PROLOGUE - BLIND?!
“It worked! It worked!”
I can hear a girl shouting, but where is it coming from? The voice seems to bounce around the room like an echo in a cave. Just how big is this place? Wait, why is a girl here? Wasn’t I …wait, where was I before this? Why can’t I remember anything from before hearing the girl?
“Mister Hero! Mister Hero! How are you?!”
The voice is closer now. It seems come from beside me? Wait! Did she say, HERO?!
“Hello, I am doing well. And you?”
Why am I giving a proper answer? Shouldn’t I be asking about what the hell is going? What is up with this ridiculous conversation starting up? There should be more confusion or at least some distress from me.
⎾ Confusion Resistance Lv. 1 – Acquired ⏌
Wait, whose voice am I hearing?
“Um, Mister Hero, what’s wrong?”
Crap, I should keep a poker face. If I am easy to read, then I am easy prey to be used.
⎾ Impersonal Lv. 1 – Acquired ⏌
What’s up with this constant skill acquirement, and who the hell keeps voicing this?
“Mister Hero...?”
“I’m sorry, I let myself get lost in thought.”
I force a smile on my face. I should play along. It seems things might progress faster if I do.
“Okay, that’s understandable.”
I can’t see it, but I can feel that she shrugged it off. That carefreeness is enviable.
“But I’m more worried about why you aren’t facing me. Did I do something wrong?”
I can only imagine in irresistibly cute girl talking right now. I can’t see what you look like, but my son will stand proud to such a cute voice. ⎾ Charm Resistance Lv. 1 – Acquired ⏌Really, I mean am I going to get a skill for everything even breathing?
⎾ Breathing Control Lv. 1 – Acquired ⏌
Oi, I think it’s doing this on purpose now. Bastard! Wait, wait, wait, I’m getting off topic. Does she ask me that mean she hasn’t noticed it? I thought it was obvious. Is it really that unnoticeable or is she as air-headed as she sounds? Well, I guess I better explain.
“I thought you already noticed, my bad, but I am blind.”
“Eh?!”
Hey, wait I can feel your disappointment from here. That’s not the disappointment it is more like she just met something troublesome. I thought she was air-headed, was that just an act? Come on, don’t tell me she is some spoiled person.
⎾ Perception Lv. 1 – Acquired ⏌
Ahhh…It seems you are working overtime, oh great mysterious voice, who I have no clue where you are coming from.
*Tch.
I heard click her tongue. Be more discreet if one does that so loud, the other party would surely receive damage to the soul. I mean being blind doesn’t mean being deaf, you know!
“Sigh, I can’t understand why the hero summoning brought us some defective junk. God dammit! Can’t any of you do anything right!”
She is a bad person. Cold sweat is pouring out of me, and I am trembling. Just from her voice, I can tell she is a sadist who enjoys toying with the lives of others…well, not actually, but that seems to be the development here. ⎾ Perception Lv. 1 rose ⏌⎾ Perception Lv. 2 – Acquired ⏌Crap, I need to leave, but neither do I know where to go nor what I am supposed to do.
⎾ Would you like to activate Limit Skill – Forced Evacuation? YES/NO (1/1) ⏌
What’s with this convenient plot development? Also, going from what I know from what is being asked I can assume the (1/1) means I only get to use this once, but I will use it. YES!!! Yes!!!
⎾ Forced Evacuation activated – Destination: Random ⏌
Great mysterious voice, take me away!
“Hey, what are you doing? Stop this right now! I said stop this now, bastard!”
I can hear screaming, and running at me. Faster, faster, I can feel her getting close. Please, Mister Voice go faster.

Magic power? Hero summoning and magic power!? Does this mean that this is one of those fantasy scenarios where a hero comes to another world? Isn’t this like a-
It’s like a- like a…crap I don’t remember. It doesn’t matter I’m tired. I’ll just rest for a little whil, and I’ll remember when I wake up. That is it! I’ll remember when I wake up. Maybe.
PART 2
(Note: This part has large amounts of information on the world and its continents. It also touches briefly on its history as well. I wanted to try to give some information, while not revealing too much. Since I will explain in later chapters about Skills and Magic, I have chosen not to mention too much as of now.)
. . . . . . . .
This world comprised three continents, Thirio, Andras, and Pnevma. The residents of each continent have minimum contact with each other, while there has been no war between continents there is also little trade between them considering the oceans around the continents are filled with dangerous sea beasts and monsters. It is for this reason ocean travel is not used and they have to rely on the natural formation known as God’s Bridge, which is a roughly 2 km bridge that connects the three. Even with the bridge isolation is still the adopted philosophy.
