[Hngh……]

Right now, I am sitting at the edge of a cliff. I am right in front of the cave’s entrance which I had just escaped from. Feeling a bit disgruntled, I look below at the cliff and watch the lush forest.

Though it just a moment, my mind has the idea of jumping off the cliff, but my body wouldn’t do it by instinct because the body itself knows what would happen if I do that.

[Death.]

The height of this cliff is not something that can be jumped by an ordinary human or even a superhuman. Even with this body of mine, I would probably be crushed into meat paste after reaching the ground below.

[God…of all place why did I crash at this cave.]

Thinking about all the event from before, I can’t even think of a logical explanation on how did I end up in that cave. How did I get here anyway? Flying?

[Should I try….. my body’s limit after all?]

No no no no. No that’s not a good idea, even if I survive the jump I would probably be heavily injured in the aftermath. I can’t even heal myself right now, I can’t take the risk.

[What should I do…. I can’t be stuck here forever…]

While pushing my brain to think of a solution, I suddenly notice a disturbance in the forest. The birds which normally chirping and flying around suddenly scattered as if trying to run away from something.

[.………….]

Noticing the disturbance I peek my head over the cliff while trying to see the situation on the source. Fortunately, the situation isn’t far away from the cliff, so I can vaguely see a few silhouette resembling a human and one which a bit different. In a very fast approach, the silhouette seems to be running towards the cliff frantically.

[Human? That’s…. not it.]

From below, I can see one of the silhouettes clearly and able to distinguish its appearance. A woman, a tall one with a pretty well-endowed body, running towards the cliff while shouting something. She also seems to be equipped with a standard hunter armor with 2 swords hanging around her waist on each side. Though the woman has the same body as human, there is two small horn on her head and most importantly she has a pale-green skin color rather than a normal human color skin.

[A Hobgoblin?]

Hobgoblin is a creature originated from a small version of them which is called Goblin, they usually evolved from a goblin or produced as an offspring by a male and a female Hobgoblin. Well, that’s what my memory told me, seems like I still have the general knowledge about this world.

After a few moment, I finally be able to see the other silhouette, in addition to the green woman, there is another 2 where I can finally see their appearance clearly. A man with a large build and another man with a slightly buff build. Comparing both of them would probably be unfair, as the man with the large build has a pretty crazy amount of muscles. Both of them also wear the same kind of equipment as the woman except it’s a male type hunter’s armor set and both are equipped with a same type of greatsword.

[Da……mn…..it!]

Bit by bit, I can hear what the woman shouting especially after she finally reaches the cliff. After a few moment, the other 2 also reach the cliff while trying to catch their breath.

[W-what should we do!?]

While trying to catch his breath, the slightly buff guy seems to be in panic mode and kept asking questions to the woman frantically. The other muscle-guy seems to be able to keep his composure and keep staring at his front, appearing to be waiting for something.

*PAM!*

[Stop panicking you, idiot! Go and set up 5 Earth Wall Stones surrounding us! Make sure it is spread evenly to avoid gaps!]

[A-alright!]

After hitting his head, the woman quickly put her hand into the small leather-bag which is fastened on her left thigh while searching for something. Meanwhile, the guy which been hit on his head also done the same action but with a leather backpack on his back. Discovering what he wants in the bag, he pulls out 5 peculiar yellow-stones from it and quickly goes in front of the muscle-guy. Then he swiftly digs out a patch of ground and put one of the stones in it. Doing the same routine, he arranged four stones and plant it in front of the muscle-guy and another one planted in front of the woman. After finishing planting the stones, he readies himself with his greatsword, standing beside the muscle-guy.

[What are they preparing for…]

While watching them leisurely, I notice that I suddenly can feel a small vibration on the cliff. Just… what is coming? It’s movement even affect the ground here….

[It’s coming, Auria!]

While shouting loudly, the muscle-guy warns the woman, Auria, of the thing that would approach them sooner.

[It’s ready!]

Looking at her again, she was drawing some kind of pattern on the ground with a white chalk. Though it’s a bit blurry, I can see the runes which drawn by her start to glow. Then, the glowing runes which supposed to be on the ground, suddenly start to tremble and pop out from it. The runes start to float around the woman while she chanting some kind of magic spell.

[O Mother of Earth, I beg your mercy to give this humble-self a minor help-]

Slowly chanting the magic spell with her hand both hold tightly to her chest, she completely disregards everything and kept focusing on the chant.

[ Krill! Activate the stones and ready yourself! We will repel it until your mom finishes the chant!]

[Yes father!]

Oh! They’re a set of parent and child! What a spectacle, a full-party of family. That’s pretty rare. Though their situation is quite bad. I would be able to give them a hand if I can get down from though….

[ Earth Wall activate! ]

*SHUM!*

!?

Oh….. that’s my path to get down.
