Hotaru wakes upon a sunny morning. “Ughhhh……..” Hotaru groans while getting blinded by the light. He slowly looks around as he wakes himself up. A large room with a desk and chair and wardrobe. “Oh yeah I live in this world now.” Hotaru says as he tries to recollect while slightly confused. A knock is heard on the door.
A voice breaks the silent the morning. “Sir Hotaru, I’m going inside.” The door slowly opens. “Ailbe, Good morning!” Hotaru greets Ailbe. “Good morning, Sir Hotaru. You have get up, you have to go the university today.” She timidly says pulling the sheets out of his bed. “This early its 5AM. I thought this is school is for the aristocracy?” Hotaru asks while pulling back the sheets. “It is one but schools start do start early Sir Hotaru.” Ailbe retorts. Ailbe pulls Hotaru out the bed. “You’re going to get up already!” Ailbe timidly says. “Wait! I’ll get up already.” Hotaru worryingly says. “No, you are taking bath and eating breakfast!” Ailbe angrily answers. “Katherine could you help me with Sir Hotaru?” Ailbe asks her.
After that fiasco Hotaru sits at the dining table eating breakfast. “You didn’t have to do that.” Hotaru says pouting. “I didn’t have a choice Sir Hotaru, You won’t get up.” Ailbe stubbornly says. A maid walks to Ailbe and whispers some words to her. “Oh that I’ll do that now. Call the others.” Ailbe says. The maid goes back to the kitchen. “What was that?” Hotaru asks. “Sir Hotaru, I’ve to introduce you to the staff.”
Ailbe says while eating a toasted bread with jam. The kitchen door opens as a group of staff goes in the room. “This is the staff for the estate.” Ailbe explains. “This is Katherine the Head Maid and the Steward for the estate; this is Emma the head of the laundry; This is Klara the head of cleaning and this is Lily the head of gardening.” The maids say in the in same time. “It’s nice to meet you Sir Hotaru!” “It’s a pleasure to meet you as well.” Hotaru calmly replies.
“Next is the other staff. This is John and Connor the chefs and this Fredrick and Angelo the chauffeurs.” “Sir, it’s nice to meet you.” They say in collectively. “It’s nice to meet you all! I’m Kazuya Hotaru.” Hotaru retorts. “It would be rude of me to interrupt but you’re finished with your breakfast Sir Hotaru.”
Ailbe asks. “Yes, I’m finished. Why do you ask?” Hotaru says. “Then we should get going then.” As they stand up from their chairs; Katherine escorts the pair outside the manor.
In the driveway one of the carriages and a chauffeur is waiting for them. They go inside the carriage, as the carriage moves Ailbe looks at Hotaru.
“Sir Hotaru your tie is not tied properly!” Ailbe adds while fixing Hotaru’s clothes. “Ailbe you don’t have to do that!” Hotaru says while getting flustered. “Sir, You don’t have to worry about anything this my job.” Ailbe reassures Hotaru.
As their conversation ends, The carriage stops and a man opens the carriage door. It reveals a stunning work of architecture. A university built of brick, glass and steel, A building marked of progress and wealth. Luther University, The most prestigious school in the country.
Both Ailbe and Hotaru steps out the carriage as a man approaches. “Ailbe it is nice to meet you again!” As he hugged Ailbe with excitement. “Professor it has been awhile.” As she greets the man happily. “Hotaru, This is Professor Francis Campolini. The head of the Legal department of the university.” Ailbe formally introduces the both of them. “Professor it’s nice to meet you.” Hotaru says while shaking his hands. “It’s also too.”
“Now that we’ve introduced each other.” I should take my leave then. Ailbe says while patting the back of Hotaru. “I see then, Well…… See you then.” Campolini says while he mutters under his breathe. “AILBE WHY DID YOU HAVE TO LEAVE WITH THIS GUY I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT TO DO! You fool!”
As the carriage pulls away from sight an awkward silence fills the two men as they try to create a conversation. “So, What do you think about the university?” An awkward Campolini asks. Even before Hotaru can give an answer. A voice shatters the ice in-between the two men. “Professor what are doing here?” A female voice asks. The Professor’s silence turns into in a confident gentleman. “Anne! You just came at the right time.” An excited Professor says. He continues by saying “Anne could you help with this problem I have?” “Ailbe dropped off him, The future minister of the economy. Could you lend he a hand in this, I beg of you.” He pleads to her. “Alright, I’ll do this for Ailbe.” She says to a begging Campolini.

She introduces herself to Hotaru. “So I’m Anne Smith the head researcher of the Magical Studies department of the university.” Hotaru introduces himself likewise. “I’m Kazuya Hotaru, It’s a pleasure to meet you likewise then.” “I do have a question for you.” Anne replies. “Sure go ahead.” Hotaru casually answers. “What do you and Ailbe have to do with each other?” Anne asks with interest. “She is my translator and assistant.” He answers in a curious tone. “I see then.” She replies while having question within herself. “I think we should show you around?” The professor quietly adds. Both turn to him and nod in agreement. “I think we should then.” Anne agrees. “I do too.” Hotaru agrees to the both of them. “Shall we start then.” The professor ends.
