Chapter II: [Love Interest]

The boy looked at his mom with an innocent smile.

- …… Do you love us…?

- Mama an’ papa are the bestest!! I love mama an’ papa!!!

The boy said those words with sincerity and kindness. The woman smiled, her hands trembling.

- W-We love you too, we—

The boy felt his head hurting. Why was he hurt…?

- … Tsk.

He opened his eyes slowly and blinked a few times. Sahar put a hand on his head, trying to remember what happened… He was out, gathering informations when—

- What an ugly glance.

He had been hit for no reason. He was just walking along, and he had been hit. Sahar had no idea why. What was wrong with his glance? It took the boy a while to notice that something was wrong: the sky was not visible. What his eyes saw was... a roof? He had passed out in the street, so that meant…

- I've been picked up.....?

He felt the ground beneath him shift with a jolt, nearly knocking him over, but he didn't move. He didn't know where he was, but if he stood up, he could find out. Removing his hand from his head, he sat up without much difficulty and turned his head.

He was in a carriage.

- W-Whaaa…?

The seat underneath him was not the most pleasant and Sahar could tell that it was leather. The rest of it was made mostly of wood, but he couldn't tell which one, because it was all painted to form patterns that he didn't understand. Some kind of cogs, and shapes... shapes without any meaning. He finally noticed that the carriage was moving quite a bit. He looked out the window, even though there was no glass. He approached the door and looked at the landscape. It was scrolling rather slowly, and he could see its details. Well, there wasn't much to tell: it was just trees and bushes. However, something was different from the forests on Earth: here, the trees were all pink.

The bark was more orange than brown, which looked oddly good. As for the bushes, they were pink, mimicking the foliage of the trees above them. He was calmly observing the scenery when he jumped up and backed into the back of the carriage. Something had been added to the scenery, and it was only—

- Ooow!! You are awake!!

The head of a girl.

But upside down.

- …!!!

Sahar sat upright in the back of the carriage, one hand on his heart. It was beating fast. Sighing heavily, the boy closed his eyes as he calmed down. When he opened his eyes, he noticed that the girl had disappeared... He was about to stick his head out the window when he heard noises above him on the roof of the carriage. So she was upstairs…

- But who is she…??

He had no idea where he was or where he was going. Had he been rescued... or kidnapped? Beginning to ask himself a multitude of questions, Sahar looked from left to right, hesitating to jump out the window, or do anything else... He could also just try to talk to the girl, but was that the best solution...?

- Heeeewwwoooooooo!!

Sahar turned around suddenly, clutching the door behind him tightly. He had let out a cry of surprise when she had shouted in his ear, not expecting it at all. The door behind the girl was wide open, which made Sahar realize that she had come in that way. He hadn't heard her at all, though…

- H-He… Hello…?

His heart still racing, Sahar managed to say hello. It was when she smiled at him and tilted her head that the boy noticed how beautiful the girl in front of her was...

...super beautiful.

Her mint hair that fell to the small of her back made Sahar want to feel it and touch it, so soft it looked... The girl's eyes were strangely menacing, but at the same time, calm. Their dark red color gave that impression, but the rest of the girl's face gave the other impression. What surprised Sahar the most about the pretty girl was her clothes:

Pajamas with sheep-girl heads drawn on them.

Sahar was speechless, just not knowing what to say. Struck by her beauty, it was the first time he had found someone so beautiful. In his class, on Earth, there was an "Amanda" who was gorgeous, but the mint-haired girl in front of him, SHE, was on a much higher level. The boy's heart, which had calmed down, began to race again as her melodious music reached Sahar's ears. He opened his mouth, but could not say anything, which intrigued the girl, who questioned him with her eyes.

- Mmmh~? Have you lost your voice? she asked with an innocent glaze.

- N-No…

The girl, who seemed amused, let out a sigh. Her face changed completely, the smile having fled. She continued to look at him, but stood at the back of the carriage and closed the door. The mint-haired girl crossed her arms and read her foot on her knee, her eyes clearing from the boy.

