Prologue: part 1 (the start)

Prologue: part 1 (the start)

[its-a-me.... FlashPIX] tell me if there are any errors in this piece and if i can make it easier to read or more enjoyable.

Though constructive feedback would be nice I've been on the internet to know better, well that or maybe the internet makes everyone sound like a d*ck, but in any case here is the prologue of the true protagonist!!! Enjoy! (or else)

note: I've edited the chapter and changed a few things

- more smaller paragraphs instead of big bulky behemoths

- changed some of the sentences, overall plot is the same but the sentences are hopefully easier to understand

Tell me if i can improve this chapter.

Chapter 2 should hopefully come out by tomorrow and i plan on proof reading it before posting this time.

Nearly a half a trillion years after the creation of the first universe, life began to grow and evolve, from semi sentient beings barely able to create tools and use their minds for complicated tasks to now; beings with full sentience and a thirst for growth in power and knowledge.

Having reached the age of Kingdoms and Empires, magic and technology had advanced to different degrees on each planet. Planets that were closer to the centre of the energy explosion that was used to make universes had developed mana, an invisible substance that some lifeforms had adapted to.

Using this mana the sentient beings and even some semi-sentient beings were able to create and manipulate aspects of their worlds, such the elements, space and even time. So in other words… these worlds had the capacity for magic! But for those worlds which were formed furthest from the centre had no mana and so they developed differently by manipulating the laws of the world to create technology which helped them survive and make life in general, easier for them.

Now which of these worlds are we going to explore……………..hmmm?

Why a magical one of course!!!

I mean why would we talk about a world from the outer rim (we already live in one after all!)

So in particular we are going into the world of Argarin the 39,123,782nd world ever made, but even more specifically we are going to talk a certain person who will live an extraordinary life unlike any other before her, and here is where it begins.

Location:

Universe #39,123,782

Planet: Argarin

Country: Empire of Melthilios

Specific place: the Empirical Courtyard

In the empirical courtyard where the Emperor's personal guards were supposed to be training ever diligently, there was a crowd of nobles and high ranking soldiers sitting in a stadium, cheering and watching with excitement etched on each of their faces. On the stage in stadium was one woman facing off against four warriors who had their weapons unsheathed.

The woman facing those 4, had a cold fire burning in her eyes showing her determination, she could be described in one word, beautiful, her skin though lightly tanned from spending so much time outside had glow of health and radiance; her hair a reddish brown colour was evenly trimmed at the fringe, her hair would have been very long and perfectly straight if not for the fact that it was intentionally curled in large spirals hanging on her back and chest (which was quiet big, at least an E cup). Her body though hidden behind her clothes was muscular but not overly so, she had a defined six pack, while her arms were showing some muscle definition, her legs looked mostly like a normal noble ladies legs but this could be said to caused by her special training and were in no way weak. Her face was smooth and without blemish while surprisingly feminine with an oval shape, with a slightly pointed chin. Her eyes were a light blue (think the hitman games' agent 47) which gave the impression of someone cold and  calculating, which when she was not fighting showed indifference. She wore a bright red soldier's uniform with golden highlights (think British guards) and more decorations and metals than a normal soldier showing her high rank, and pitch black pants and shoes.

She was a famous celebrity in this Empire, born to the high noble family the 'Nevellians', Aaliyah Belle-Claire Nevellian was a unrivalled, genius swordsman and tactician, who was also extremely sensitive to mana and hence was considered a mana emperor level magic user, she was both creative and extremely diligent; to the point where she could be considered obsessed. Not only was she unrivalled in combat, she also studied mathematics, politics, science, languages, culture, history, etiquette and psychology and could be considered to have reached a level of understanding in each topic which had surpassed her countrymen by far. She partaken in multiple war campaigns and social reforms which have not only saved but helped raise the Empire of Melthilios to new heights, and she was not even 20 yet. How could she do all of this you may ask? Well in truth Aaliyah Belle-Claire Nevellian was in fact…

A person who had undergone reincarnation, remembering everything in her past life!!!

NOT!!! Lel! If you want to know why she is like that well you got to ask her yourself!

Aaliyah pov

I was facing 4 men who could be considered the strongest warriors in the empire, the air was especially hot and humid today yet I did not sweat. I was perfectly calm and collected as I looked at the 4 well built men in front of me, though they were clothed I knew that their muscles were all trained specifically for combat, non of them had any unneeded fat and they had gone through countless battles to protect the peace of the empire's citizens and had been the reason for the Empire's military success by winning many wars.

