maddened Sha

maddened Sha

Heaven and earth shudder profusely,

Under the mighty roar of a thousand dragons.

A hundred thousand gods trample the earth

And what they leave behind is death.

The city of a billion names had become quiet. Many have fled after the initial declaration of war, others had decided to safe themselves after the extensive purge amongst the human gods. Hundreds of gods had died within only a few days. As response millions of beings, especially the weaker ones fled the city and took cover in other small realms that were scattered across the world.

Even the other major races, the white foxes, the elves and the giants went into hiding, their gods remaining inside their tightly sealed strongholds.

No one wanted to get involved into this massive storm that was quickly approaching the city and even those who were adventurous to try were quickly silenced by the crowd as they feared to be implicated with them.

There has not been an event like this is over three thousand years and many, especially the young and brave amongst the races were exited over a battle of such proportions. Despite their eagerness to join this insane battle they were stopped by the elder generations who still vividly remembered the last time the human faction had experienced a civil war.

Blood had filled the streets and turned them into rivers, mountains of corpses as tall as the skyscrapers of the city lined the destroyed streets. Thousands of gods had died and yet a million more was ready to battle, to kill and lose their lives.

It was this seemingly unending stream of gods that had shocked the other races and for the first time make them realize the deep foundation of the human race- the reason why even their mortal offspring was able to reign supreme on the planet for so long.

Now three thousand years later the human race had once again stepped onto the mainstage of the magical world and drums of war thundered for everyone to hear. The only thing these people could rejoice over was that humanity had never acted against them!

At the same time the Daoist faction, the Magi and the remaining human gods under the lead of the lady of the council gathered and had started their counter attacks against Mr. Sherevile’s and the sleeping lady’s offensives. Due to that the count of causalities came to an halt and the fierce ambushes on both sides cooled off.

For the time being both sides had reached an equilibrium and the city returned to the illusion of peace. Even so everyone knew that this brief moment of quiet was only the silence before the storm. Both factions were rapidly gathering their forces for the deciding battle.

At this time a single white haired young man walked towards the head quarter of the human council, the tall skyscraper that resembled the empire state building. A bizarre expression played on his face, a mix of graveness and anticipation with a hint of bone-chilling madness.

He walked onto the completely empty square surrounding the skyscraper and continued until he had reached the center of it, only a few dozen meters away from the massive iron portal that represented many thousand years of human glory.

“OLD HAG GET DOWN HERE!”, his voice towered up to the sky, the words he spoke rocked the earth and made those who heard them shiver in fear. It wasn’t fear of the person who spoke them, but fear of the person who they were provoking.

Hundreds of beings silently monitoring the square cursed loudly as they hastily fled their position. None of them wanted to remain there when the lady of the council came to destroy that trifling fox. It was already bad enough that an insignificant being like him came here, but why did he have to disrupt the calm and provoke the lion?

Sha noticed all those retreating beings, but he did not care about them. In his eyes there were nothing but scared bugs, running at the first sight of trouble. His eyes were pinned to the iron gates. Nothing mattered but the person who would come out of them next.

He stared and waited. His eyes started to turn red as he became more and more furious. His expression fell, and he became pale.

There was no response.

Sha almost went insane, his eyes bulged, and his body tensed up. Unimaginable fury rose from the depts of his soul and polluted his mind.

“HAHAHAHAHA”, he suddenly started to laugh hysterically.

“SO YOU ARE EVEN TO AFRAID TO RESPOND HA?”, madness twisted his voice as it reached the sky.

“YOU FUCKING BITCH WERE BORN BY A SLUT AND YOUR ANCHESTORS WERE ALL CUCUMBERS THAT SOMEONE SHAT ON AND GAVE BIRTH TO YOU!

EVEN YOUR OWN PARENTS DID NOT WANT A PIECE OF SHIT LIKE YOU AND THREW YOU INTO THE LATRINE, SO YOU CAN BE WITH YOUR OWN KIND. WHY DID YOU CRAWL OUT AND BEHAVE AS IF YOU WERE A REAL HUMAN?!”

Sha continued his abusive language and more and more absurd insults echoed through the city making everyone who heard them wonder just what had happened to this young fox that he hated the lady of the council so much.

After some time, some may say it was a long time, others it was only a moment, Sha collapsed onto the ground, his face a single mask of madness.

“Why won’t you even kill me? Old hag? You took everything from me and yet you won’t kill me, why? WHY?

You killed my parents who were mere mortal beasts, you killed my faithful believers who were mere villagers in a remote area. You sealed my divinity and forced me to crawl amongst the mundane. Everything I was, everything I wanted was crushed by you and yet you won’t kill me?”, his voice was just a tiny whisper filled with despair at this point.

“And when I finally wanted to let go and go on, you DID THE MOST STUPID THING EVER AND PROVOKED THE SLEEPING BEAST!”, with a last shout Sha seemed to have used up all his energy.

For some time, it was quiet.

Finally, a voice echoed down from the towering building.

“I do not remember you.”

At first Sha did not react. But then he suddenly incinerated. Blue flames exploded from all around him and he turned into a burning god of fury.

“FUUUUCK YOU!”, his voice echoed out and he slammed against the iron gates.