- Tch. You are not the type of guy who talks a lot, right?

Letting her disappointment show, she broke away from the boy completely and looked ahead. Sahar didn't know what to say. How could he be anything but silent? He didn't know where he was, where he was going, why he was here, let alone who this girl was! What did she want? For him to be super cheerful and talk like they've known each other for years? He opened his mouth, a little forced smile on his face.

- Yeeeeeah… Excuse-me, I’m still tired…

He didn’t want to bother her, so he said sorry. The girl looked at him before letting out another sigh.

- Yeah, I just hope you talk more, because people who don’t talk a lot… are boring as hell.

- … I agree…

What to say? He wanted to ask more about her and why he was there, but he had a hard time daring it. Why?

- Anyway.

Sahar was only looking at her.

- Who are you?

- … Eh?

The boy blinked, confused. What do you mean.....? Was she...... serious, there? SHE was asking that???? Sahar looked out the window and then back at the girl, who was waiting. He closed one eye briefly and answered as best he could.

- My name is Sahar… but seriously… I should be the one asking that, no…?

The girl, who had listened to him, took back a friendlier look on her face, even if her beautiful smile had not returned. She ran her hand through her hair to put it properly and put her hand on her thigh.

- Sahar, riiight… My name’s Nyara!

It was a pretty name; Sahar loved it. He smiled at her, finally learning something. Well, it was only her name, but it was a good start. The carriage started trembling, which surprised the boy.

- !!!!

He held on tightly to the door, putting his hand through the glassless window. It felt like an earthquake. He looked at the girl to see if she needed help, but....

She had her arms crossed and both feet on the ground.

Nyara acted as if absolutely nothing was going on.

Staring at her with stunned eyes, Sahar couldn't do anything but be surprised. The shaking was really violent, it was downright vomit-inducing. But Nyara didn't feel any of this. Feeling watched, she turned her gaze to the boy, eyes a little tired.

- Www-Whaaaaat-T??

The vibrations were audible in her voice. Closing one eye, she yawned, dislocating her shoulder a little, which did her good. The boy stood there, clinging to the door as if his life depended on it. He sighed when everything calmed down and the world was quiet again. Sahar sat back in the seat and looked at the minty-haired girl.

- Where are we going…? he asked briefly.

- To my home, she answered without a care.

- In your… home?! Why?!

The girl was going to answer when—

- Nyara, come!!

She rolled her eyes and opened the door. Sahar was reluctant to follow her. He knew nothing of this world, nor anything about Nyara and the other man who had just called her. He still didn't know what to do when she looked at him, both feet on the ground.

- Wait right there, I'm coming.

Even though she had a smile on her face, she had thrown those words out as a warning. "If you go out, you're dead.

That was how he took her words. Not wanting to cause trouble, Sahar showed her his thumb, which made Nyara wince. The boy questioned her with his eyes, not understanding her reaction, but she shrugged and closed the door.

He was now alone in the stationary carriage. He remained more or less motionless, waiting for the return of the beautiful girl.

- She's really pretty, though…

Her mint hair looked really soft. He would like to caress them, but how strange would it be if he asked her that? They didn't know each other at all; they just knew each other's names! Sighing at his own foolishness, he nodded his head from left to right as he looked at the ceiling. He was a man after all…

Twiddling his thumbs, he noticed that he couldn't hear anything. The window let the outside air in, yet he couldn't hear Nyara or the other man talking. The wind was the only thing audible, but it was so faint that it was barely audible. Seeing nothing else to do, Sahar just imagined how the world could be.

- I really hope magic exists, there. Anything basic or not, having the power to control fire, water, air… All that type of stuff, yeah… he thought.

He looked out the window and enjoyed the view. The trees were not so tall, but really beautiful. They were peaceful to watch, the leaves falling from their branches gently, slowly, calmly.