Yet I was not worried, I had let my emotions ebb away and only focused on the fight to come, on my opponents, this was something I achieved through years of hard work and countless life or death situations and was all due to my creed which I developed in my childhood, "To control your fate you must control your surroundings, to control your surroundings you must control the people around you, to control the people around you, you must control yourself!" I whispered to myself as I noticed my opponents lightly tensing, indicating that they were going to attack.

Suddenly a bald man covered in scars with brown sideburns charged with his sword drawn aiming for my chest, his name was Lord Garold Von Keeldersien a general in the Emperor's army; a master swordsman and warrior, but I only had to lightly sway to the side to dodge, dodging his pure speed and strength slash with my agility and reaction time, no wasted movement at all, while his sword missed me I then pounce straight at the general.

He quickly recovers and jumps back allowing two others to attack me from both right and left sides. I quickly duck low and continue forward under their swords while still aiming for Lord Garold, when suddenly another sword comes into view on my left as another swordsman named Cross Heinz swung his sword downwards aiming for my shoulder.

But I was expecting it, he always did like to wait and look for an opening. As his sword swings down I tilt to my right; allowing my body to fall lower to my right just missing the tip of his sword as I continue towards my target, Lord Garold. This flusters lord Garold as he hastily brings up his sword to defend but that was a mistake, as it allowed me to take advantage of his stance which was no longer steady… which was all I needed.

With a kick to ground I propel myself closer to the general while grabbing onto his hand with one of my own, while using my other hand to push his elbow upwards; this moves his sword to his left (my right) when I quickly grab his wrist and pulled it while pushing his elbow in one smooth motion, effectively breaking his arm at the elbow, but I don't let him feel the pain as I quickly and smoothly use the hand that was holding his wrist to palm his chin while my other hand pushed his now useless arm away. While doing this I had wrapped my leg around the back of  his own which allowed me to push him to the ground and as he was falling I made sure to put force on his head making sure it was the first thing to hit the ground thus putting him unconscious, I had defeated one of the strongest warriors in the empire in under 15 seconds but I didn't stop there as I quickly charged my other opponents while they still in shock and took them out.

The fight had lasted for 3 minutes, not because I was overwhelmingly strong but because I was prepared and they had underestimated me, even with my fame I was still less than 20 years old, though if I had failed in my early assault I would have most definitely lost, the odds were always against me.

After the fight, I sat in a hallway barely lit by the candles as I wiped sweat off my brow from the fight. The cold and dank stone hallways made me feel nostalgic, you could say it had once represented my future, dank, cold and dark.

I was born to the master of the house 'Nosferatus Nevellian' who had taken my mother, lady Olivia of house Beelvillien as his eighth wife, he had seen her once at her father's banquet when he had supposedly fallen in love with her, personally I think he had fallen in lust with her as right now he barely ever looks at her, he only ever sees her when he is looking for me and that’s only because of my reputation. My family though lacking in familial bonds was not lacking in monetary and political power as we were one of the most powerful families in the Empire and had close ties to the emperor.

When I was young, I was loved by my mother and was taken care of by the nurses and servants in my mother's estate, though I never saw my father, I was happy as I had considered all the servants as family and had gone out to play with their kids from time to time until I had reached my 6th birthday when my mother and I were invited to the main house to meet my father.

At first I was excited and had miss the pain in my mother's eyes but when I had arrived and met my father, though I was young, I had realised how little we meant to him, and not just him but to all my other half-siblings and their mothers; all the way to the 12th wife.

He had lined us up and told us our fates, to my half-brothers, they would be taken to train as soldiers for the Emperor's army as for my half-sisters, they were, one by one promised to arranged marriages to other nobles to increase our political power and connections, when it was my turn I was also promised to a middle class noble who I had never met but my mother had protested as she said that my father had promised that I could marry anyone I choose, but all that had done was to earn the ire of the rest of the house and as my father refused her she had broken down and cried in front of everyone.

I had felt sadder and angrier than I had ever felt before at the way we were being treated but at the same time, I am ashamed to say, as I looked at my mother, I thought she looked pathetic to me, though she loved me dearly, all she could do was cry and let someone else decide her fate and the fate of her only daughter. It was then and there I decided that I would change my fate and I would let no one control it but me. A cold determined fire was born in me that day and my innocence was burnt away in its wake.

