet from inside said, "Cool down, girl, you are going to ruin everything," Hatice said, "Merve suddenly started to say, "I am burning, I am burning" I don't know why." Shocker, as usual for cops, started probing, "Didn't you notice anything?" Hatice said tensely, "I didn't know why you were asking me. I saw nothing." Shocker got the wrong idea. He is taught that she is scared of someone. He was right. She was afraid of him. But Shocker said, "You don't need to worry. I am here. If you notice something, you can tell me without hesitation that I am here to protect you."

Hatice said, "I told you, I saw nothing. Now go away." Shocker said, "Calm down. I am here. Nobody can hurt you." Hatice lost her cool, and suddenly a fireball hit the Shocker. Mehmet grabbed Kamil and started to run, he would have liked to watch the battle, but he had no intention of becoming collateral damage. So he runs.

While running, Shocker charged up his hands and blasted Hatice with a shock. After the attack, Hatice raised up fast, and other cops started to open fire on her. All the students began to run away.

Hatice looked at the bullet wounds on her. Bullets didn't penetrate much, her body had become tougher, and she became stronger after the meteor shower.

She just looked at the Socker and trowed a fireball. While Shocker dogging the fireball, she ran toward the window and jumped. She blasted through the window and landed in the schoolyard. She started to escape.