- What a peaceful view…

Thinking aloud, he rested his head on his arm resting on the door. Looking at the world in front of him without thinking of much, he continued to daydream.

- ... Will I be able to make a Harem, really......?

He had originally said that out of excitement, but now that he thought about it, it happened in manga, in fictional works; not in reality. Of course, the same could be said for teleporting to other worlds.

- In real life, if you can teleport to other worlds, maybe my life will be the same as a cliché shonen protagonist? he wondered.

These were fantasies; Sahar knew that very well. If the protagonists lived like that, it was because the author decided so and they often had a "strong" personality. Sahar was going to do his best to be as "strong" as possible, but first he would have to see if he even had a power, or whatever it was.

- If at least there is such a thing....

Sahar still didn't know anything. He knew that the sun also existed here, that most of the materials used are the same as on Earth, and that the people of this world also spoke his language. It wasn't much, but it was something.

- It’s really possible that life there is without anything interesting and that I will live anything… exciting.

He had nothing against love stories, but he was more into action, adventure, secrets and fights. Reading them, watching them or living them was not the same thing, and Sahar knew it. The one time he'd tried to fight someone, he'd gotten so peachy that he had to miss school for four days; and even after that, he'd always been blue. He was rather weak physically, and his non-existent muscles were concrete proof. He had never learned a way to fight, and his only knowledge on the subject was limited to what he saw in anime... He was going to have to train…

Still in his thoughts, Sahar had not moved his head a millimeter. The landscape in front of him no longer mattered; he couldn't really see it anymore, so focused was he on his imagination.

- Oh right, catgirls exist in this world… I want one on my side…

He really intended to have a Harem. Even though he would prefer to have only one love, he didn't say no to having girls around him who wanted to feed off of "him". In short, a dream. Closing his eyes slowly, a smile on his face, he imagined how it would be... to have his Harem…

The boy was sleeping peacefully. Sahar had closed his eyes and fell into the world of dreams.

- … Do we wake him up…? asked someone.

The girl smiled and said no with her head.

- Nah, let him sleep. On the road, will we have such shocks again?

The man shrugged his shoulders.

- You should know it better than me.

Nyara sighed with a smile both bored and amused on her face.

- I am not going out that often and I don’t come here, so what do you want me to answer?! I just don’t know! said Nyara.

- Don’t be angry, princess. If that happens, sorry for him.

With these cold words, the boy closed the door on the girl who was planning to insult him. Nyara huffed and sat back in the seat, arms crossed. Releasing a quick glance towards the sleeping man, she finally smiled again.

- Hehehe.

With that, they set off again.

- Can you imagine, we could actually get teleported to another world?!

The brown-haired boy said this while pounding his fists on the table. Sahar laughed and calmed him down at the same time.

- Max, don't yell like that, man. This is school, not your house, he said.

- Yeah, yeah, screw that. If we can't talk about what we want, what's the point of going out?

- Yeah, but if people think we're weird, it's your fault.

Maxime's eyes rolled back in their sockets as the white-haired boy took a bite of the delicious sandwich in his hand. Carefully chewing the food out of his mouth, Sahar looked at his friend with a smile.

- But I must admit, it would be nice to be summoned to another world.

- Yeah, I know! shouted Maxime. Frankly, let's not lie to each other, I'm not saying no to having a ton of girls fantasizing about me.

Sahar chuckled.

- Yeah, but who would say "no" to a Harem, man?

- You'd be surprised!

- I guess, yeah.

- Hey, boys, keep your voices down!

The blonde-haired girl next to them grumbled at them, one cheek a little more swollen than the other. Maxime stuck his tongue out at her, which made her even more angry.

- You're really a kid, it's not possible! Sahar, I don't understand how you're friends with this kind of thing.

- I'm not a "thing", Mrs. I-nude-for-my-buddies!

- You're dead, Maxime.

The girl threw him an aluminum pellet and stood up, changing places. She passed by Sahar and bent down to his ear.