The largest continent is Thirio that is roughly 5.7 million km2 and is home to the Beastman race. The beastmen are a race of humanoid beings that hold animalistic characteristics, and are inept at using magic but as in compensation have peerless physical strength. Thirio is divided into two kingdoms that lie in the north and south. The northern kingdom is the Holy Marka Union, an alliance of beastmen that believe in the Marka Faith, a religion where the devouts believe the world was created by the Holy Beast Marka, an omniscient and omnipotent being that has the head of a crocodile, the body and front legs of a bear, the wings and hind legs of a hawk, and the tail of a scorpion. While similar to what one might call a manticore it considered heresy to call Marka as such. The country is ruled by the Priest-King, a position held by the strongest, and in which a tournament is held every 50 years to decide who will rule. The capital, Pisti, is located on an ocean front at the northernmost peak.
The southern kingdom is the Great Dragon Dynasty, a kingdom founded by those proclaiming to be a descendant of dragons, the Lizard, Newt, Snake, and Dragon beastmen. Originally persecuted for being heretics against Marka for their belief that the world was created by the magic of dragons and that dragons should be held with the highest respect. The four species of beastmen formed an alliance and rebelled against the Holy Marka Kingdom, and then successfully formed a kingdom in the south under the rule of rebellion leader, Dakon Dynami, and for a hundred years his family has continued to rule from its capital, Dynami, located in the center of the country.
Thirio is a rather fast developed country, which is thanks to its research in trying to arm beastmen with magic power. While magic power can still not be used, various advances have been made. Such as the creation of spirits, items imbued with the magic of the surroundings, and as well as items of convenience such as the Spirit Carriage, a self-propelling carriage. Out of the three countries, Thirio is the most advanced.
The second largest continent is Andras. Andras is inhabited by the Human race. The continent is roughly 4.7 km2 and is comprised of numerous city-states under the rule of the High Pope. The High Pope is the highest authority in the Church of Psemata, the church believes in Psematism, a belief that man should never mix with or interact with others outside of Humanity for doing so will taint the soul that God, Psemata, so graciously gave to all of the humanity. As one would expect from such a religion, humanity keeps to extreme isolation. Since the Church holds the continent's power it strictly enforces the belief. While this may seem to keep the peace and prevent skirmishes between city-states it has also led to humanity being the most undeveloped nation. Humanity is considered average in both magic and strength, while there may be some who abilities that surpass their peers they would never match up to the strength of other races.
The third smallest continent is Pnevma, a small continent only roughly 2 million km². This is home to the Elf, Dwarf, and Fairy race. These three races hold the highest magic power out the three continents. The continent is broken into three parts with no clear boundaries. The Land of Zoi, a heavily forested with no developments lying to the southwest and is the home to the Fairies, next is Sidirourgos in the southeast with several large city-states in its Mavros Mountains, a large mountainous region that covers almost a fourth of the continent, and is the home to artisans, the Dwarves, and lastly is Ieri Gi, a beautiful land that intertwines nature and technology and is the home of the Elves. These three races are nature-oriented and believe that to reach harmony, one simply has to live without being blackened, or simply put remain in peace with nature, never taking too much.
These three continents may vary in ecology, terrain, and inhabitants, but they have one simple thing that bounds them, monsters. Monsters are animals that have been corrupted by too magic and have become powerful beings that follow on instincts. While some monsters may hold some intellect, it is a very rare occurrence.
While there are three continents there are some that believe there is a fourth continent, and that belief can be proven if one was to travel through the southern seas to that land. This land is roughly 10 thousand km² and has a rather tropical ecology. This place is Polemos, home to the last race that has been unknown to all other races, the Daemons. Daemons have varying appearances depending on their tribe but tend to have humanoid appearances, and another key feature of the Daemons is the fact they hold Magic stronger than the Elves, Dwarves, and Fairies, and strength greater than the Beastmen. It can be said they were a race built for war, but like all other races they did not declare outside of civil wars due to the fear of ocean travel.
Daemons are ruled by the strongest amongst them, and this position has changed many times over the centuries. The ruler changes after each new civil war until the year 673. When in the capital of Fovos, the current residence of that year’s ruler, Omorfia Vasilissa, the Blood Empress. The Empress had risen to power after defeating her predecessor the Ogre King and became the first Oni to rule Polemos and did so with an iron grip. It was in this Empress time that a phenomenon happened in the plaza of Fovos. A man with cascading white hair and pale skin like porcelain appeared wearing a simple white robe, and after his sudden appearance, he became cocooned in abundance of magic that crystallized giving birth to a brilliant crystal tower that could be seen from anywhere on the island.
Polemos was in an uproar until it was noticed that anyone in a kilometer of the tower had their wounds healed and magic power restored. It was then that it went from fear to awe. A rumor flew through the island claiming that a god had descended to grant them power, and with this, the White Faith was born. In its doctrine, the Daemons were blessed by the White God and to please him must offer him the world. It was with this belief that a 300-year conquest was created, and was to be known as the most bloody and horrific event known throughout history. All other races under were brought to near extinction by the Daemons, and those that survived went into either hiding or became slaves. This was a black detail in history known as the White God’s War.
Endless blood was spilled because one human wanted to live, and by doing so millions were killed. The Hero became a Slaughterer blind to the deed he committed and the world that was created from it. This is the tale of the man, who will become known as the Blind Hero.