A carriage stops in front of a large building. Two guards open the door of the carriage and a woman disembarks. “Miss Wilburg; Sir Karlsen is waiting for you.” A guard says to her. “I know and let me in.” Ailbe says to the lowly guard. The two large front doors of the building are opened and she is ushered into an office. “Ailbe, we meet again.” A man greets her. “We do meet again Friedrich.” Ailbe apathetically greets him. “So how’s Kazuya doing? Is he doing good progress?” Friedrich asks while pouring whiskey into glass. “Do you want some?” He asks if she wanted any. “No thanks.” Ailbe declines politely. “He doing great progress.” She says the situation of Hotaru. “Good; He must do learn quickly.” Friedrich says as he light a cigar.
“Friedrich. I know this is crucial but it be hard rush him.” Ailbe sternly explains. “We can’t do much if it takes much time. Friedrich we shouldn’t have put all our hopes on this single person that we transported from another world. She added.
“AILBE DO YOU NOT REALIZE OUR FUCKING SITUATION!!” Friedrich outburst into shouting. “AFTER THE REVOLT OF 1834 THE ENTIRE GOVERNMENT IN IS A STANDSTILL!” Friedrich continues. “NATIONALISTS AND DEMOCRATS ARE READY TO KILL THE GOVERNMENTS AT ANY MOMENT!!”Friedrich further adds. “THE DEADLINE FOR THE CONSTITUTION IS IN 6 MONTHS; WE DON’T HAVE THE TIME OR THE RESOURCES.” Friedrich shouts and cries.
“Ailbe. He is our only hope for this county to survive until the next decade....”Friedrich silently says while on the verge of tears. “Ailbe; Can you please leave. I have to collect my thoughts….”He says while he drinks a bottle of whiskey. “Understood; Thanks for the invitation.” A shaken and mortified Ailbe leave the drunk man alone.
“Fucking--- Kazu--ya Hotaru………. D-O Not FAI—L us……….”A drunk man says until he passes out.
“Everyone please settle down!” As people crowed and shuffle in a full lecture hall. “Please settle down!” Kazuya sits down in a seat. A woman writes in a large chalkboard. She writes M-A-G-I-C-1-0-1 in order. “Hello! I am Doctor Anne Smith. The Head Researcher of Magical Studies in Leuthar University and this is Magical Basics.” She shouts to the entire lecture hall. “As you know Magic is considered a mystical power only present in books and stories but that isn’t the case as the prowess of modern technology have destroyed this belief.” She explains.
“This discovery have changed the scientific discovery have shattered all knowledge that have we gained in centuries as the stories of the old are and how these unknown forces have changed this world.” The doctor further explains.
“As you can see from my desk is a crystal.” She shows to the hall. “This is a crystal that has latent magical energy.” The Doctor says while whispers and muttering is heard thru out the lecture hall. “I will now demonstrate its power.” She announces while getting a bowl of water. “Magic has different than regular objects or minerals. This is why if you put this crystal in water--”She explains as the water turn into a glowing mass with a purplish color. The entire erupts in applause and shocks as the demonstration shocks even the most rational individual.
“This is not only known property of magic; As if you activate a crystal using water it will levitate.” The Doctor demonstrates. A crystal levitate into the air and shines a bright but beautiful light across the hall. A loud applause is given around the room. “Thank you everyone for joining this demonstration!” She proudly declares. As everyone leaves the lecture hall Hotaru stays.
“Doctor that was an amazing lecture!” Hotaru happily congratulates Anne. “I do not need any praise for that Hotaru!” She replies as she comes to him. “Hotaru; I think we should go back to our conversation before?” She asks him politely.
“Ok sure then.” Hotaru happily answers. “What is your relation t-“Even before Anne could finish her question a familiar voice penetrates the room. “Hotaru and Anne! Ailbe greets the pair while coming down to the chairs. “Ailbe! How has it been?” Anne greets Ailbe. “Anne. I know that we haven’t talked much recently but I swear I’ll find the time.” Ailbe promises to her closest friends. “You don’t have to do that. I know that you’re that busy.” “Anne assures Ailbe as she hugged her. “Really!” Ailbe says as her face lit with happiness and glee. “Yes it is.” Anne says she pets her head. “If that’s the case then. I and Hotaru leave already.” Ailbe says to her close friend. “Hotaru we’re leaving!” She says to Hotaru. “Have a nice day then Professor.” He says as a farewell to the Professor.”
“There’s something happening and I don’t know what will happen.” Anne says under breathe while Ailbe and Hotaru leave the lecture hall.