- - - - -- - - - - -- - - - --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------q-------------------------------a-------------------------------s----------------------------a---------------------------------------------h-----a-----r------------------------------t----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------sa---------h-a----r---------------------------saha----------------r-------------------------s—

- OH, SAHAR!!!

Waking up with a start, the boy looked around to see who was shouting his name like a madman. Taking a slap in the face, he came to a complete stop, as if he had been turned off. He blinked and shook his head, looking ahead. Red eyes stared at him, his reflection visible inside them.

- You take time to wake up, holy!

Nyara let go of that as she pulled her head back. Sahar held his head as he sat back in the seat, closing his eyes. A disturbing sensation in his right arm, he looked at it with still tired eyes. He had slept on his arm... Slime was visible on his jacket, which no longer had visible sweat marks... but still smelled. He hoped Nyara didn't smell anything. She called out to him and Sahar looked at her. He saw behind her that the landscape was still moving, which meant they still hadn't arrived.

- Sorry for waking you up like that, but we need to talk, she said.

- ……..

- To be honest, there are things to be said.

- Yeah, I want some explanations as well…

Finally. The moment Sahar had been waiting for: the moment of explanations. He had too many questions to survive any longer. It had been a rude awakening, but it was worth it. He had his ears wide open and was staring awkwardly at the girl sitting next to him. She let her eyes meet his and began to speak.

- Well… Do you know why you were unconscious on the floor? she asked.

Sahar looked up briefly before nodding.

- A woman hit me in the face without any reason… he answered honestly.

- What? Why would she do it without reason…? Have you done something you don’t want to say…?

Sahar shaked his hands in front of him with a “No, no!”

- She said she didn’t like my glance before hitting me, from what I remember! he said. I don’t really understand that, but it’s been for a long time that others mock my eyes…

The boy had twilight eyes, which was probably a color only found in manga; but he did. His parents told him that it must be a genetic problem and he had to keep blue lenses for a very long time. It wasn't until he was 17 years old that he took them out and dared to show those special eyes... Nyara squinted her eyes and finally closed them.

- ……….

She said nothing about it, but she finally tilted her head a little to the right, the right corner of her lips rising.

- Uh… I don’t know why she said that, then. Maybe she doesn’t like that color? Nyara said.

Sahar shrugged his shoulders, no guess about it. What he knew was that he got down with only one punch… He wasn’t ready, though…

- Anyway.

Sahar looked at the girl again.

- If you are HERE, in this carriage, it is obviously because you were picked up on the street. I guess you have enough brain cells to figure that out. You were on the street, on the ground, and I thought I wasn't going to leave a poor boy there, so I took you in to nurse you back to health, she explained. I wasn't going to leave a boy on the ground, helpless, passed out, in the middle of that crowd.

Sahar opened his eyes wide, a small glint in his eye. This glint was caused by Nyara, who was beaming at him. Seeing that she was being looked at like that, she looked away a little, then sighed.

Unauthorized usage: this narrative is on Amazon without the author's consent. Report any sightings.

- Aaah… That won’t do… she said.

- Uh?

She scratched her hair as she looked at him.

- If you look at him with such a cute glance, I can’t lie…

- …….

Sahar said nothing. She sighed again.

- Well, really. It was when Az..... when we went down that street, as a "shortcut", that we found you. He offered to take you in, but I really didn't want to take you, actually. I really don't care. He just pushed it and told me he "felt" something about you, but frankly, I think HE'S JUST TOO KIND, HELL, AZ?!

The twilight-eyed, white-haired boy blinked several times. For a while, it had glowed, but now the glow had..... lost its way. Sahar looked down a little.

So basically, if he understood correctly, she had only saved him... because he had been asked and forced...? He didn't have the strength to clench his fists, so he just accepted reality. In his mind, he saw this girl as his "Love Interest". The main girl who will become the girl he loves, and that he will manage to be in a relationship with at the end of the adventure.

