On A Certain Day: Part 1

The Void

The Last thing that I remember before passing out, I think I was on the train heading to my daily lecturing at that particular University. Although, after experiencing a strange lurching, loud noises…I don’t recall anything else.

Now, as I try to see where I’m currently at; darkness of such intensity resonates.

When I yell out, “Anyone there!?!”

No Sounds of anger, joy, or sorrow are sent my way. Perplexed on the complete lack of sound, noises, and normal vibrations, I’m forced to lay around within this vast wasteland of a space with no footing of any kind that I may stand on.

Time of no meaning envelopes me as I float. Wondering how I ended up in this predicament in the first place, crosses my thoughts every so often.

If I could escape from this place, I would of done that already, yet knowing the method then implementing the resolution of how to flee might result in death.

Death?

Ah, I see now. So I Died.

That was no strange mishap on the train, but a clear and loud explosion towards the front of the train. Thus concluding the inevitable, and ghastly end to many a passenger. Even though strict security was stationed at all the terminals. Well, the attack on trains would still happen as a result of those damn radical Muslims. Peaceful!? Peaceful my ass! Anyone who worships the false ideals of a pedophile should really burn in Hell!

Ah! Seems my anger got the best of me. Now I have to seethe all that frustration on an unjust and unlooked for death for what seems to by my new place of residence.

Even if I want to demand a redue on my own demise, it seems I cannot.

Well, might as well take a very, very long nap till someone else decides to disturb this place of eternal rest.

Goodbye life, and hello sleep! Let us become friends for a while…

Without knowing how long I slept. I regained a sense of consciousness. I awoke to a slowly changing void of eternal night. -to increasingly brighter shades of Black to Grey, then white of such intensity, I thought I went Blind from the sheer brightness encasing the void.

Guess this place of my new residence does go through various phases.

“Actually, this is only occurring because of my influence. Not a phase.” A deep and booming voice resonates.

Guess that idea went out the window.

“Seems so.” Stated the voice in reply to my thought.

Before My very eyes, the world of a white void metamorphosed into a massive hall of pillars of equal length and absurd Height.

Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

Complete with hieroglyphic depictions unknown to me…is that…Kanji?

“-Don’t get over your head on that answer. For it is neither true nor false. Just remember that every culture rises and falls in the passage of time.

Even your way of life with your own culture faces its own troubles, like as of right now. It’s up to your own culture sense of unity to stand united, will it survive the way lays of fate.”

For a voice that I know not, I feel like I gained a headache instead.

“Seems I haven’t introduced myself yet. I was once a Deity of your world in the ancient past. I once justified your Heroes-now long forgotten. I gave reason to those with no other choice, for good or evil. Yet, evil never truly won the confrontation with true righteous principles from your world. I pray that will continue, I truly do.”

Is that so? I pray so too, but recently, I can’t tell anymore from what I witnessed…before I died…pitifully.

“Your right on that, which was why my elder deities took a surprisingly serious view of intervention. Your world is on the verge of yet another world war. But this time around the Gods’ won’t idly stand by and see all our hard work over these millions of years go to waste.

For I, The Deity of Retribution receives your world’s cry of vengeance once again towards those that disregard the teachings we tried to instill upon your race. Don’t worry little one, that false prophet won’t have his way anymore.”

Towards the end of that sentence the very space I resided in gained a sense of a chill resembling deep winter frost. Oh Look! Particles of frost floating around…. seems someone is angry.

“I digress, that world’s purposeful conclusion won’t fall upon your shoulders. For that responsibility falls towards other, more well-known figures from your world’s long history. Who were put there to prevent such atrocities, seems that they have grown lazy on your human festivities. They’ll receive a serious scolding soon.”

Even though I should feel relieved after hearing that, uneasiness I learned that the Gods were lazy and forgetting their duties.

“Walk in a straight path and you will soon find the origin of my voice. DON’T make any turns or you will be lost for an eternity in these halls. The Wisps will lead you, try not to get lost now.” The voice sternly stated, implementing that to refuse this guidance wouldn’t be wise.

Nodding in acceptance, I…floated in the path indicated by where the wisps led.
