16. Human

The child was still staring at him.

Not that he could tell her to stop since he doubt that she could speak owl. Besides, Aariv's attention was mostly the faint glow that the girl has around her which could be described as pure and beautiful.

Though, if he squints closely at the glow, he could barely see faint traces of other colors around the edge of the white, pure glow. Faint, but still could be seen.

Aariv then felt that his danger sense went off, and immediately prepare himself for combat as he turns his head around, looking around for the danger, surprising the little girl.

He spotted the danger, a man dressed in a cloak with leather armor, armed with a bow that was nocked with an arrow that was aimed at him. The man flinched in surprise as he saw Aariv staring at him.

His glow was green, like the forest itself but duller. There were hints of blood red and grey, but not the dull, bland grey the animals had, it was like that of unmoveable steel.

Killing the man wasn't worth it. After all, there was someone that would witness him killing the man and she would tell people about the murder and that would make people try and kill him on sight. Then he would have to kill the little girl which wou—

'Wait. Why am I thinking about killing so easily? One of them is a kid for fuck sake!' And why was I so ready to kill him?' Aariv shook his head and dodge another arrow.

The man, Robin yelled something at the child that Aariv couldn't understand, causing her to run away, after the little girl ran away, the man pointed his bow at Aariv only to see that he wasn't there.

Aariv had already flown away from the scene, still thinking about how easily he had been thinking about killing the two people that he had just met.

The owl sigh, looking at his own reflection in a pond and try to forget about what just happen. However, there was one thing that was on his mind.

What should he do when he encounters more humans?

When he first encounters humans, Aariv flew away from them, and the second time, he was shot at. Then again, he can't exactly blame him, with his antlers, and creepy eyes that he had noticed, along with the way that the feathers around his face make it look like he was wearing his mask, Aariv could see that he looked very creepy and unsettling.

It didn't exactly scream friendly.

"Just how am I going to do," Aariv groan. "I need a way for people to not be afraid of me but I just don't know how." He felt like that there was an answer on the tip of his tongue but he couldn't figure out what it was.

And then there was that glow...That pure beautiful glow...

Aariv shook his head. "Focus Aariv, focus, don't get off track. How do we make people not afraid of me?" He questions. "...Let's look at what skills I have that can help me."

"Let see...no, no, not that, no...Wait [Hynopsis]? How in the world did I forget this! This is what I needed!" Aariv yells. "If people are afraid of me, I can just hypnosis them to not be afraid of me! Though it may take a while before the hypnosis takes effect I can just level it up."

Then he could finally find human civilization and eat normal food, and finally have been able to—

Wait...On the topic of human, will he ever regain his human body or at least be able to have a human form?

Aariv looks at his wings. "It would be nice to have hands again..." He sighs. "Let just focus on leveling up [Hynposis]. Besides, if I continue evolving, I should be able to be similar to that of a human."

And with, he took off, flying through the sky, while grabbing a rabbit for a snack for which he admitted was starting to become a habit.