But strangely enough, for some reason, that glint in his eye had disappeared. He was probably....... just disappointed. She had gone from "I don't want to see others suffer" to "I don't care if I see others on the floor, passed out.”

Afterwards, Sahar knew it was just his imagination. He had never put it that way. In his heart was just a feeling... was disappointment. He shouldn't be so sentimental, especially for so little. It was just ridiculous, he knew it very well. The girl, seeing that the boy had looked down, bit her lower lip.

- Did I hurt him?

It was not his intention. After all, she had just lied to him literally without much reason. She was about to say something when she closed her mouth. Her eyes staring at the ground, she closed them and looked back at the boy.

- Sorry for saying it like that, in a cold way… Don’t take it like that… The reason I lied was to have your… trust… I’m dumb, excuse-me, Nyara said.

The boy raised his head and looked at her again. On the girl's face was a sorry look accompanied by a small pinch of a cute smile. She looked sincere, from what Sahar saw... His twinge in his heart did not disappear, but he understood her.

- No… worries. No worries about it… Sahar said.

- Thank you!

She widened the smile on her face and put her head on the seat, looking ahead.

- Anyway. We were running errands, WHICH WASN'T USEFUL, RIGHT, AZ, and we saw you on the street, she said again, shouting out half her sentence. The thing is, you don't really have any injuries, except for... I mean, you'll see that in a mirror, it's not disturbing, it'll go away in time.

A man had laughed, at the front of the carriage. The white-haired boy touched his face and felt "something" on the left side of it. He had never had any injuries or marks on him, so this was new. Was it the woman who had done this to him....? Plausible. Laying his head back on the leather seat, he sighed.

- Barely arrived, already wounded, uuugh...... he let out softly.

- Barely arrived? the girl repeated.

Sahar opened his eyes, noticing his stupidity. He couldn't say he was from another world called "Earth" or "Planet Earth", could he? Looking for an excuse as quickly as possible, he had no idea what to say. If he said something that wasn't consistent with this world, he was in trouble. All he had to do was be vague and brief, then go with the flow of the conversation... That was the best solution.

- A-Aah, yeaaah, about that… I’m not from there, eheh…

He was blushing and Nyara looked at him with a little shock on her face.

- You aren’t from there…? I mean, it’s true that your clothes are… strange. I mean, this sweater you have, it’s made of wool, right? Polar? It’s only rich people who are wearing this.

Sahar had a wool sweater that his mother had made for him three years ago. He touched it and clenched his fist, remembering that on the other side, he had left everyone... without news. He hoped his parents weren't going to... He shook his head, not being able to think about that now. If he started feeling guilty like this, he wasn't going to move forward. He nodded.

- They offered me this sweater and I love it a lot… I would be really bothered by the loss of it… Sahar said with sincerity.

- Eh, understandable. Then, are you from the south?

- Not… from this continent.

Sahar stopped. A silly smile on his face, he had just noticed his stupidity: he had no idea if there were continents here. What if it was like Pangea? What if there was only one continent? What if they didn't call it "continents"? He tried to hide it, but he was under a lot of stress. He was sweating again, under his clothes. He looked at Nyara and saw—

—that she seemed happy?

- REALLLLYYY???!!!!!

Nyara bringed her head so close that they almost kissed by accident. Sahar backed up to the back of the carriage, surprised by this reaction. He noticed that in Nyara's eyes were almost hearts and stars. Why was she in heaven like that? He nodded shyly. With the wind caressing his hair, Sahar felt the warmth of the sun above them. Nyara let out cute little noises.

- I am so… happy!!! I always wanted to meet someone from “the continent that is out of the seas”!! I need to know how the continent is, tell me, tell me!!!

And the regret began. Feeling a small lump in his stomach, Sahar interpreted it as the stress of the situation. He had no idea what "outside the continent" was like and didn't know if he was allowed to make it up. If he was wrong, she would figure out that he was lying and trying to hide something; and from that moment on, he would REALLY be in trouble. After that, it was only a hypothesis, but from Nyara's reaction, she seemed to know nothing about the other continents. Maybe he could lie to her and she wouldn't notice.

