A dull glow faintly reaching everything else it failed to touch. Occasionally the indistinct ‘whoosh’ of a gentle breeze would make its way into the main dining area, escaping from the draft of a window situated somewhere deep within the coffee shop.

Pale, birch wood chairs laid stacked on top of tables and some in a corner stacked upon each other, a thin layer of dust beginning to form around them. Only eccentricating the deep brown oval pattern, continuing throughout each piece of furniture. Alongside the matching birch, floorboards were filled with scuff marks – dark lines caused from wear on the floor due to friction from chairs and other pieces of furniture.
