Chapter 1

Brian opened his eyes, as the grey clouds above came into his vision.

He rubbed his eyes as his drowsiness faded and he sat up to observe his surroundings.

(...am I on a rooftop? And is it going to rain?...)

(...wait a minute! How did I arrive here?!...)

Brian clutched his head as he tried to recall the past events.

(...I had been on a bus... my name is Brian... Ah! the System! Let's ask it what's going on...)

Brian tried his best to contact his system, but he didn't get a single reply from it.

(...did something happen to the system... hah.. let's try finding out where exactly am I... only then can I return to work soon...)

Brian got up and scanned his surroundings in detail. He walked until he reached the edge of the rooftop and stared down at everything.

What he saw, blew his logic into smithereens.

[What the fuck! What kind of animals are those? And why are most of the surroundings devastated like this?]

As Brian tried to look into the horizon, he could see that the building he was on was located at the other side of the city, while the city center was nowhere in sight.

Accurately speaking, a pile of debris lay at the center of the city and in an almost circular pattern, the buildings away from it were more preserved than the ones near it.

(...am I in some War Zone? B-But, those monsters... I have never seen anything like them before either...)

Brian's confused state remained until he decided to probe into the matter himself.

(...if this building is so preserved, then there must be some inhabitants around... let's try finding them and gathering information for now...)

And so, Brian cautiously moved towards the stairs and started to descended them.

Upon exiting the stairs, Brian found a hallway in front of himself & 4 rooms were located on the floor.

(...this must be the luxury suite of this building... such a large area and only 4 rooms...)

(...someone important must be living in these... let's try contacting them...)

For safety purposes, Brian grabbed an Iron pole and moved towards the first door.

Before knocking on it, Brian tried to listen to the sounds inside the room by pressing his ear to the door.

After not hearing any sound from inside the room, Brian moved forward to the next door.

He repeated this action, right until the last door.

Upon pressing his ear, Brian could hear someone munching something inside the room.

Brian became delighted that he could finally find some vestige of life and stood up to knock on the door.

*Knock**Knock*

[Anyone Inside?! I need help here! Please, open up.]

Brian waited for a good 10 minutes, but the door remained just as shut it had been before.

Knowing it to be futile, Brian turned around and started to walk away from the floor.

When all of a sudden, the door behind him opened up and someone grabbed his neck with a rear neck hold and dragged Brian inside the open room.

[Ah! Wait!]

*SLAM*

Brian was thrown head first into the bed, before his hands were tied up with some rope deftly.

[FUCK! That hurts dammit!]

Brian flailed and tried to look at his assailant.

[Who do you think... ah?]

Brian had imagined to have been mistreated by a grown and sturdy man, but the attacker turned out to be a woman.

Correctly speaking, the woman seemed more like a girl and looked to be barely above 20.

Her wild red hair was spread across her shoulders, while she was dressed in a black leather dress that stuck to her figure closely.

Her breasts were bigger than the most women Brian had known and her waist seemed very curvy. Her hips were wide enough to easily give birth to twins.

Her face looked flawless to Brian, while the vibe she gave off made her appear a bit dangerous, just like a rose.

The woman, however was also closely judging Brian and soon spoke,

[What do you want? Why were you looking for me?]

Brian was frightened and excited at the same time. He had a lot of questions to ask the beauty, but decided to answer her first.

[My name is Brian. I don't know how I ended up here, but I came to ask around and to collect more information.]

The woman scrutinized Brian quietly for a while, before she sighed and sat down on a couch near her.

[I don't know what you are playing at. But, don't take me lightly. It won't be my first time killing someone, got it?]

A chill ran down Brian's back as he suddenly found himself in the company of a cold blooded murderer.

(...a psychopath?.. how am I supposed to deal with someone like her?!...)

Brian gulped his saliva and prepared himself to ask her a few things, but before he could speak, the woman spoke up herself.

[On second thoughts, why don't we do it like this. I will ask you something and if I am satisfied with your answer, then I would answer yours afterwards. It's fair, right?]

Brian immediately wanted to protest, but the gun beside her quelled all the tantrum.

(...let's try to be nice to her... don't wanna make this psychopath any crazier...)