- .................

And that's when he realized the other reason for that ball in his stomach.

He was going to lie.

When she had literally just said that she wanted to have his trust.

- I am… trash.

This girl in front of him, Nyara, was probably his "Love Interest". That was what he told himself, deep down, with his "anime fan" mind. Yet, they barely know each other, and they were already lying to each other? Were they really going to start a friendship based on lies?

No. Was HE going to start a relationship with HER based on lies? Sahar thought this was pathetic. Maybe he should just admit that he was from another world. Deep down, he asked himself if nothing was going to happen there, if he admitted it......?

Swallowing his saliva, he saw the impatient look of the girl in front of him.

- …….

Telling a lie, telling the truth…? Or—

- R-Really sorry, but… I can’t say anything about where I come from because of… reasons.

Or just avoiding the question. He wasn't really lying, since it was true: he couldn't - probably - talk about his world, and at the same time, he wasn't making anything up. It was the best solution he could think of. Nyara, who was excited to the bone, took a look of disappointment and sighed, rolling her eyes.

- Pleaaase!

- I-I can’t…

- Pleaaaaasse!!!

- B-But…

- Don’t be like that, why wouldn’t you tell anything about where you come from??!!! One little thing is suffisant, I swear!!! We can’t go or see the other continent, so I really need to knooow, I sweaaaar tell meeee!!!!! PLEAAASE!!!!

- B-But, there is… a reason why you can’t go there…

- I don’t hella care about that stuff, just tell me right now!!

Starting to get angry, the girl insisted as much as possible. The boy, having no idea how to react properly, ended up telling himself that he had to dismiss the subject. At this rate, she was going to explode.

- … Stop it. I don’t trust you enough for talking about it anyway.

Nyara backed up her head with a shock.

- You saved me and I really thank you for that, but we don’t know each other. It’s true that I have nowhere to go, but it doesn’t mean we are bound to each other for life…

- Exactly!!!

The girl yelled and found her excitement back. The boy was surprised by her reaction.

- The reason we are bringing you to my house is because we didn't know if you had "somewhere" to go! I originally thought you were homeless, but from the way you're dressed, it seems odd... Even now. What do you mean you have nowhere to go?

- ...... Let's just say, there was "trouble"....

- ..... Oh..... Well, let's make a deal.

- Mmmh?

Sahar was all ears.

- I'll put you up in my house, and you can tell me what you know about the outside continent.

- ........

This seemed acceptable. Sahar would have liked to say "Yes" without thinking about the rest, but-

- .... N-No....

It was his heart who refused.

She seemed like a nice, caring person; he didn't want to have a "deal" like that. Get taken in and then lie to the person who saved her? What kind of asshole would do that? He wasn't one of her people, anyway. Nyara seemed surprised, letting out a small "Oh?”. Sahar caught himself as quickly as possible.

- What I am afraid of is… not being able to keep such a promis, Sahar explained. I don’t think I can talk about the place I am from anyway… If that happens… I don’t want that. I really don’t. I don’t know if you… understand me.

- … I do… I do, yeah.

A disappointed look delicately settled on her young woman's face, Nyara kept her smile, but lowered it in intensity. Sahar lowered his head a little, disappointed in himself.

- Well, then, help us with work at home, okay?

The voice of the man who called himself "Az" was heard. Nyara nodded.

- It's less advantageous for me, but I admit that it would not be refused. It's a pretty good deal, right?

Sahar had always hated housework. It wasn't that he found it tiring, but it was time consuming, and when you fail, you have to start over. It was really boring. However, this arrangement seemed rather perfect, at first glance. It was possible that there was a catch behind it, like the house was miles square and it would take him thirty hours to clean it all up. At that point, he would have been trapped and this deal wasn't really fair anymore; he would rather live on the street. He asked just in case.

