Chapter 34: Having Doubts
From the expression she is giving, Lu Chen knew she got the message. Lu Chen continues to look at her with disgust before walking away. Before he left, Lu Chen warns her, "Liu Fei Fei, as of right now, we are nothing more than strangers. All ties between the two of us will be cut off. I promise you this. But before then, don't you dare green hat me." Lu Chen sinisterly laughs as he walks away.
When Lu Chen was out of her sight, Liu Fei Fei slumps down onto the floor. Relief had flown into her body now that Lu Chen is gone. Even though she couldn't see his gaze from all of that hair, she could feel the coldness from it as she felt suffocated.
But she feels even more disturbed was the humiliation she received. This is the second time somebody had spoken to her in that manner, and it came from the same person no less. As she was going to get up, she felt something on the palms of her hand.
Tears? Yes, Liu Fei Fei is crying. The amount of shock Liu Fei Fei receive from Lu Chen had made her cry uncontrollably. The feelings that were inside her starts to burst out as she could help but think,
Why does this have to happen to me?

Lu Chen walks further ahead through the front gates to see Elder Wu is waiting for him next to the black limousine. As Lu Chen got into the car, Elder Wu said,

“Young master, I have sent the photos to an acquaintance of mine. He should have the photos enhanced in a few days?”
"Good." With the pictures, Lu Chen has a small card to deal with the annulment of his engagement. But he knew it still wasn't enough to destroy Liu Fei Fei and Long Shen's relationship. He wants both of them to feel the same pain he had felt as he died.
As Lu Chen thought about what other cards he needs to deal with them, Elder Wu looks at him from the dash mirror. Lu Chen is looking out through the mirror, lost in thought, without any emotion on his face. Naturally, Elder Wu heard the conversation between the two children. He was surprised by the dark emotions Lu Chen had displayed, and now it was calm. Elder Wu decides that he shouldn't ask him about this. It was to give Lu Chen time to sort all his emotions out by himself.
The day is setting, and the sky was turning dark. Lu Chen starts to rethink about the reason he was sent to the past. Doubt was beginning to cloud his mind as the only thoughts going through is;
Do I have enough time to change myself?
Will anything that I even do will keep Lao Ma and Lao Ba alive?
Heck, will any of this even change the future?
Numerous amount of doubt clouds his head. To add to it, he was confused as to why he was brought back to the past. The worst problem that was going through his mind is the scenarios. Imagining that what he changed right now in the past might cause an even more gruesome death for his family.
Elder Wu notices that Lu Chen had knitted his brows, and he decides to step in, “Young master, I don’t know what’s going on with you right now, but one thing you have to remember is; don’t regret.” He thought that Lu Chen was regretting the fact that he’s divorcing Liu Fei Fei.
“Not regret? Elder Wu, how can I not feel regretful? What if the actions that I decide now cause something even worse to occur to my family?”
"Young master, everybody would feel regret at some point. But it's how people can keep moving forward from that regret. If you ever do something you feel sorry about doing, your actions will be half-hearted. And half-heartily doing something would cause you to have a downfall. Remember this young master.” Elder Wu warns.
