Reaching the mountain was tiring. After a full week of walking through the forest, eating magical beasts meat and storing the cores in his ring, he finally reached the beginning of the mountains, just one more week to go deeply into it.
The sad part about illusion magic is that it had limited effects in beasts. They didn't need to see you to rip you to pieces. So, when savage beasts started appearing, Hiro kept as far away as possible as he sniped them with magic. Nothing less than Adept level spells worked on their leather, fur or skin. He had a few close calls, but finally managed to reach a good place in the middle of the mountains, it was a place he could use to rest when necessary.
So with that said, he immediately sat down and started to cultivate. Over the years he managed to reach the first bottleneck of cultivation, Qi Gathering stage 10. While that wasn't really impressive, since his magic could easily enough kill beasts at the Core Formation stage, that made his body more tough.
Sucking in the rich Qi of the mountains, he breathed in a profound rhythm. All of the Qi gathered at his Dantian, trying to form some kind of image, but it couldn't and it ended up going back to a simple ball of energy.
When the Qi gathered and formed an image, that meant you broke through to the Foundation Building Stage. That image was also your future path. If it was a sword, you would be a sword cultivator. If it was a beast, you would take the characteristics of that beast. For example, if you had a panther as your image, you would become more agile, fast and stealthy.
Now you would ask, what kind of image Hiro was trying to create? Isn't that obvious? Of course is a crown! He walks the path of a King, his cultivation should go along with it as well!
However, he couldn't breakthrough yet. Something was wrong, something was blocking him. Going deep into meditation, he realized that his mana was spread all over his body, making difficult to make any breakthrough with Qi, since everytime you broke through, the Qi would spread throughout your body and cleanse the impurities. So that's why he couldn't maintain the image with his Qi.

Enlightened, he started to practice controling his mana. Since he could already control four sources simultaneously, he should just practice until he could control it all! If he could lock his mana up in his heart with its source, what would happen? Would that be cultivating with mana? Would he also make an image with it? Could someone become a mana cultivator?
Even if someone were to tell him it was impossible, he would still do it! A King is someone who must be looked up to! If no one becomes the first, there'll also be no seconds! The King's job is be that first unattainable position. The strongest. The impossible.
The impossible is only weak people limiting themselves to what they think it's the 'truth'. To them, Hiro's existence itself would be impossible! A reincarnated person from a world where magic didn't even exist? There were no nobles? Are you high or something? That was impossible to the 'truth' of this world. But since Hiro itself is impossible, why couldn't he break a few rules and make his own? No, that's not right. Since he's the King, he makes laws! The king commands himself. With those enlightened thoughts, he naturally became able to control five of the six sources of mana. Just one away of controlling it all.
After this small breakthrough, Hiro kept his seated position as he contemplated on those thoughts. He is The King. The King commands himself. The King commands the laws. The King commands the impossible. The King is the impossible! As he thought about this, he remembered something that he had forgotten. Of course he is The King. After all, with what he bought in the Karmic Shop, he can't be anything less.