- Is the house really big?

The man laughed, which made Sahar afraid, but Nyara answered:

- It shouldn’t take more than three or four hours the first day and then, it depends on how much time you want to invest yourself everyday, I would say.

- Oh?

- Yeah. If you clean up one day a week, you will take more time than if you clean up thrice a week. It all depends on you, but at least once a week is required.

- Oh, I see. Well, all I can do is accept, then.

She smiled like a cat and nodded.

- Well, then, we have a deal!

- We needed someone like Sahar anyway, ahah! said Az.

They all laughed together.

- Theeere you go!

Opening her arms wide, Nyara pointed to the gigantic room in front of her. The walls were lined with a beautiful pink, which was a visual delight for the white-haired boy's eyes. On the ceiling was painted a fresco that depicted a man in the middle of many dead bodies, but it was painted in a weird and violent, even incomprehensible way. He had no idea what it represented; a massacre? Why paint that in the living room? Leaving that detail aside, this painting was really beautiful and well painted. On the floor, a pink carpet that was the same color as the walls was laid on the floor, still a little visible at the corners. On top was a table with eight chairs around it. Often, tables were rectangular; but this one was round. Made of a wood that was beginning to wear out, the table looked like it had been through more adventures than he could imagine. One of the legs was so damaged that Sahar wondered if it would break at any moment. Nyara nudged him, which brought him out of his thoughts.

- The table has been damaged like that for ten years now, so don't worry about her! Nyara said.

It was as if she had read his mind. Sahar nodded wordlessly, mouth open, and walked behind Nyara. Her pajamas were a little too big for her, which was really cute. Following closely behind her, Sahar turned around quickly, but saw no one. By the time they got out of the carriage, the man named "Az" had disappeared; but Nyara didn't seem to mind.

The boy found this strange. He had really disappeared without a trace, without a sound. Just like that. The girl in front of him stopped suddenly, in front of a wooden door. She turned and told him to wait, explaining briefly that this room was HER room - Nyara's room, alone. Sahar was not stupid and brave enough to ask to sleep with her; he would have been slapped with a "You're crazy, you". This situation could have been funny, but he preferred not to do anything stupid. Maybe it was frowned upon, in this new world; whose name he still didn't know. What should he call it? "New World?” That was rather..... lame? Nyara was about to close the door when Sahar called out to him.

- Mmmh…?

- I… What do you call this world… y’all?

It was rather a strange question to ask, but she was thinking that he came from the other continent, so it was okay to ask it. She looked at him with a strange look, but finally answered.

- Well, the world or Duzmog…? Do as you like, it doesn’t really matter! What do you call the world?

- D-Duzmog as well, I was just wandering.

"Duzmog." Sahar found this name..... quite nice, actually. The World or Duzmog, then. The boy smiled and waited outside the door, resting against the pink wall. He had taken off those shoes and socks, because Nyara had advised him to; and he understood why now.

The carpet on the floor was SO nice to feel!!! It tickled his feet calmly and gently and at the same time, it was so soft...... He looked to the left, then to the right. Sahar, seeing that there was no one there, got down on her knees and then.

- Aaaaaa~!

He Put his face against the carpet, as well as his hands. It was so......

- What are you doing??

- UwaaaA!

He had barely started to rub his face on the carpet when Nyara's voice rang out from above him. Hurrying to his feet, he almost fell like an idiot, but managed to stay upright. He looked at her with an embarrassed look on his face, but did not manage to speak, looking at the two fox ears on his head. Having a brain bug, Sahar blinked repeatedly, his lips tight. Nyara, seeing this silly look, laughed.

- Ahah, are you doing such a stupid face because of them??

She touched one ear as she continued to laugh. Unlike her hair, the ears were very...... black. It looked great on her, and it was really beautiful. Sahar loved it, even though he was still bugging.

- … I didn’t see it coming.