When we returned home, I had become resolute in changing my fate, I had realised that though the boys were forced to become soldiers they were given more freedom than us girls, though this may be due to my ignorance and youth I had decided that I would become like a man and study what they did. Hence I had dropped my lessons in becoming a lady to learning mathematics, swordsmanship, strategy and tactics, politics and more. This had caused a rift between me and my mother as we had clashed in ideals as she had wanted me to be a lady like her but I knew that women like that were only tools and trophies for the men of nobility hence I'll become more like a man and make my own fate.

Since then, I had gone to libraries, teaching myself what my tutors would not. I would train in the morning till the sun went down with a sword and made sure to listen to any rumours and news from the Court to obtain an understanding of the backstabbing world of politics and on a side note I had started observing the people in my surrounding; studying what made them tick and why they did what they did, though I can't say I know everything about people, I could manipulate them fairly easily and it was with that I learnt to control my surroundings by controlling the people around me. This was good enough for a time until I reached my 10th year.

I had met with some training elite guards and had asked them to spar with me, naturally they ended up laughing and some of them had even fell on the floor. One of them had told me that fighting should be left to the men and in my anger I had insulted him (I think I called him a ball-less, balding bastard), this I think was one of my biggest mistakes  but also the beginning of me being able to control my fate. He had of course become infuriated and had fought me, though I had trained a lot in those years I was up against someone who was called an elite guard; a full grown man with muscles forged from battle and someone who had surpassed my experience in combat by far. Naturally I was beaten, but that was not all.

Though the guard had beaten me he had assumed I was a nobody due to my worn out clothes and so had started harassing me by ripping my shirt revealing my already budding breasts. Trying to cover myself but to no avail as he had pushed me to the ground holding my arms down. As he was about to molest me, my mother had ran up towards us and had intervene. Naming me as a daughter of lord Nevellian and herself as one of his wives she had managed to make him pause but as was both an arrogant noble, he was still angry and in his rage had decided to attack us. Luckily his friends had manage to calm him down. Though he had nearly sexually assaulted me, he was only punished to 2 weeks of toilet and managing equipment duty, but I didn’t really care as I was mortified by how easily I lost and for the next 3 nights I had cried myself to asleep after seeing how little my current training achieved.

I had felt so pathetic that I had let myself lose like that and decided that I would not let my emotions get the better of me. Thus I learnt to control myself so that I may control the people around me, so I can control my surroundings and thus control my fate.

After that event I spent the next year learning to repress my emotions but had realised that it would only end up bottling up so I stopped, and instead learnt to let my emotions dull themselves and enter a state of calm in my mind; thinking about only the things that mattered with a cool and logical perspective.

After thinking about it logically, I had realised where I had erred. Though I was training hard, harder than most, others were training just as hard and so, to beat them I needed to train even harder than that and push myself to my absolute limits and use everything I can to win, thus it became a true absolute obsession of mine to become strong. It was then I started learning about the body and with that I devised a new training regime.

I realised that though I was training hard, I wasn’t doing it effectively, It was fact that I was physically weaker than most men or at least what they have potential to be and someone trained could beat me when it came to just physical strength, so I had to find a style that wouldn’t emphasise strength but use the things I excelled at, but unfortunately that was not possible as all martial styles recorded in the libraries were for men, as weak men were weeded out and left as servants and women weren't allowed to fight at all.

So in the end I had decided to make my own style focusing on my strengths and for approximately one year, I had trained hard enough to cough up blood. The healers were a normal sight now in our estate and this had my mother distraught, but she did not stop me as she knew why I was doing this; in all honesty I felt terrible for making her worry but I felt like I didn’t have a choice... no ... I knew that I didn’t have a choice if I wanted to change my fate.

After turning 11 I had decided I needed actual experience in battle if I wanted to become stronger so I had decided to get used to killing. Luckily our estate was near an ancient forest that was filled with wild animals and mana beasts, so one day I went into the forest. In there I knew that I shouldn't be noisy and run around carelessly; all thanks to studying strategy and reading about how strong mana beasts could be, and also because of my fight with that guard.

Instead I stealthily moved around while observing the creatures, and as I saw them hunt, forage, move and live, I learnt that in a fight where your life is on the line, you only have two choices… survive or die, kill or be killed, do anything and everything you can to kill the opponent in front of you or end up a corpse, if the opponent is overwhelmingly strong that it loo to be impossible for you to kill it, then you must do the impossible and kill it because you have no other choice. From that moment  on, till now and probably further into the future, the concept of defeat was erased in my mind, only winning, surviving and killing were my options.

But due to my lack of experience a wild animal had snuck up on me, if not for it snapping a twig I would have probably died, but it did so I managed to turn around and dodge in time.

I prepared my sword and was ready to kill the opponent in front of me.
