The week had already passed, it felt like a quick dream, but I had packed everything I needed since Excalibur Academy did provide dorms.

it was an 8-hour drive to it, and it was the most boring 8 hours I could ever have but nonetheless it was kinda sad leaving my hometown, but all things must come to and end and honestly I wish these things didn't have to come to and end so abuptly.

but once we reached there it felt like relief, I said my goodbyes and grabbed my stuff and quickly went to my dorm, since this specific academy was run more like a school, they gave you a year obviously and then they gave everyone in your grade the same schedule, and the nice thing about this being a private school and having dorms, is we get our own room granted we are in the same building, the only downside I see to this private academy is that fact we have a specific uniform, that benefits our Power like mine is a yellow suit that helps me store electricity, at least I think it does.

I set my stuff in my room I was room 113 and the halls around me were filled with people which made it difficult to get through.

we had orientation tomorrow and from what I could research that would determine if I was allowed to stay at the school.

it had gotten quite late and I was lying down, when I heard a knock on my door, so I went to answer it and there was about 4 or 5 people standing there at the front there was a Red haired he wore his uniform and it said 2nd, which meant he was a second year and beyond that he looked quite muscular "Wanna join us for our sparing session" I nodded "Sure why not" I noticed he walked with confidence he seemed to want a strong opponent so he knocked on a few other doors before a blond-haired man said "I doubt anyone else is going to join"

after that we went down to one of the designated Sparing fields and to my surprise there were a few people already fighting "So who here has used their Meta ability before?" my hand was raised along with 2 others "So I think ill put you and you, and Mr White hair will go against me" I nodded, and walked to one of sides of the sparing arena I felt the sand under my boots, it was completely flat but had a red border around it signifying where there was a not fight zone, I stoped looking around and got ready.

I didt know what his power was but considering how he held himself it seemed like it could be a powerful ability, maybe a strong fire type ability would make sense, but who knew it could be anything

Someone on the side started to count down, and then they said go

I immediately used some of my stored Electricity to Accelerate my thoughts, I also lightly applied it to my knuckles,it tingled it felt as if electricity was right outside my body but I was inside me, it seemed as if the man was just going to stand there

but he was rapidly doing squats, I moved to close the distance when suddenly the ground below him exploded, and he was flying at me with incredible speeds, if I didn't have though acceleration active then I would've been knocked out but I managed to block him

he brought his arm up so I tried to punch him but he quickly brought one of his arms down to block my hits, and he powerfully slammed his elbow into my neck, a sonic boom could be heard and on top of nearly going deaf I felt my neas buckle under the pressure, but I wasn't about to lose my fight so easily

so I grabbed onto his arm and send as much electricity into it as possible, this made his arm lock up allowing me a couple of seconds to escape his area, his attacks they were too fast to just be nothing and he hadn't yet shown any other powers.

I thought about what I had seen up till that point, I think he can store momentum and release it suddenly that is one of the few things that makes sense.

beating him was a slim chance if that was actually his power especially since my reserve of electricity was already low, I had to finish the fight with one decisive blow, I gathered all the electricity into my palm and rushed towards him

if this didn't work then I would lose, losing to me didn't exist this was just a learning experience with my powers

control of his right arm wasn't complelty restored yet, as I got closer I saw him raise his left arm it looked like he was getting ready to strike me the moment I got close

I was about a foot away when I released the electricity from inside my palm creating a high-density ball of lightning that crackled with the sound of lightning, I felt the cold pressure of the wind, as I was about to strike him with it he smacked me with his right, I went flying barely holding onto consciousness when I hit the ground the electricity ball also made impact and exploded the ground creating tones of glass.

i fainted for a few minutes I was told, the red haired man was actually surprised that I had such control of my power to be able to form a condensed ball.

"So whats your name?" I asked him after the match, he responded with "Ashford Sable and you" he extended his hand and I shook it "Im Grey Sterling, and I'm a first year" he nodded "Well Nice to meet you, and you've better pass that Exam so we can spar again sometime, alright" I nodded "Alright"

I was disappointed in my performance during the fight since in my last life I did way better, even with just my fists, I guess I might be trying to rely upon my powers too much, I guess I just expected more out of myself, I haven't really trained this body yet, so maybe I should start that soon, no no no I should've started it years ago, I'm going to fail if I keep procrastinating like this, and if I fail everything dies or becomes slaves, no that's not the mindset to have I won't fail.

"So you wanna go eat, using Crimson Dash uses a lot of calories" I nodded and we started to walk to I assumed the cafeteria "So I'm guessing you ability stores Momentum?" Ashford seemed surprised "Most people don't guess that, but yea that's what it pretty much does, and your ability do you naturally generate that electricity or is it stored?" I felt my eyelids getting heavy as I got more tired "I have to store it and replenish it everyday" he frowned "Well that kinda sucks, no offense meant" I yawned "None taken" I looked down at my watch is said 9:14, we reached the cafeteria area and he got some type of soup "So are you from around Here Grey?" I shook my head "No I live about 8 hours away, do you live near here" he nodded "I live about an hour thirty from the Academy" a few people walking by pointed at Ashford "are you popular here?" he chuckled "Well amount the 2nd years I kinda am, but that's just because I've beaten most of their asses" I nodded "Would you say that you know most of the 2nd years then?" he nodded "Look over there you see the blue-haired boy" he pointed to a corner where a boy was eating seafood "thats Tommy, he friendly if you know if but well most people don't" he ate a few more bites and then pointed "You see her" it was a women with lushes long white hair, I nodded "Thats Tessa, she's well not to seem rude" he paused for a second "but its true, well shes kind of a Hore" I wouldn't have guessed that, I finished my meal and left.

after that we went out separate ways and I went to my dorm room, my body ached from over use of my ability, there was many thing I could've done better during the fight, I thought of that before falling asleep on accident .