Unpredictably, he had dreamed that she was a cat-girl, but it had been only a dream; which was almost reality. She was not a cat-girl, but a fox-girl; which was almost better, because their tails were softer. Nyara, still amused, tilted her head a little towards Sahar, which made him back up against the wall. Still smiling, Nyara let go:

- You want to touch? They're real, I promise!

The boy's heart filled with so much love that he thought he was going to throw up rainbows. Swallowing his reflux of love, he pointed his right hand awkwardly at the girl's black ears. He was about to touch them when the ear "fluttered", which surprised Sahar, who pulled his hand back. Nyara laughed at him.

- Are you really afraid of them? Nyara laughed. Don’t you have people like me, where you live?

- W-Well…

He couldn't miss this chance. He had ALWAYS dreamed of touching fox ears! Putting his left hand on his left ear and his right hand on his right ear, he started to rub them gently, which made Nyara blush. Assuming less and less, Sahar didn't know if he was going to make it out alive. His heart wasn't that strong; he couldn't handle the feeling...... !!!! Touching them for the past ten seconds, Nyara let out a "Fufu~" and shook off the lover's grip with a chuckle.

- I see that you love this sensation~!

- I do.

Nyara put her hair up properly and began to move forward. Sahar noticed that she did have a fox tail on her back. Beginning with the same color as her hair, it ended with black fur. Really...... so beautiful. So...... mesmerizing. The movements that the fox tail produced made Sahar want to sleep on it; but he wouldn't get that opportunity for a little while.

Probably.

Nyara turned her head a little toward Sahar.

- I only agreed to let you touch them to prove you they were real, nothing else; don’t hope touching them a lot, okay? Nyara smiled.

- S-Sure.

- Mmmh… Well, there is your room!

Nyara stopped in front of another wooden door, almost identical to the other one. The golden handle seemed to wink at Sahar; but that was just the reflection of the light. The boy thought of a question, but the girl spoke first.

- It is the room for guests, but it’s so rare that we just don’t use it anymore; so yeah, it will be your room, now!

Inserting a specially shaped metal key into a diamond-shaped lock, she finally produced a pleasing click and opened the door without too much difficulty. Nyara was careful not to let the door slam into the wall, but she easily managed to stop the movement. Sahar entered the room like a tourist and marveled at its grandeur. The walls were wallpapered in different ways, with royal blue this time being the dominant color. A three-seater bed stood in the middle of the room, touching the wall behind it with delicacy. The furniture in the room was arranged in a logical and rather symmetrical way, which gave the room a nice and tidy look. A smell of old and wood mixed in the air, penetrating Sahar's nostrils, but it was not unpleasant at all. Closing his eyes to enjoy the smell, he didn't see that Nyara had settled into the bed, lying down and stretching.

- MMmmmph...~! It's a pretty big room, but a little smaller than mine, hehe!

Letting out a small, petty laugh at the end of her sentence, Nyara tossed that aside as she got into a sitting position on the gigantic bed. Sahar looked at her, smiling and happy to know that her room was so spacious. Nyara got up from the bed and walked past the boy.

- I'll call you in five or ten minutes, we have a couple of things to see, she said.

And with that, Nyara left the room and closed the door, leaving Sahar standing there. He blinked and ran to his bed, lying down in it briskly. He took a pillow in his arms and felt that it was soft enough to fall on the floor. The smell was also very pleasant for his little nose. Seeing that the mattress was deafeningly soft, he let out a sigh of relief.

This bed was perfect. He had to test it by sleeping in it, now.

He looked up at the ceiling with a smile and noticed that there was no mural here, just royal blue paint.

- Well, it looks like my adventure starts here... he thought dreamily. I wonder how this will turn out…

Closing his eyes, he took advantage of the time he had to imagine everything that could happen in this new World, whether it was too crazy to be true or not. Nyara was in the kitchen, while a figure stood in front of Sahar's door. It was smiling.

- ...... I see.
