Chapter 28: A New Hunter (???)

At a rough, noisy bar on the outskirts of Raventon city on Rogue Island, a woman dressed in black entered. She made her way to the bar, ordering a stiff whiskey. She had a black wide brimmed hat on her head, long dark hair making its way down her back. Dark pants graced her legs and a red leather jacket fit tightly around her slender torso, two tattoos marked her face, one below her left ear, another below her right.

The bartender was quick with her drink and she paid him in cash. He leaned close, “You may not want to stay too long miss. This place can be a little rough on the fairer sex.”

She ignored his concern and took a sip from her cup. “I’m not planning on staying on this godforsaken island any longer than I have to.”

“The bartender’s eyes grew wide as he stared behind her. He then quickly moved away from where she was sitting.

A large round figured biker with a balding head approached her, “This here is our bar Missy. You want to drink here, then you have to pay the tax.”

The woman exhaled a sigh. “How much is the tax?” she asked nonchalantly, not even looking up at the huge leather ridden man.

“The tax is a good time for me and my buddies here,” he slammed a fist down hard on the counter and a cheer came from a group of large men behind him. “And you ain’t leaving, ‘till you paid it in full.” As he finished speaking, two large men got up, blocking the door, revolvers in their hands.

The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

“That’s far too expensive,” she replied, taking a sip calmly from her cup.

“Well you don't set the price,” the man replied.

She downed the rest of her drink before tilting her head slightly so she could size him up. “You were amusing me, but now you are bothering me. You have five seconds to go and sit down and let me be. After that, anyone in this bar not sitting will die,”

The man burst out laughing, “Are you threatening me?”

“Five,” she started counting

“What you going to do?” he said, turning to his friends who joined in the laughing.

“Four.”

“Oh no, please don't count any lower...” he carried on jokingly.

“Three.”

“Stop wasting my time lady,” he said turning back to her, frowning.

“Two.”

“Your payment’s due now,” the large biker grabbed her arm, knocking off her hat and revealing a large scar down her otherwise plain face. He took a step back in shock, “It's you...”

“One.” She finished counting. Drawing a sword from her side, she moved around the bar, quickly dispatching the group of bikers who weren’t sitting, before returning to her seat.

“You should attract better clientele.” she asked the bartender, who was crouching behind the bar.

“Y.y.y.y Yes miss. Your right. D.D.D.Don’t worry about the mess, Just please don’t come back.”

She walked over a group of dead bodies and out the door, looking down at a piece of paper, “Soon Hyung… Chronos will be mine. Then I can finally get off this joke of an island.”
