“…So I got into a fight with them. Seeing that they can`t beat me even three on one, they pulled out knives. Things got out of control. When the last guy dropped on the ground, I realized the rest of them weren`t breathing. Three guys, charged at me with knives, and that happened. I couldn`t… I was too weak. I was scared, terrified at the thought of losing my life. I didn`t care about theirs. If only I was stronger, I could have kept the people around me safe without resorting to such methods.”
“But they tried to kill you. The court judged you innocent because you saved the bystanders and it was an act of self-defense.”
“No, Kyoya. The parents of those people… I don`t know what would happen to them. Can they ever be the same? Can they recover? Can they forgive me?”
Kyoya looked down. He didn`t say another word.
Seeing the terrible mood his story has created for Kyoya, Kenichi felt guilty. After thinking some things over, he finally spoke:
“I have already taught you everything Taekwondo has to offer. Now there`s nothing more about Taekwondo that I can teach you… But, if you want to learn, I have some techniques left…”
“Please teach me!” Kyoya brightened up immediately.
“These techniques are very dangerous, and should never be used unless you are in a life-threatening situation. For now you can use them on me, with full body armor of course, but don`t ever try it on any other person.”
“Hai!”
Resisting the urge to question why would he react so excitedly to such an ominous introduction, Kenichi resumed talking.
“These techniques make use of our most trained muscles: hips and thighs. So be sure to focus on them even more to achieve the best results.”
“The first technique is a variation of the 180 spinning back kick, called the “Two touch”. It is this.”
Kenichi started with a light side kick, but suddenly switched legs in the air, rotating 180 degree and striking with his power leg. The attack was incredibly fast and deceiving, targeting the liver on the right side.

“You should never jump off the opponent with the side kick to deliver the real kick. You need to be able to rotate with the force of your hips only. That would give more power and control.”
“The next movement is very distinct to Taekwondo. It`s the double kicks. Two kicks from one leg. For example…”
Kenichi lifted his leg for a round kick, but retracted it half way and pushed into a side kick.
“Your thighs should be stronger than a frog`s if you want to deal damage with that. When your strength is sufficient, mix it up all you want. Round kick side kick, high low, side kick hook kick, anything.”
Kyoya nodded like he has never been allowed to nod until now. Kenichi sighed, and moved on to the third technique:
“Now this, I consider a very dangerous one. I call it: crescent armbreaker.”
Kenichi picked up a branch on the ground. He handed it to Kyoya, telling his student to attack him however wanted. Kyoya dashed and stabbed, but his teacher was faster. In a side stance, Kenichi slipped the strike, looping his leg above and around the stick. Simultaneously, he reached for the branch, and twisted his body hard. The stick broke in two.
“This attack is like an airborne armbar. You break their shoulders… pretty much it. Your flexibility needs to be good enough so you can kick as high as possible, catching their strike wherever they might be. Also, the movevent requires your hips to change direction. Go one way to catch their arm or whatever first, and go the other to break it.”
Kyoya nodded. The cracking sound of that branch resounded in his mind.
“That person would have his arm broken permanently, right?”
“Cruel, but true. The combined force of your kick and their weight is too much for the shoulder blade bone to handle. You can step on their shoulder for maximum damage.”
“Hai.”
Kenichi noticed the strange expression on Kyoya`s face. It was not like the normal Kyoya, yet he knew he had seen it on his face some time before. He hesitated. The night winds were starting to roar. In an open space such as the park, whirls pick up speed quickly.
“Ok, so the last technique… It`s a variation of the diving backhand overhead you often see in MMA…”
“Hai.” Kyoya said nothing else.
“You would use your palm to catch the top of their head instead of punching…” He performed it on Kyoya “And then you begin shifting your hips to push your power hand up and tightly grab their chin… Then, vigorously rotate your body.”
Kyoya`s eyes flashed a glint of madness. Despite that, he calmly asked:
“This would break their neck and kill the opponent, right sensei?”
“Y-Yea… You need to have a solid low stance and very strong hips… This attack can be used when…” Kenichi suddenly stopped.
“When, sensei?” Kyoya urged.
“When your opponent is pushed back after an exchange.” He said, his throat felt bone dry.
A gust blasted their hair, messing it up. The wind reeked of blood. Without warning, the lamp post above them died. Yet, in the nightmare-inducing darkness that has suddenly devoured them, Kyoya`s eyes gleamed.
