This stupid talk-to-text shit! I’ve restarted this thing like five times, and it won’t keep up! I’m so mad, I could break something—Don’t be that thing, stupid phone!
You keepin’ up now?! Stupid thing.
Well, today didn't go the way I thought it was going to… Bri must have been seeking revenge for the pain I put her through the first day we met; I say that because I feel like my head is about to explode from all the information she just exposed me to.
The college students we went to feed weren't in arena sized classrooms or cozy, historic libraries like you see in the movies… No, they were actually setting up tents on the lawn.
I found out it was some sort of educational awareness thing. I asked Bri what that meant and she told me to “ask them, but really listen to what they have to say”… Well, that's what I did.
At first, I’ll admit, I didn't understand a thing. I had no idea what they were talking about, but as I listened, I began to learn… And as I learned, the more my heart ached and my stomach hurt.
A heavy pain in my chest began to weigh down my entire body… Like I was carrying an invisible boulder on my back. It was something I had never experienced before, and I'm very familiar with death and the kind of sadness that brings.
This is different… This feels like hopelessness, betrayal, and shame all balled into one. What’s even worse is that I’ve been ignorant to it this whole time… I… I feel so stupid!
How?! How didn't I know what’s going on?! In my own world! Why is it quiet? No one’s talking… And, it's happening right now as we speak?! What the fu—
Hey… Can… Can we talk?
You seem upset.
Well, yeah, I’m upset! Why did you take me there, Bri?
It’s part of the job. It’s my job… to listen.
Listen! Just listen?!

So you heard them then… Right?! You admit! You listened.
Yes, I listened, among other things…
So you heard them talk about the deaths of thousands, the killing, the murder! People have been stripped of their homes, Bri! Their voices! They’re starving…
I know…
…And, I’ve been starving to pay for it?!
Yes
Then why did we leave?! Why aren’t we down there? We should have stayed and helped! We could have been a voice. Instead, we’re here, doing what?... Sleeping for days?!
I couldn’t… I couldn’t stay any longer.
What?! What does that even mean? Why would you take me there knowing that you couldn’t stay long enough to make a difference—Are you sick or something?
Well…
That’s something I should know, don’t you think? You hired me!
It’s not…
I don’t understand! What is the point of all this? You go to places like that and the shelter, you bring food, then get extremely exhausted… What is happening?
Please, don't get upset…
Don't get upset?! How can I not be? That's what I don't understand. You say it’s your job to listen. To Listen?! What are you even talking about? Do you know how ridiculous that sounds?
I couldn’t stay…
That’s enough with all the cryptic shit! I want to know what’s going on! If you don’t tell me, then I’m…
NO!… Stop… Stay there.
Wha… What is that? What's going on? Bri?! What are you doing? The… the ground is shaking… Bri!
I can’t…
Bri, are… are you doing that?! Wha… What is that light? Bri, stop…
I couldn’t…
What’s wrong?!
Don’t!
Let me help you!
DON’T… Don’t… You’re upset… You shouldn't touch me!
YOU NEED HELP!
DON’T TOUCH ME!
Bri… Bri! SOMEBODY, PLEASE… HELP!
I’m sorry…
