Chapter 6: Change Part 2
One day during school,
At the end of class, Lu Chen walks towards Liu Fei Fei, sitting at her desk and texting on her phone. Lu Chen didn’t care about what she was doing as he asks her abruptly, “Fei Fei, what type of guy do you want to get married to?”
He knew from his parent that the two of them were arranged to marry each other either way. But Lu Chen wants to become someone that will bring happiness into Liu Fei Fei’s life, not into something she would regret.
His eyes sparkle with anticipation, wanting to know more about what Liu Fei Fei wants.
However, Liu Fei Fei didn’t even look at Lu Chen and continues to text on her phone. She could feel that Lu Chen wouldn’t leave her alone until he got an answer. She said indifferently, “I don’t know. A guy with long hair or something.”
Her tone was indifferent, and there was no seriousness to the answer at all. But to Lu Chen, it had made his day as he smiles, “Fei Fei, I will grow out my hair.” He said, hoping to gain some interest.
“Go and do whatever you want.” Liu Fei Fei said with annoyance as she went back to texting on her phone.
From that one comment, it made Lu Chen look the way he did now.

…
Looking back on it now, from the way she said it, it was definitely to make me disappear from her sights. Lu Chen begins to chuckle at how naive he was in the past. He would listen to Liu Fei Fei’s words like they were law.
But it was because of my past self that I truly know what I should value now. Lu Chen hates himself and how he acted in the past. But it made Lu Chen realize what he should be putting value in.
As Lu Chen continues to self reflect on himself, Elder Wu looks at Lu Chen through the rearview mirror.
Something is definitely different from young master today. Elder Wu starts to suspect that something was wrong with Lu Chen.
He’s so calm and mundane right now.
In the past, Lu Chen had always been a prideful and arrogant person. And with Lu Xiaotong’s consistent spoiling of his children as well, it had amplified Lu Chen’s spoiled nature.
Every time Lu Chen would want something, he would get it. Just having this thought running through his head caused Lu Chen’s mind to be corrupted. He had turned into a typical spoiled rich second generation.
However, there was no arrogance of pride coming off of him. Lu Chen was too sirene and mundane that he was a statue.
When he thanked him from before, Elder Wu was a little shocked as he never expects Lu Chen would be thanking him for a simple task. Elder Wu just couldn’t grasp why Lu Chen was acting like this as he was lost in thought throughout the entire ride.
As the limousine pulls up to the front gates of the school, Elder Wu turns to Lu Chen, “ Young master, we have arrived.”
Lu Chen got out of the car and said to Elder Wu, “Thank you, Elder Wu. I hope you have a nice day.”
“...you too, young master,” Elder Wu smiles at him. Lu Chen sudden greeting to him surprised him as he went silent for a few seconds.
Elder Wu watches Lu Chen walk into the school, and as he did, Elder Wu couldn’t help but say:
“Young Master definitely has a personality change.”
Lu Chen goes to First high. First high is one of the top schools in all of China. It is famed for having one of the highest rates of students getting into top colleges.
